Rixos Premium Magawish Suites and Villas

Restaurant People. Great service from Mobark Khalefa.

Stayed at this resort for 10 nights in September 2026. We arrived to the Magawish at 01.05 in the morning, really tired after our travel from the UK. We had the WORST welcome in any hotel we have ever been in. Hardly any greeting or warm welcome, asked for our passports and then told to sit down. We waited for 15 minutes until the man from reception finaly came over to us for us to sign some paperwork. He then went back to the desk and left us still sitting until 01.35. By this time we were tired, angry and thirsty. Not even an offer of a drink of water. I went back to the desk at 01.40 to ask what was going on. He then said he would get the bell boy to take us to our room. We finally got to our room at 01.50.
Our room was lovely and we slept well until building work woke us up!! We went back to reception that morning to ask about the building work ( they were building and refurbishing the Rixi Club) and to see how long it was going to go on for.
A manager came out to see us, Mr Hazem Obaid, who was so lovely to us, and a complete contrast to the welcome we had had. He said he would find us another room, and proceeded to show us two upgraded rooms. We chose the lagoon ocean view room as this was an amazing room and met our needs. He looked after us the whole holiday and we can't thank him enough. We had smiles on our faces for the rest of our holiday 😁😁 our room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and Khalif kept it so clean. Thank you. Also thank you to Saksham Bhatt who made reservations for us at the resteraunts. We ate at most of the A la carte resteraunts, all were great with lovely food and great service. Our favourites were the Italian and the Indian.
The Adults only Panorama bar was fabulous. The staff there were so happy, helpful and polite. Thank you. We ate at the Society for breakfast a few mornings and this was so lovely, again with lovely servers, as the turquoise buffet could be so busy and noisy. The second buffet resteraunt ( Mosaic) opened during the last days of our holiday, this was such a lovely place for lunch with lots of choice. We used the pools at the Lotus area quite a lot as this area was calm and quiet compared to the Adults only pool ( very crammed and busy) and the lagoon pool which was really lovely with jacuzzi's built in and had entertainment going on. The lifeguards and the bar man at the Lotus pools were amazing. They greeted us every morning, put our towels on the beds, sorted the umbrellas out and kept the areas absolutely spotless. They are all assets to this hotel. We also must mention the gardeners who worked so hard and kept the whole resort looking fabulous. Also the buggy drivers who were all so friendly. All in all, after a very poor and uncertain start, our holiday just went up and up and we had a fabulous holiday due to the fantastic staff and service we received.
