Quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and lots of activities if needed without pushy staff.

Good relaxing experience

I visited with my daughter in January as a uni graduation present. As others have mentioned, the rooms esp bathrooms are dated and need some repair work, although everything is kept very clean and tidy (shoutout to the housekeeping for room 216, he was lovely, always said hello and left towel art and petals).
However, having visited Egypt many times and stayed in many hotels, I will say that the hotel staff are the friendliest, most polite and helpful I have met. Any issues are sorted quickly and efficiently and they genuinely go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. I requested a late check out and was given it for free and still got to have lunch which I wasn't expecting as they are clear in the literature that all inclusive ends at 12. Most impressive is that they knew who we were and what room by sight so any messages were given to us as we walked past reception. 
Food options are limited and somewhat repetitive which is understandable given the small food serving area but everything is fresh and personally I'd rather limited options rather than a mountain of food waste. On the odd occasion it was busy we were quickly found a table and asked if we needed anything.  Bar staff (waves to Sam) are also all lovely - I don't drink at all so can't comment on cocktails or alcohol although my daughter had two or three during our stay and said they were ok - but my favourite sparkling water was always cold with a slice of lime. 
The ladies in the spa are fabulous and it is very reasonable - had two hour long full body massages, a head and face massage and saunas and jacuzzis for about £50 each total. Came home zen and with baby soft skin.
The dolphin trip booked on site with Go Shalabi was brilliant, only 20 euro-  boat guys were just lovely, food fantastic, finally got to see a wild dolphin and was the best day out - my only caveat (and this is with the company not the hotel) is that the photographer on that trip is quite relentless. I asked him not to take photos of me and he did, plus made my daughter very uncomfortable when he whisked her off for posed photos on Orange Island - when said photos arrived the day we left I could see the uncertainty her face and why, the poses he suggested were extremely suggestive and provocative and it made me angry as she is still only 21 and not confident enough to say no. He also gets in the water for the snorkelling to take underwater videos so I didn't get in the water as I knew he'd ignore my request not to be included and any footage would also be sold to anyone else on the trip and I'm just not comfortable with that. It was the only dampener on an otherwise lovely stay.

Peaceful place for winter sun

Amazing hotel and very helpful, friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome from arrival and treated us very well throughout. Would definitely recommend and come again.
