Discretely tucked away in the grounds of a well-tended 7,000 m2 garden, this property provides self-catering accommodation with an outdoor pool and poolside snack bar overlooking the sea on the island of Crete. A kids' and a babies' pool are available for our young guests. There is an external jacuzzi for relaxation in the right spot. The beach is only 250 m away and there is a golf course just 3 km from the grounds. All the studios and apartments open out onto a balcony or patio with sea and mountain views. Each unit has a kitchenette fully equipped with a cooker and refrigerator. A hairdryer, free toiletries and bathrobe are provided. The 31-room establishment also has a playground for the younger guests, complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the whole complex and free private parking is available on-site. Restaurants and shops are to be found in the two nearby villages (both 600 m from the complex), guests can ask for guidance from our staff, who speak several languages. Heraklion Airport is 23 km away.
Hersonissos in Crete is an area renowned for noisy Brits and many other nationals letting their hair down. Water Parks, Bungie Jumps, Go Karting and mad entertainment rule.
But just a few hundred metres away from the main road and all this mayhem lies the tranquil and beautiful Villa Vicky.
The grounds are a paradise of lush planting, the swimming pools are perfect for adults and children with a restaurant and bar set back discretely from the sun bathing terraces.
The minute you enter the gates you feel a calmness not found in many areas of the world.
The family run and beautifully tended apartments are stylish but subtle at the same time. You never fell any pressure to do anything you do not want to.
The staff were all more helpful and charming than I have found in a long time.
I do not speak Greek but was able to make myself understood with no problem. The majority of the guests are either Dutch or Scandinavian and they were all well behaved. Children were looked after by caring parents.
For a man who dislikes sunbathing and prefers action this was the perfect antidote for a manic working period.
Walking alone in the early hours or working in my room all was calm and the perfect place to take stock and recharge.
Thank you for a truly brilliant experience.
It was a family hotel! Many returning guests and it was quiet and pleasant even though it was close to the heart of the city. The staff were really nice and we really only have positive feedback. We don't usually want to go back to destinations, but we would love to return here!
Cosiest and most relaxing stay. Really familiar and such great hostess.
Everything is so good and we love to come here again and again.
Arrived to an immaculately clean apartment with beautiful views over the pool / trees / mountains
Balcony was lovely to sit on and got the sun each morning, so cool on afternoons
Staff were pleasant, polite and friendly and welcoming everyday, always chatty
Check in simple and quick, even helped with bags which was very much appreciated after a long day travelling Small issue with cracked cup and leaky kettle was resolved quickly within minutes - brand new kettle was received
Bathroom was spacious, lots of storage and hooks - very well kept, although shower head had to be held (grip / hook was broken) and although small was functional and plenty of hot water each day
A very calm, well maintained location overall a pleasure to stay - loved the gardens, olive and pomegranate trees all around the site were delightful - lovely gardens which are well kept and pretty throughout
Pool bar was good, nice menu to choose from and comfy seats around pool to sit at - drinks were cold, plentiful and much needed
Spar shop 5-10 mins walk, had everything could need Short walk to beach, or local restaurants and bars within 10 mins walk- lots of choice to pick all manner of cuisines
Very nice, cosy and spotless little resort with a pool, lovely gardens and very nice accomodation, ours with a lovely little terrace onto the garden, pity we could only stay one night, we recommend it. Vicky is a very agreeable and hospitable host.
