Outstanding island resort
I had a wonderful experience at this resort .The choice of restaurants was excellent, offering a fantastic variety of options, and the food was absolutely delicious. What truly made the stay special was the outstanding customer service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The combination of exceptional dining and excellent hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fantastic experience and would love to return again!
Perfect setting for our proposal
The resort is stunning. The water is crystal clear, the grounds are beautifully kept and spotlessly clean, and our Deluxe Overwater Villa was splendid, with beautiful views right from our deck. It was the perfect place to relax and celebrate.
What truly set our stay apart was the team. David, the Resort Manager, went above and beyond before we even arrived. He personally made sure the proposal was well coordinated and kept a complete surprise. Haneef, the Event Manager, arranged the private dinner on Gulhifushi Island flawlessly, and Fuch, our waiter, made the evening truly special. He decorated the setting beautifully, made sure everything ran smoothly, and took the time to walk us through each dish. Joelle, the Guest Relations Manager, welcomed us so warmly on arrival, and Faz, our villa host, looked after us wonderfully throughout the stay. Alaan, our photographer, captured the proposal beautifully, and we'll treasure those photos forever.
Everyone we met was welcoming, friendly and genuinely caring, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. If you're planning a proposal, honeymoon or any special celebration, I can't recommend Anantara Veli highly enough. Thank you to David and the entire team for making this the most memorable trip of our lives. We'll definitely be back!
Travel Experience of Anantara Veli Maldives Resort
My stay at Anantara Veli Maldives was absolutely wonderful. The accommodation exceeded my expectations in every way. The overwater bungalow is extremely spacious and perfectly located right in front of the resort’s Thai restaurant. The view and location are fantastic, offering peaceful and stunning ocean scenery every single day.
The snorkeling here is amazing and very safe for guests. Thanks to the resort’s breakwater, the water is calm and shallow. I could easily get down from my overwater villa to snorkel, and there were many beautiful fish swimming around the house reef. It was such a relaxing experience to enjoy clear blue water and marine life right at the doorstep.
In terms of dining, the black tiger prawns were incredibly delicious. However, eating Western food every day became a bit overwhelming, and I was tired of Western dishes by the end of the trip.
On the other hand, the Thai restaurant dinner was absolutely the best meal on the island. I loved it so much that I dined there for two consecutive days. The breakfast at Cumin Restaurant was also great with a good variety of options.
The highlight of my entire Maldives trip was definitely the SPA service at Anantara Veli. The spa experience was incredible — even better than the massages I have tried in Thailand. The atmosphere, technique and service quality were all top-tier. My only wish is that the session duration could be longer. It would be perfect if the resort could offer a 50% discount on SPA for in-house guests, as I would absolutely book it again and again.
Overall, Anantara Veli is a beautiful, quiet, and highly comfortable resort with great accommodation, safe snorkeling, and wonderful spa treatments. It has been an unforgettable holiday.
An Unforgettable Anniversary Celebration at Anantara Veli Maldives
We celebrated our anniversary at Anantara Veli Maldives, and it was truly one of the best holiday experiences I have ever had. From the food and facilities to the staff and overall service, everything was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations.
A huge thank you to Alok, Amir, Saeed, Imaadh, Agil, and Ali for making our arrival so special with breathtaking bed decorations, a beautiful bubble bath, stunning sand art, and a delicious anniversary cake. These thoughtful touches made our celebration even more memorable.
Our villa host, Hameez, was exceptionally professional and attentive throughout our stay. He made the check-in process seamless, arranged all our bookings and dinner reservations, and provided excellent recommendations whenever we needed assistance. His dedication and attention to detail truly made a difference.
I would also like to give a special mention to our housekeeper, Fazeel, who was absolutely the best! Every day, whenever we returned from breakfast or dinner, our villa was beautifully refreshed, cleaned, and restocked, making it feel brand new all over again. He also surprised us with beautiful bed decorations that added an extra touch of magic to our anniversary stay. His thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and dedication to making us feel comfortable were truly exceptional. Thank you, Fazeel, for making our stay even more special!
The team at Cumin, our breakfast restaurant, was incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite the busy operations, the staff were always attentive, welcoming, and ready to assist whenever we needed anything. Their warm hospitality made every breakfast a wonderful experience.
Baan Huraa is an excellent choice if you want to end your day with a delicious Thai dinner. The entire team was professional and welcoming. I would especially like to mention Fadhia and Ooh, who were super friendly and went the extra mile by taking some amazing pictures of us after dinner. These little gestures made our evening even more special.
Overall, Anantara Veli Maldives is an exceptional destination for celebrating special occasions. The beautiful surroundings, outstanding hospitality, delicious food, and thoughtful attention to detail made our anniversary truly unforgettable.

Heaven in the Maldives
Anantara Veli was a beautiful resort with all the services you need to have a blissful holiday. The staff were great, especially our villa host, Ibrahim who made sure our stay was seamless from the moment we stepped foot on the island. The food and drink options excell and the addition of Tropicsurf made our holiday perfect.
