Shameem is really nice boy. Very positive and kind.
Maldives is rightly placed very high on many bucket lists. The experience we had was amazing. The resort- Cinnamon Velifushi is a small jewel in the over 1000 islands. Very beautiful place and our water bungalow was just gorgeous. Saw dolphins race our speed boat, swam with sea turtles, sharks and thousands of other fish in their natural habitat- a memory to relish every time we look at the pictures. Staff at Velifushi were very caring and focused in making your experience delightful. If I was to name a few- Rajji (kitchen), Hanasini and Maan (restaurant/ waiter) and Saddam Hussain (Dive centre- excursions) are absolute assets to the team.
Over all an amazing experience and recommendable to all those who have Maldives on their bucket list.
This resort is clean, tranquil and service was excellent. Rooms were faultless. Staff great. Only reason it got a 4 is the food and ambience in restaurant. I understand spacing the tables allows more privacy but the lack of decor or table linens makes it feel very stark and unwelcoming. The food was good but not exceptional I’ve experienced on other islands. I enjoyed my stay and I’d recommend but wouldn’t return.
We stayed at this resort as part of a Tripadeal package to SriLanka. It was a great way to end a coach tour over 4 days in The Maldives. We stayed in an over the water cabin. It was great to be able to wake up to the sound of the lazy lapping of the waves against the poles holding our room above the ocean. And to be able to step down from our veranda/deck into the ridiculously blue water and swim with all manner of fish is something I will long remember. The food is quite good and is varied to some degree each meal. The included drinks are ok too but the wine is from a cask unless you want to pay extra, but beer and cocktails were great. The boat trip from the airport to the island may be a bit long for some at 90 minutes but it really doesn't seem that long when you are watching the blue sea and numerous other islands pass by. Our driver stopped on the way as there was a large pod of dolphins cruising nearby. Smoking is still a thing on the island and was noticeable in some of the areas like the Fen Bar and also from other nearby cabins. I thought it funny that in the cabin, which is made of timber and has a grass/leaves for a roof, they supply you with an Ash tray and a box of matches. On the whole we had a very good stay.
Chef Raaji is so nice asks us everyday what we would le for food as we are vegetarian. He not only takes the time too ask us but the food os the best vegetarian food I have ever had in my life. The resort is fortunate to have such a chef
