terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. We arrived with a confirmed eDreams reservation, but the hotel had not kept our booking and offered us no solution or understanding. We were left stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay. Extremely poor service and completely unacceptable treatment. I would never recommend this hotel.
Amazing hotel - Diamond is the best!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fabulous stay at Meraki Resort!
We had a fabulous time at Meraki Resort — it really has everything you need for a fun-packed holiday. The resort itself is spotless, but what really makes this place special is the staff. They work incredibly hard and genuinely make you feel welcome.
A special shout-out to Diamond and Memo from the entertainment team. They were fantastic, made us feel so welcome and are a real credit to the hotel. I’m sure this won’t be the last we see of them! ❤️
🏗️ Building work
We did have one issue relating to the building work during our stay. A large amount of rubble fell from a great height from the building site, landing directly outside our room door. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but it could have been extremely dangerous had it hit someone.
The hotel offered to move us to another room, which we appreciated, but as we were nearing the end of our holiday, we decided to stay where we were. The rubble was cleared up promptly, and the hotel did respond to the incident by offering us alternative accommodation.
I think this is something the hotel needs to take seriously from a health and safety perspective, particularly with guests walking around the area.
🚤 Excursions
We booked the private speedboat trip to Orange Bay and White Island, which was a lovely day. The only downside was the onboard photographer. I had specifically requested that we didn’t want a photographer, but unfortunately they seemed more interested in taking photos and videos to sell than allowing us to simply enjoy the day. That was disappointing.
Another huge shout-out to Mohamed Ali from Ant Safari, located onsite just below the steps leading out of the main buffet restaurant. We booked the private quad and buggy sunset tour with him and it was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it. If you’re only going to do one excursion, make it this one — it was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday! 🏜️❤️
Things I would improve to make Meraki a 10/10:
- More variety in the party music 🎶
There is a lot of techno/EDM music. Although I appreciate this is part of the party atmosphere, a little more variety would appeal to a wider range of guests.
- Less pressure to buy party tickets/table packages
There seemed to be quite a lot of selling of tickets for parties, and personally I’m not a fan of having to pay for a table just to have somewhere to sit.
- Be careful with the pharmacy attached to the hotel ⚠️
This is not a criticism of the hotel, but definitely a warning to other guests. I would avoid using the pharmacy attached to the hotel building, on the left as you leave the resort.
I was charged £39.20 for just three items for an upset stomach. The price wasn’t clearly shown on the card machine, and I noticed that the original prices on the products appeared to have been covered with sticker barcodes showing higher prices. When I questioned the charge and asked for a refund, the staff were not particularly helpful, but thankfully the hotel management stepped in and helped me get some money back.
Again, this is not the fault of Meraki, but I wanted to mention it so other guests are aware and check prices carefully before buying anything.
❤️ The staff are definitely the best part of Meraki!
From Diamond and Memo in the animation team to the fantastic bar staff at Floaters Pool, the Lobby Bar and Sports Bar, everyone works incredibly hard and is genuinely friendly and welcoming. They really do make the resort what it is.
Overall, I would highly recommend Meraki Resort. I was actually a little anxious before going because I thought it might be mainly aimed at 20-year-olds, but I really didn’t need to worry. There was a great mix of ages, and we felt completely comfortable.
Despite the few issues we experienced, we had an amazing holiday and would definitely consider coming back. ❤️🌴☀️
A Fun, Unforgettable Stay at Meraki
I had such an amazing stay at Meraki. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The property is beautiful, the beach is amazing, and the food was honestly so good with plenty of options. But what really made my stay special was the people—everyone was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. I had such a memorable time and would definitely love to come back!

Not great
The actual hotel is good , good staff , good beaches, good rooms. The area it’s in is a complete dump. It looks like it’s been through a war. You do not feel safe in Egypt . Would not visit Egypt again. Is it value for money , not really . The food is average and the drinks are knock offs , been ill since been home.

Meraki Hotel Hurghada 25/9/26 to 2/10/26
It's my second time here at the Meraki Hotel in Hurghada and again it was a great Holiday.
The facility is perfect for relaxing, with everything at hand for a great stay, with no need to venture off site if don't want to.
The staff are all so helpful, they are happy to get any issues you have sorted. From reception, bar staff, to your room attendant. They will ensure your stay is a good one.
They do have a few night parties, though most are out of ear shot. For me, this was not an issue. As though I was not one to join in. I do enjoy music and the ambience of it.
I must send a sincere thanks to the Chef Shalash, for the great food and for making feel heard when I came to him with an issue. If you do have any issues please do speak to him, he will get it sorted out and ensure your stay is a great one.
I would definitely recommend this resort and I send a Big Thanks to the Meraki team.
