Our family was looking for a holiday destination for ourselves and our three children, aged 9 and 11, for the summer of 2026. After looking at hundreds of hotels, we chose Jaz Makadi Saraya Resort. I paid close attention to the reviews and Tripadvisor ratings, where the hotel scores very highly among most visitors, so we decided to give it a chance.

We booked three weeks and were a little unsure whether that might be too long or whether the children would get bored. On the contrary — according to them, it was the “best holiday ever!”

I cannot praise the staff enough, as they were the main reason for our wonderful experience! They treat you with kindness at every step, regardless of the long and extremely hot working days. Every single member of staff deserves a great reward, because they are the ones who create the atmosphere and make guests want to return to this hotel again and again.

The hotel itself is not the newest or most modern, but the staff more than make up for what it lacks in standard. It may not be the most exclusive resort, but it is certainly one of the most charming and full of personality. I am left with nothing but positive memories, thanks to the people who work tirelessly to keep guests happy day after day. It is clearly a hotel with countless returning guests, and that is entirely thanks to the staff who create the experience.

I know there are hundreds of hotels in Egypt, as I have visited Egypt several times, and there is a huge range of different standards, But Jaz Makadi Saraya scores exceptionally high when it comes to service. The staff are incredibly skilled, friendly and genuinely willing to do everything they can to make your stay special.

And a special mention to the security man, Mr. Mahmod, who was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived in the middle of the night. He helped us find an ATM and was always there whenever we needed assistance. You are such a kind and wonderful man.

And a very special greeting to the receptionist, “Mr. Fix It” Mohamed Saied Thank you so much for everything you did to make our stay even more comfortable.

The staff became our friends during our stay, and I truly hope that the management appreciates them and recognizes how valuable they are. ❤️

P.S Make sure to visit Mahmya Island — some of the most beautiful sea and water we have ever seen. An absolutely unforgettable experience. ❤️

Overall the the Resort is really good with everything in it. From food to entertainment everthing was excellent. It is family friendly with excellent pool and beach sides to relax and there is shops nearby so you can buy souvenir easily. Staff are really friendly as well few of the staff went over and beyond.
