Honest opinion Overall brilliant place Positives are: Close from airport, beautiful hotel, service is up there with the best ive travelled to (travelled to turkey, dubai, nyc and carribean so a wide choice to compare with), weather is very hot 40 degrees but very nice, nice food good variety always, great entertainment overall, can share facilities with sister hotel across the road naama waves resort e.g. watch entertainment or use gym, private beach (although its small compared to others ive been to), really nice beach too (about 10 minute walk from hotel through sister one), great location shops, pharmacy, malls nearby(soho square is very nice), beds comfy, it was very clean gave us dubai vibes even roads outside Negatives gym is just a few dumbells really even the sister hotels gym isnt great expected more for 5*, kids club at the time we were there was being renovated so kids couldnt access it But im comparing it to other 5* places ive been to and despite some negatives you cant not give it 5* Room 365
We holidayed here between 22nd July -5th August, travelling as a family of four, two kids aged 11 and 9.
ROOMS – We were upgraded to a family suite (108), on arrival. It was brilliant, two rooms with an interconnecting door, lovely shower and really well presented. On departure day we paid £23 to keep the room until 5pm which was reasonable enough.
DRINKS – Very impressive , we lived off Mojitos and Long Island Ice teas for two weeks. Bar staff were all great and we got great service during the day and night.
POOLS/BEACH – We used all the three pools at one stage or another. The main pool was closed for 3 of our 14 days there and there seemed an issue with the chlorine levels, it irritated our skin initially. We did get to use one of the pools in the sister hotel across the road after speaking to reception which was a nice touch. The wave pool was great, and we all enjoyed the water slides. The water in all of the pools was very warm though. The beach is a walk through the sister hotel, there are two areas. The part next to the White House was lovely and we could use the AI there.
ENTERTAINMENT – We didn’t really get too involved, we are sun worshippers and like to chill but they seemed to keep everyone entertained, difficult as that is in a small hotel.
FOOD – This is the only slight criticism of the hotel and our reason for only giving this stay a four star rating. The food wasn’t as good as in most of other Sharm holidays (we have had plenty) There weren’t many grill options, and the canteen style seemed to suit the Russian guests better. We love middle Eastern food and expected fresh bread, grilled lamb kofte, loads of hummus etc. At lunchtime you can use the Ethno restaurant for more traditional ‘English’ fare which was good and we had three al a carte meals (Italian, Egyptian and Mexican) for a change. On our last day however they let us make up a packed lunch for thed airport which was a great touch.
STAFF/ATMOSPHERE – They are all absolutely fantastic! My two Egyptian ‘sons’ lifeguards WHALID and AHMED were brilliant, friendly and great boys. All of the bar staff, MOHAMMED, MAHMOOD, IBRAHIM, HOSSAM were attentive and not just looking for tips, nothing was too much trouble. In the restaurant, MINA and both AHMED managers provided great service when we needed it, it was best service I have ever had in this country, and I have visited 8 times.
Whilst Russian dominated, there were plenty of Brits scattered around and we made some great holiday pals over our couple of weeks. There were plenty of kids the same age as ours running around so that was handy too! It was a cool atmosphere in safe surroundings.
In summary we all had another great holiday and that was down to the staff as much as anything else, Sharm really is one of the nicest places to be in the summer and we didn’t want to come home, thanks to all at Naama Waves
A really fantastic stay! The staff were so so helpful from Mahmood at the pool bar to all the restaurants staff and animation team - best stay we have had in Egypt. Food varied and tasty - highly recemmend and will be back.
A lovely hotel really friendly staff. Close to town and beach. Could have a couple English options for breakfast. But over all we really enjoyed our stay. Cleanliness good.very good entertainment, something for everyone.
Location was spot on, once we got our bearings. 10 minute walk through the sister hotel to get to Naama Bay strip. Entertainment staff were amazing always walking around making sure everyone was OK. Getting you and the kids involved in the activities especially Dana.
The pool boy was amazing putting our towels out on our preferred beds before we even got out of bed.
The food was so so. What you expect from an all inclusive. Always something everyone would eat. Having lunch in the Mexican is definitely the choice to go with.
Bar staff couldn't do anything more for you. Hossan was unbelievable, amazing with everybody. Never let your cups empty and overall nice guy!!
Would defo come back. Only negative was the majority of the Russians who thought they owned the place!!
