Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel for 2 weeks. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the waiters couldn’t do enough to make sure we were looked after. There was a good variety of food available, with plenty of choice.
The only negative was that the lift in the 5000 block wasn’t working during our stay. This could be difficult for anyone who struggles with stairs, particularly if you’re staying on one of the higher floors.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay with fantastic, attentive staff, and we would happily return.
Special thanks to the following staff who were exceptional: Bassem (bar) Ashraf (restaurant manager) Ayman (chef) Bisoy (bar) Barsoum (reception) Mina (reception)
Just back from a 2 week family holiday, first impressions whenbwe arrived was wow nice hotel reception staff were excellent, upgraded our room to 3128, room was big but was in need of a good refurbishment in the bathroom room walls needed a lick of paint floor tiles were loose and patio door lock needed fixed, apart from that it was comfy to sleep in beds were good and the cleaner was spot on every day, location was not what we exoected thought we might be closer to do things at night but u needed to taxi to other places, food first couple of days was fine then we caught the dreaded 💩 so after that we never really ate the food apart from past and other carbs but ther was a lot of guests the same down with the 💩 so was it the food or was it a bug seened to more on parkside than premiere, but believe you me its not nice thank god the chemist was near by had to vist it 3 times to get medication for it and meds for pains in the stomach aswell, so that ruined our holiday as have you ever tried to run ro the the toilet in flipflops 🤣, we spent all our time at the infinity pool nice and quiet barman and life guard made it were both excellent never an emoty glass and had a gret time there. Entertainment was absolutely rubbish so that was another let down at night, managment all i can say is what a horrible bunch they are especially the one that stands at the door of the restaurant on parkside never smiles just stares at you only time he smiles is when its someones birthday when they do the drum and song, also witnessed his attitude to staff members shouting at them horrible man, on our last day had to pay £95 to keep the room on to 6pm but everything changes once ur band changes colour especially in the main bar where before you walked in sat down and they were up in your face asking what do you want to drink then the color of band changes and they walked past us multiple times and not ones offered a drink had to go to the bar and orser yourself even that dort of upset them, so all in all if you book this place beware of sickness and diarrhoea issues food was crap certain staff only want to be friends with you so they get nice tips and management as a waste of time horrible people would i go back here not in a million years would i go back to egypt maybe but will be staying clear of this place thank god im back home.
Great hotel, amazing staff great animation team thank you
We booked this hotel on the advice of HD Travel, who recommended it as a 5-star hotel based on the reviews. Unfortunately, as a family of five staying in two rooms, we found it to be far from the standard we expected from a 5-star property. Our deluxe room was advertised for three people and had two 3/4-size beds and a sofa bed. The bedroom itself was tidy and reasonably clean, but the bathroom needed a lot of attention. There were chipped tiles, red staining on the shower floor and mould between the grout. The fridge was empty apart from two bottles of water and four pieces of fruit. Despite there being three of us in the room, only two bottles of water were provided each day. We also only had one cup for making drinks and, despite asking for more, never received any extras. We were pleased with our ground-floor room overlooking the pool, but unfortunately the pool itself did not appear particularly clean. There was very little smell of chlorine, unlike other pools we have used. The jacuzzi area had three sections, but one wasn't working and some of the jets in another were broken. The water slides appeared to be closed every time we looked, so our children never got to use them. The children's pool also looked as though it needed a thorough clean, with visible scum around the sides. Getting to the beach was also inconvenient. You had to book the shuttle bus the day before, and the journey took around 20 minutes. There were two beach options: a sandy beach, where there weren't many fish, and Coral Beach, which was definitely the highlight of our holiday and the better choice for us. The food was served from metal containers in the dining room, with chefs also cooking outside. On several occasions, lids were left open on the food. Unfortunately, all five of us became ill during the holiday, suffering from severe diarrhoea. We had to visit a local pharmacy and were given Antinal. Even a week after returning home, we were still feeling unwell. Obviously, we cannot say for certain what caused the illness, but given that all five of us became ill, we felt it was important to mention our experience and the hygiene concerns we noticed. Entertainment was fairly limited, mainly consisting of karaoke and the occasional pool party. Drinks and beer were generally served in small plastic cups, with glasses only available when drinking in the bar area. The hotel shop was also expensive, with prices seemingly varying. We were initially asked for £9 for three bags of crisps, but found the local Mango shop, just a short walk from the hotel on the right-hand side, much cheaper. We also visited the nearby McDonald's, but found the toilets there extremely dirty, so we would advise being particularly careful about where you choose to eat. Towels were another issue. They seemed to be collected very quickly after use, meaning we often had to ask for replacements. We were repeatedly given two towels when there were three people in our room. There is also a towel-card system, so make sure you take photographs of your towels when leaving them on sun loungers. Our towels were taken by someone else, but thankfully we had photographic evidence and CCTV confirmed what had happened, meaning we were not charged. We also paid for a massage at the hotel, which was good. However, the jacuzzi was cold and had a musty smell, as though it needed cleaning. We also felt rushed and didn't get much time in the sauna or steam room, and again had to ask for water. Checkout was another inconvenience. Our transfer wasn't until 7pm, but we had to leave our room by 12pm. To keep the room until 4pm, we were told it would cost £25 per person, which we chose not to pay. If you need to shower after checking out, there are facilities in the spa, but there are only two showers and the shower doors in the toilet/changing area are glass and offer very little privacy. We also had to ask for towels. There were some positives. The ground-floor location by the pool was convenient, Coral Beach was fantastic and some of the staff clearly work very hard and do their best to make guests' holidays enjoyable. However, overall, we were extremely disappointed. The hotel needs significant TLC and improvements before I would consider it anywhere near a 5-star standard. Between the cleanliness issues, broken facilities, limited entertainment, food concerns, towel problems and the fact that our entire family became ill, we were very relieved that we had only booked for one week. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel and certainly would not consider it value for money as a supposed 5-star resort.
Please do not believe the 5 star reviews . The entertainment team come round asking you to do them and if you don’t they ask if they can do them from your phone . You will know the ones the write as they always put ‘ animation team very nice ‘ . The animation team do very little at this hotel . They are great at gathering people up to take photos but then everyone leaves as nothing happens. We went to play darts to be told just throw them . Then told the girl who was meant to be running the activity doesn’t know how to play !! Seriously!! Everyone just left ! The food is bad and we were ill for many days . We went to the pharmacy and he said he had sold over 200 packets of antinal that day ! The hotel is badly run . Hand gell dispensers are empty . No soap or toilet rolls in pool toilet . I asked several times one day but it made no difference. No wonder people are dropping like flies . If you complain to manager expect to be screamed at . He is a vile aggressive man .
