Aurora Oriental Resort

We have just returned from a family holiday with kids and relatives. We stayed at the aurora oriental resort, upon arriving the hotel reception looked really lovely the staff were also great and guided us to our room. To me and my family the hotel esp rooms standard mean a lot as I personally like to take afternoon naps and if the standard isn’t there I feel like my holiday is ruined. Walking through the corridor the walls looked yellowed with age and the floors had slight broken tiles, this started making me feel nervous. The room itself was spacious and led out to the pool, that’s all I can say as a positive. the tiles were broken or had black marks the bathroom was awful with mould, yellowed/ brown shower curtains, broken tiling, broken tiles around shower and bathtub, they clearly used sealant and grout to cover the damage but that was falling off, black broken parts on the mirror this just made my heart sink. The door handle that led to the patio/pool was clearly broken and the latch was stuffed with a paper in order to allow the door to lock or anyone would get in. The fridge froze anything and everything clearly had something wrong with it, we had to make sure we took water out and leave it on patio in order to melt the ice so we could have water. The bed post had black mould growing the frame and mould was around the corners of the room. There was only one lift that allowed Max 4 people which was the only accessible lift in the hotel which l was located only on one side of the building the other side had no lift so good luck getting down the stairs if your wheel chair bound or had prams. The only two accessible way to get to the restaurant was via the lift which stairs that took you outside that had the only ramp, the other was was taking two flights of stairs from the reception area, this hotel is NOT wheelchair pram friendly in certain parts. They would also lock the only pram/wheelchair accessible door to the restaurant when it was full and still had time before the service was to end meaning you can starve, however they would see and sometimes unlock the door. My relative who had a 8 month old baby and a bad back was put in a room in the far side of the hotel that had no lift therefore he and his wife were having to carry baby and pram up and down the stairs, there room was soo awful the doors falling off, the state of the room was appalling and disgusting they had to complain to the hotel and easy jet in order for them to be moved the next day.

All in all the hotel rooms were crap the staff were lovely, dinner was nice and they had a different menu each day but it needs a hell of a lot of renovating and cleaning. My advice book somewhere else.

When we arrived the repetition look nice but was deposited when going down the corridor it was dark and the tiles on the floor was broken and filled in roughly and when got in the room it was dated the bathroom tiles was different around the bath messy sealing and the bed mattress was not comfortable you rolled to the middle around the pool it need tiles replacing that's was broken and been filled in with grout there not enough umbrella for the amount of sunbeds so I would say this is not a 5 star the food was good but the same each week. Entertainment was only an hour show then you had to go inside to one of the bars and there was nothing on . The staff was amazing friendly always working hard and always smiling 😃. The beach ⛱️ is a 10 walk from the hotel though the gardens. The lifeguards were good with the kids having a laugh with water guns we did have a good time

We’ve just returned from a fantastic holiday at Aurora Oriental Resort, and we honestly couldn’t fault the experience.

From the moment we arrived, the staff especially Kahled the restaurant manager Mahmoud one of the chef at the pasta station that always made my little boy feel special and always making him feel welcomed everyday - and Ahmed Saaded for always give us a table when needed and waited on us all the time they were so friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and a handshake, which made us feel genuinely valued and looked after throughout our stay.

The staff in the restaurant were second to none. They went above and beyond to make sure we always had a table, our drinks were topped up and that everything we needed was taken care of. The level of service was exceptional, and their attention to detail really made our holiday special.

Every member of staff we came across was polite, friendly and willing to help. It’s clear that they take great pride in looking after their guests, and that really shows.

A huge thank you to the entire team at Aurora Oriental Resort for making our holiday so enjoyable and memorable. We would definitely return and highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with fantastic service and genuinely lovely staff. ❤️🌴☀️
