I stayed at the Bamburi for 3 nights with a friend and first impressions were great. Lovely welcome on arrival.
Things that were great in my opinion
Room was pleasant with sea views, twin beds, tea coffee, hairdryer, dressing gown etc.
lovely pool overlooking the Indian Ocean Sunbeds and towels provided lovely staff working around the hotel good entertainment
Things that weren't so great in my opinion
food in the main restaurant was lukewarm and sometimes cold. We did speak up about this but it did not improve unfortunately. The Al La Carte option was better as cooked to order so hotter.
I was also disappointed that there were no spa facilities. I did think that as a 5* hotel these would be available at an extra cost. I appreciate this isn't a priority for everyone but for me, if i was booking direct, I would not book again as would want spa facilities,
The communal areas were spotless but the shower in our room needed a good scrub around the base.
All in all, a lovely environment but I would not choose again for reasons above

I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel. The location is beautiful, with amazing views of the ocean, and the hotel is clean, modern and very relaxing. The rooms were comfortable, the food was excellent, The staff were also very friendly, welcoming and professional throughout my stay. Their excellent customer service really made the experience special. The security guard the gate are doing a good job and very comparative .
Bamburi North Coast vacation
The Hotel easily accessible from Mombasa-malindi highway very well located.. The atmosphere is perfect, cool 😎 natural fresh air & breeze from the ocean no AC required very nice environment open from the reception directly to the sea... Our room was awesome home away from home with the view of the sea, and pool very good, room amenities all excellent n quality...cleanness top to the notch 👍 our room attendant very thorough...we had all the comfort to extend our stay... Worth the price ...the value of the money is absolutely 💯 % Calm and peaceful environment as night no noise levels after 10pm very peaceful just.the water sounds from the ocean very therapeutic..
The staff fromseniors to juniors very warm hospitality, n kind always smiling 😃 and ready to serve u...as is in there uniform written "Happy to serve" not a slogan it applies across the department ...F&B, reception, kitchen team, housekeeping, entertainment team, pool attendant, all amazing...not forgetting to say the food was always fabulous, from breakfast to dinner all through I kept looking to for a meal...tasty n fresh...to Bw. Alphonsus, kudos 👏 keep it up Thanks for recognising our anniversary in style, without even mentioning to you we got a surprise, from the room decorations, busket of fruits, and more the the F&B team...cake presentation with a awesome dance💃 🕺 ...we were indeed touched, spoilt, and special with your warmth n hospitality...the new look for the hotel is amazing 👏 2nd to none...no comparison to any other...your are special the ambiance makes a statement 😀 we love it... We recommend to anyone looking for a value of money n expectional experience to come to Bamburi Beach ⛱ beautiful facility with effective and efficient service delivery..
