Sarova whitesands is the best! The hospitality is way above expectations. They have very friendly staff starting with Robert at the Kids club, Faith and Lavender at the dining and Rocky, Frank and Gift. The rooms are excellent with excellent room service. We also met Agatha, who wanted to know how our experience was, many thanks. I'm definitely coming back and also looking forward to explore other Sarova properties like the Mara.
We had heard so many wonderful things about Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and were very excited for our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the grounds are exceptionally well-maintained and immaculate. Unfortunately, the overall experience left something to be desired.
The check-in process was exhausting. It took more than 40 minutes to receive our room keys and approximately an hour from the beginning of check-in before we could access our rooms. We were given a sea-view room, which was lovely, but the room itself was fairly small and difficult for a family of four to navigate comfortably.
The buffet offered an impressive variety of food and was one of the largest we encountered during our time in Kenya. However, for a four-star resort, we felt the restaurant staff could have been more attentive and personable with each table.
During our stay, our daughter was badly stung by a jellyfish only a few feet into the water at the beach in front of the resort. Staff quickly directed us to First Aid, and a doctor was called, allowing her to receive treatment fairly quickly, which we appreciated. However, staff could benefit from additional training on how to respond to jellyfish stings and other beach-related injuries. We also strongly encourage management to post warning signs when jellyfish are present so that other guests, particularly families with children, can take appropriate precautions.
The pool service was convenient, with towel stations located at each pool. However, the attendants were very particular about towels remaining within the pool area where they were collected and appeared frustrated if guests moved between pools with them.
The afternoon tea was also poorly organized. There were too many guests for the number of available tables, and there were not enough snacks to accommodate everyone.
Overall, our stay was okay, but it did not quite live up to our expectations. With better organization, more attentive service, and clearer beach safety measures, Sarova Whitesands could offer a much more enjoyable guest experience.
I and my family had a wonderful and enjoyable stay at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the porter was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. Our room was clean, comfortable, and pleasant.
The animation team also made our holiday special. Mary was particularly helpful, always checking in on us and my family, informing us about upcoming activities, and making sure we were enjoying our stay. Brian was equally enthusiastic, encouraging us to participate and making every activity fun and entertaining. We enjoyed activities such as salsa and water polo, among many others.
The food was also excellent, with a great variety available in the dining hall, and the waiters were friendly and attentive. Overall, I and my family had a brilliant, fun, and memorable holiday, and we were very happy with your stay.
It was exciting. Mostly on the part of playing pool with Bidala and Stanley. It was a good experience they are friendly and sweet.
Everything is excellent and Mr. Maina (waiter) is well aware of his responsibilities and a good person.
