REVIEW: We stayed here for 10 nights from 13th-23rd September and here's our honest review. (Other people's opinions and experiences may differ but this is just our thoughts/experience) Arrival - We arrived at the hotel at 10.30am and unfortunately you can't check into your room until 3pm. They get you to complete paperwork (this was the most info I've ever been asked for at a hotel lol. Included job, place of birth etc etc). At this point they also took 2 payments. 1 was room tax and the other was the deposit. Then they give you wristbands and you can go off into the resort and use the facilities. Your luggage stays in reception. TIP: If you are arriving early pack swimwear/some summer clothes in your hand luggage so you can change. ROOM: We had a swim up suite located in Ourika (3004). When we finally got into our room the room was lovely and spacious with a big double bed. In the room we had iron and ironing board, hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. A nespresso coffee machine with 2 free pods (you pay for more if you want). There's also shampoo, body wash, shaving kit, sponge, body lotion, comb, slippers, shower cap. We had a welcome note on the bed with 2 complimentary straw sunhats. We did not have bathrobes but I'd seen others did, but none of our neighbours did either. The cleaner actually knocked on door on our last day and gave us the elusive bathrobes then (we didn't ask) but that seemed a little inconsistency. Our neighbours didn't get slippers and some didn't get hats. Lol The pool is less of a swim up and more of a paddle up. But we did utilise it lots and we did like the various ledges in the pool to sit/sunbathe. Room was very clean but every afternoon around 3pm onwards you would get drain smells. Happened every day at same time which is probably why cleaners would leave patio doors open. (We locked them and would find them open when cleaners had been). You only get water in your fridge which is replenished daily. Any drinks - alcohol or soft drinks are chargeable for your fridge. Bit disappointed as these have been included everywhere else we've stayed. 8/10 The staff are very friendly and will try to assist in any way they can. The cleaners work hard and the unsung heroes are the gardening team who every day in scorching heat were busy keeping the grounds immaculate. The bar staff - some are better than others. Drinks will differ depending on who serves you and which bar. The same drink can be completely different lol. We did tip yet did note that evening service is slow and one barman would just select certain couples and groups and be back and forth taking drinks to their tables whilst bypassing others. This is another inconsistency. I think either full table service should be offered or everyone gets their own (just my opinion 😆). The poor glass collectors never stop so we gave them a tip and they were made up. Same drinks will also be served in whatever glass/plastic cup that's to hand too. The main 2 pools are an entertainment pool and the quiet pool with the swim up bar. The pools are very nice, lots of sunbeds and staff will move beds for you and get parasols. I will note that though there were always beds available whilst we were there, we noted a lot of sunbed reserving first thing in a morning. On our way to breakfast by 8am about 50% of beds around the quiet pool had been claimed with towels/belongings. The entertainment was good in an evening but there's a real struggle to find seats to watch it. These are filled swiftly as people leave dinner and if you're a bit later dining it's a battle to find a seat. Food: The buffet is smaller than others we've stayed at but offers a good range of choices. Things are not always very warm and seating can again be an issue depending on times. Tables are not always cleared and relaid very quickly. As a vegetarian one thing I will highlight for any other veggies is the labelling of stuff is not great. The signs get moved lots and we saw amusing things like broccoli labelled as potatoes etc but nothing is marked "V". Various pastas labelled as "tomato pasta" but clearly had other things in left me scrutinising each thing. One of the chefs got to know me so would point out what was vegetarian. But be prepared to ask. The pizzas too - usually there's 3 or 4 with 1 or 2 vegetarian. There's only one set of serving tongues for these and as someone before me had picked up their oily meaty pizza with the tongues I did ask for a clean of them and to be fair they did wash them but it would be better to have different ones for each pizza 🍕 My hubby who eats meat scores the food 7/10 and me as a veggie gives it a 5/10. We had two uses of the A la carte restaurant yet we only went once as we found it a bit disappointing. Hubby had lamb shank but it wasn't on the bone just a few pieces of lamb. As we spoke to others we found some had full shank and others had few pieces of lamb. Just another inconsistency. I know others really enjoyed this restaurant but it's all personal preference :) I would tell everyone to try it and judge for themselves. This hotel is definitely more 4* than 5* but with a push and ironing out inconsistencies could easily become 5* Overall we had a fantastic holiday and the big question "Would we come again?" - Absolutely we would definitely return and I'd recommend it. Amazing!! Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome and bags collected and taken into the hotel. Lovely touch after the flight. Hotel staff kind, friendly and so happy. Often heard singing and smiling always.

Room was lovely, has the swim up room. Few cockroaches came up from drain in shower but covered with a glass this seemed to help. Cleaners were amazing. When notes left asking for things they always left what was needed plus extra very generous. Going above and beyond. So great full!

Food was great! Plenty of choice, there were themed nights sushi, fajitas, chicken spit roast. The jacket potato in foil with cheese were lush as were the pizza, pasta.
Salad bar every day, morning, noon and night. Soup to name few the breakfast was lovely and the omelette were so tasty as were the puddings. Staff were very busy when hotel got busier staff struggled a bit to keep up with table turnaround and offering drinks.

Entertainment was lovely. Selection of different night entertainment. Garden was lovely and lit up.

Gym was good easy to use equipment. Quite busy in the mornings though.

Larry the lobby cat often found sleeping on the chair in lobby. Chasing crickets around.

Hotel very clean. Staff constantly going round cleaning.

This hotel was peaceful especially in pool bar area.

Free shuttle bus to souks this was great! Plenty to go and see around.

Would definitely recommend going to Ouzoud waterfall. Lots of walking though so probably not suitable If you have mobility or health issues. But breathtaking experience. We went to a local shopping centre and had lunch in a lovely Italian restaurant, then went to supermarket.

We would definitely recommend this hotel great location, great Hotel. If we return in the future we will definitely be back to Be Live Collection without a doubt.

We really enjoyed our holiday as Marrakech is fascinating with lots of good restaurants, but it was nice to be able to return to a resort outside such a busy and polluted city. This resort has an excellent shuttle bus, staff, rooms & gardens plus 2 attractively designed unheated pools with sufficient sunbeds (one with lively music and one quiet/relaxing).

The resort is relatively long and thin so ensure you book a room in the end that suits you ie either the end with loud music (view of pool) or quiet end.

The resort served: 3* quality food, cocktails with local alcohols, house wine, no sparkling wine. The one evening in the restaurant included had: a set menu with 5 bland choices per course & an expensive wine list. Recommended restaurants: Le Bistro Arable & Le Pergola.
