- Be live Experience Marrakech Palmeraie

This is an elegant 4 star hotel with a family-friendly atmosphere, providing our guests a pleasant and exotic stay in the heart of the Palmeraie of Marrakech. Just 6 km far from the historic center of Marrakech, our hotel leaves no one indifferent. The 167 modern and comfortable rooms are divided into single, double rooms, duplex and suites with views on the pool, on the Atlas Mountain or on the Palmeraie. The Hotel offers a large choice of food and beverages services with one international buffet restaurant, an Andalusian a la carte restaurant, a snack grill next to the pool and a luxury lobby bar. The hotel provides a large range of facilities on site , including 1 swimming pool, 1 kid´s splash pool, Miniclub, fitness center, conference and indoor entertainment room, open air theater, shops, parking and an educational farm for kids.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Stayed as a family of 4 (children 12 and 15) Location - closest amenities are 20mins away, luckily you can use uber here which makes getting around easy.
Accommodation - on arrival, hotel looks nice, smells nice and reception are welcoming. Duplex rooms are nice and big. However, housekeeping is not good, it’s hit and miss if your room gets cleaned. Towels are removed and often not replenished along with toilet roll. This resulted in us frustrating having to contact reception to request.
Pool area - pool is not very clean, water is very murky, the whole we have not seen anyone cleaning the pool. Be prepared to go down at 6am to reserve sunbeds.
Food - food is the same every day. No themed evenings or freshly cooked food such as fish/meat etc
Some guests have complained about the hotel rating, but it’s important to remember that star ratings are set by the travel operator and the country. A four‑star rating abroad is not comparable to a four‑star rating in London, and the price reflects that. Expectations need to be realistic.
We were aware of the deposit in advance and received it back before leaving, so no issues there. The tourist tax is a legal requirement, so I don’t think the hotel can be criticised for that. The location isn’t great, as there’s nothing around the hotel, but that’s an observation rather than a fault. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it, though two weeks would have been too long for us given how remote the hotel is.
Staff:
From start to finish, the staff were excellent. The dining room team were great, and the bartenders—both at the pool bar and indoors—were outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Reception staff were knowledgeable, and the animation team are a real credit to the hotel: welcoming, energetic, and offering plenty of activities throughout the day. Everything is clearly signposted. I even tried archery for the first time and discovered I’m apparently a great shot.
Rooms:
The rooms were very good—some of the nicest we’ve had in an all‑inclusive. We had two floors and two bathrooms, which is ideal for families. The window looking into the bathroom is an odd design choice; no one needs to watch their family shower or use the toilet. We did have issues with towels not being replaced—cleaners took them but didn’t replace them on at least three occasions. This is an easy area for improvement.
Facilities / Pools:
There were plenty of sun loungers and we never struggled to find any. The hotel would benefit from adding another pool. The main pool looks large in photos but is actually quite small for the number of guests. Expanding this would improve the experience. We enjoyed the DJ by the pool one afternoon.
Cleanliness:
Overall cleanliness was very good. However, by 7am the previous night’s glasses should have been cleared away—this is standard in most hotels. There is also a noticeable wasp issue around the bins, which could be addressed.
Food:
There was always something to choose from. Breakfast becomes repetitive, as with most all‑inclusive resorts, but overall the food was of a good standard. The BBQ was only available one day; it would be great to see it used more often—especially for lamb chops. The only disappointing experience was the Moroccan/Spanish restaurant, where you get a set meal once during your stay. The steak was cooked well but the sauce made it inedible for both of us, and the entrée was dry. Staff were pleasant, but the meal itself wasn’t great. We didn’t complain, which is probably on us.
Drinks:
By far the best drinks we’ve had at an all‑inclusive. Great cocktails, draught beer, and mojitos in the pool.
Entertainment / Kids Club:
Our eight‑year‑old felt he was too old for the kids club, but the activities looked good—pottery seemed fun. We didn’t attend much evening entertainment, but the Latin show was excellent. The Moroccan night was underwhelming.
Location:
The hotel can’t change this, but it is very remote. No nearby shops except a service station across the road. The hotel shop is extremely expensive. For us, this was a downside as we like to go for a daily walk, and that isn’t really possible here. Something to consider when booking.
Bus:
The free bus into the city is great—always on time. It won’t wait for late guests, nor should it. Take a photo of the pick‑up point as the markets can be disorientating. Hotel Ali in town offers the best exchange rates, much better than Be Live—just an observation, not a criticism.
We had a wonderful experience at the à la carte restaurant. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The cocktail selection was also fantastic, with plenty of great choices.
A special mention to Zina, the restaurant manager in the evening. Her organization is truly outstanding, and she makes sure everything runs smoothly. She is always welcoming, kind, and has such a wonderful smile that makes guests feel very comfortable and appreciated.
The dining areas are clean and well maintained, and the air conditioning makes the atmosphere very pleasant.
Overall, an excellent restaurants in the evninh and in the morning if zina works in the morning ,with great food, excellent service, and a wonderful team. Highly recommended!
The staff at Belive Experience have been outstanding especially Abdus Samad and Mohammed at the Reception. They were always there when needed, very helpful. Excellent resort.
The kids loved it.
Absolutely loved this holiday. Staff are amazing and extremely helpful. Cocktails at the main bar were so good and the lads there are great. The food at the snack bar always hot and fresh, great staff. They all work so hard. The entertainment team are fab, different shows on every night. Favourite has to be the pool party followed by a fire show. The main restaurant has a variety of different foods, always something nice to eat. The staff in there are fab, they are always so busy. They made my daughter’s birthday very special. Thanks again. The à la carte restaurant was lovely and the steak cooked to perfection. Yum! Hotel is lovely and always clean. Room was a duplex and cleaned and new towels daily. Housekeeping great. Thank you all for making our family holiday as good and easy as it was. Will see you again!
