Family of Ten, 5 adults 5 children aged 15-8 We had a great time! The Bay Gardens Beach resort is where to stay, we has king beach front, one bedroom pool view and garden view. Let me tell you the only one of use not happy with the room was staying in the garden view room construction was still going on late into the early morning for son finishing touches. Remember you get what you pay for and with a little extra take the beach front king, one bedroom, or double queen rooms you will not be disappointed! Water park for our kids was worth all the money!!! Were there any problems well remember there were 10 of having most our meal together, management step way up to make sure we were taken care to the point that made us feel like family! The food was amazing for an all inclusive yes some choices were different but all served in a 5 star presentation. Kids all loved the pizza and l will admit that Paulo from Italy makes some of the best pizza I have eaten yes even in Italy. Bartenders, wait staff, supervisors and food managers go out of their way to make sure my family was always taken care of which have 5 younger ones l not was challenging but always done with a smile. From the front desk, coffee shop, bar, restaurants, water sports everyone was a 10 plus. I want to give a special thanks to everyone at Bay Gardens Beach Resort!
Overpriced and run down. Beach is nice but suites are not well maintained. Pool seemed dirty/contaminated. Staff were not very friendly.
Good location (except it’s 1 and a half hour away from UVF AirPort but the driver is engaging and explained the view along the way). The room was well kept and the kitchenette was equipped with everything we needed. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant for relaxing. Good value for the room of our choice. Note our flight in was delayed over 3 hours and I was quiet surprised to see our driver warmly waiting for my family.
This is our second year vacationing at this property and we plan on returning. Great central location on the beach, near shops and nightlife. Tasty local food options as well as pizza, wings, etc. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help.
My daughter surprised me with this trip to celebrate two very special milestones: being five years cancer-free and experiencing my first St. Lucia Carnival. This was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, making our experience at Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa even more disappointing.
From the beginning, we were misquoted by nearly $2,000, and for the approximately $4,200 we ultimately paid, we expected accommodations and service that reflected the price.
Instead, we were given a room that was in poor condition. The blankets had rips, the bed sheets had what appeared to be blood stains, the bathroom floor was dirty enough that I cleaned it myself, and the bathroom door was broken. The toilet ran continuously for nearly 24 hours. To make matters worse, the room phone did not work the first night, so we couldn't call the front desk to report the problem. After finally notifying staff, it still took two requests before maintenance came to fix the toilet.
I also felt that because we booked through a third-party travel site, we may have been assigned one of the least desirable rooms. I can't say for certain, but that was how it felt based on our experience.
Customer service was inconsistent. While a few employees were friendly and helpful, several others were rude and dismissive. When I requested a room change because of the condition of our room, I was told it would cost more money. After paying $4,200, I found that response unacceptable. Guests should not have to pay extra for a clean, safe, and functional room.
St. Lucia is absolutely beautiful, and Carnival was unforgettable. Unfortunately, the resort did not match the quality of the destination. I hope Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa improves its housekeeping, room maintenance, and customer service because guests paying premium prices deserve a much better experience.
