We had an unforgettable stay at Soco House. A truly flawless experience the design was elegant and clean. The rooms are spacious and quiet and the location is ideal close to the beach and the town. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Vladimir is a fantastic boss ensuring we had a lovely stay, as my husband had a sport injury and found it hard using the stairs as our room was on the top floor as soon as we told Vladimir he moved us to the bottom floor with out hesitation. 5* approach towards his customers. Eloise alway checking in with everyone with her bubbly personality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was 5* being freshly cooked with table service with plenty of choice. Breakfast was my favourite having traditional St Lucian breakfast. Staff in the dining room could not do enough for you. Every single detail of this hotel is with care. We cannot wait to return!
We stayed at SoCo House in July as a group of four and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. A special thank you to Eloise, Tara, Fidel and Shan who were all fantastic throughout our stay and really helped make our time at SoCo House so enjoyable.
We’d also like to give a special mention to the General Manager who genuinely went above and beyond to make sure the four of us had the best possible stay. It was clear that guest experience was really important.
The location was fantastic and made it easy to enjoy everything the area and St Lucia has to offer. We also loved the atmosphere at SoCo House — relaxed, welcoming and with a great vibe that made it very easy to feel at home.
The cleanliness was also excellent. Everything was well maintained and looked after which added to the overall quality of our stay.
We would absolutely love to return next summer and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SoCo House to friends and family. Thank you for an amazing stay — we’ll hopefully see you again very soon!
We visited St Lucia and stayed at The Soco House at the beginning of August for our honeymoon. I will admit that after booking I was slightly concerned that I wouldn’t be happy not being right on the beach and only having 1 restaurant to go to. My concerns proved to be unnecessary.
Our checkin was smooth and the front desk staff were helpful and efficient. They greeted us with a glass of bubbly and we were off to our room in no time. We had arrived during the dinner service so that was our first stop.
The restaurant is service, not buffet style and the lunch and dinner menu changed every second day, while the breakfast remained the same. We found the food to be very tasty with a good variety. They had no trouble modifying some items and even combining multiple items into your meal. The service was almost always spot on with a hiccup or two along the way. Breakfast was the only meal that we found to be slow for service, so be prepared if you’re planning an excursion or want to rush to the beach. They did suggest preordering the night before if you have an excursion booked.
The beach is about a 5 minute walk, it’s easy and no trouble whatsoever. You can get a small cooler with up to 6 bottles of your choice in it. There are some that are the insulated style and those definitely did a better job of keeping drinks cold than the non insulated type.
On the beach they have an arrangement with a beach vendor to provide loungers and an umbrella We never had an issue getting a spot and tipped accordingly, usually a couple of dollars. Note that they don’t start that set up till about 10am so if you go earlier be prepared to sit on the sand, although another lovely vendor named Cecilia allowed us to use her umbrella free of charge, until ours became available on the one day we were earlier than expected.
The ocean temp and colour is delightful and was completely seaweed free during our stay! A big reason for us choosing this location! The beach is long enough to wander and feels safe. There are a few vendors who will come up to you offering bead necklaces or nicknaks. We found a polite no than you sufficed but it happened every day. We noticed that as the day went on the beach became much busier and in the weekend it was noticeable how many locals were there. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and polite but we tended to head back to the pool for most of the afternoon.
The pool was also a good temperature providing enough relief to the heat of the sun, but note that there is no shade over the pool so be prepared. The pool could use a little TLC but it still functioned as expected.
Given it was their low season at no time did we have any difficulty getting a covered lounger/ cabana. The bar service was good, with some servers offering more friendly service than others but no one was rude by any means. The drinks were good and if you liked a specific drink they often remembered and even offered the suggestion prior to your asking.
The room was not huge but it was plenty big enough for us with the balcony mistakes used to hang wet clothes. The washroom was the one place that a few updates could benefit them. The shower doesn’t have a door so if the washroom door is open it’s freezing in there. LOL. The water didn’t drain fully in the shower area but it didn’t come beyond the shower itself so not a big deal.
The staff were all lovely. Vlad, the GM, went above and beyond when he found out we were there on our honeymoon. We had a bottle of bubbly provided and the restaurant staff made every effort to make our trip special. They even played our first dance song in the restaurant so we could have a dance there, with one of the servers recording it for us. There were too many faces that we saw repeatedly over the week for me to mention them all but there was one lovely young server, who I wish I could recall her name, but she was kind and sweet and made our first few days there extra nice. Eloise has the absolute best memory of anyone I know and will greet you with a smile and welcome as though you were her best friend.
We encountered many lovely people while there, some from Canada, the UK and the States. Everyone was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting them all.
The resort is not for the party crowd. It’s quiet with the bars closing at 11, which frankly suited us just fine because we are not ones to stay up late.
Note: we went to the Friday night jump up and it was an experience! It’s fun to wander the street and taste some Local foods. We took a water taxi over, which was quick and came back by a prearranged time. It gets crazy busy there by about 10pm so if you like a party till the wee hours, that’s the place to go.
It’s about an hour and a half drive from the airport.
Overall we had a very good time there and would recommend The Soco House.
Eloise the best🫶🏽🫶🏽 A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!🧡🧡🧡✌🏾
My friends and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived, which made us feel very comfortable. The hotel is clean, and there are several activities available for guests to enjoy during their stay.
A couple of small improvements could be made. It would be great to have a cocktail menu at the bar showing the drinks available. Also, there is no staff at the reception after around 10:30 PM, which can be inconvenient if guests need assistance.
Overall, my friends and I had a very good experience and really appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
Thank you to the entire team for a 2nd wonderful stay. Thank you, Elkcar, Eloise, Cleopha, Gavin, Yonell, Lana, Cindy and everyone for great service. Having worked in hotels myself - I appreciate it all.
