Mediterranean Beach Hotel

Limassol

You'll enjoy a different pace of life at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel in Limassol. This is the place to come if you want to relax and enjoy some uniquely Mediterranean hospitality.

Set in beautifully landscaped grounds, the Mediterranean Beach Hotel is a real part of the landscape. Everywhere you turn, there's nature at its Mediterranean finest: gorgeous sands, luscious flora and birds wheeling in a blue sky. So get ready to relax, pack your bags and come and experience a truly relaxing holiday...

The Mediterranean Beach Hotel is a beautiful holiday home:

One of the most wonderful things about the Mediterranean Beach Hotel is its design; it's perfectly in accord with its environment. Natural wood gives it a wonderfully organic look, while marble adds lustre, and blue and white shades dominate. It all adds to the experience of staying here; it really feels like a part of this beautiful landscape.

And it really is beautiful... The hotel occupies one of Limassol's' most perfect sandy beaches. There's something so wonderful about knowing that, any time you choose, you can go to the beach, and you'll be there in a couple of minutes. So if you suddenly decide you want a moonlit stroll along the water's edge, you can. And you can pick up some treasured holiday memories along the way.

So it's all here waiting for you: the sun, the sea and the sand. You've got every opportunity to relax and take things easy. Not that that should discount some serious pool time, of course! The Mediterranean Beach Hotel's multi-level pool is one of the regions finest. There's a beautiful indoor pool too, as well as a health spa – more opportunities for you to relax!

Talking of taking it easy... The Mediterranean Beach Hotel's deluxe / twin rooms are wonderfully relaxing. Again, there's that dedication to achieving the right look. So you'll enjoy soft furnishings and liberal use of warm, earthy colours. All rooms are en suite and air conditioned and have a balcony or terrace.

Additional features include satellite TV, radio, direct dial telephone, minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, safe deposit box and hairdryer.

You'll find another great example of how the Mediterranean Beach Hotel captures that authentic 'Med' feeling in the restaurants. There are six to choose from, and the authentic Ouzeri restaurant is particularly recommended for a real taste of the region. There's some exceptional fresh fish on the menu too.

It's easy to get into that more laid-back lifestyle at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel - their template for a truly relaxing holiday really works. The setting, the food, the ambience, everything - this is what Mediterranean holidays should be like.

Mixed thoughts

A mixed bag. The location is great in respect of Limassol. The staff are wonderful and really friendly. The grounds are lovely with two pools, pool bar and immediate access to grass area and the beach and the rooms are spot on, spacious and clean.

However, there are some small issues that I found to just be really quite irritating. The buffets are brilliant but there isn’t much choice for kids if they are picky eaters. Pasta is covered in sauce with no option to add yourself, no fries or potato that isn’t covered in anything etc. I wish I had an easy eater but sadly I don’t and historically I’ve found resorts to be great for this but here it’s different. As an adult though, the food is spot on.

There is a great big sign by the pool that says sun-beds cannot be reserved and any towels left over an hour will be removed. Fantastic! Only downside is when it comes to asking for this to be implemented, the pool boys response is “there’s over 170 beds and I’m not taking all the towels off.” You explain that’s not quite what you mean and his attitude is “I know there’s a sign but I’m not doing it” and you just leave wondering why they went to the bother and expense of erecting a sign to say otherwise. I found that in order to get a bed, you have to get up at about 7-8am to collect a towel and to reserve one. A lot of people just go back to bed and then have lunch and reappear and you end up having to play the game in order to secure one round the pool. It then renders the whole “relaxing on holiday/having a lie in” completely redundant.

My final complaint is that house keeping, while very industrious and having to do hundreds of rooms, try to enter your room at about 8am which again is really frustrating when you want a lie in. I completely get that they need to get everything done but unless I’ve got a sign on the door that says come in, it’s safe to assume at that time….maybe don’t.

Good

Stayed at this hotel for a week. For context, we used to live in Cyprus so only spent a couple of days really relaxing the hotel. We might have chosen the wrong days because it was very very busy the Saturday and Sunday. Pool bar was run off its feet. Asked 3 people for a pizza that never arrived (didn’t pay and didn’t chase in the end). Slow service these days. We used to go to hotels when we lived in Cyprus for day passes so don’t know if that happens at the weekend and that’s why it was so busy. In the week, it was much calmer. The grass area for sun beds is the most calm and relaxing place. However, for some reason there is booming music from the beach (jet ski hire place) on the Sunday. So so loud but obviously this is not the hotels fault. Lovely room. Clean. Housekeeping are great. Breakfast is chaos at the wrong time. So I recommend getting there early for a calm experience. There are too many people at the hotel for that small of an area for a Buffet. Front desk are all lovely, could leave out bags as we had a late flight and use the facilities all day. Asked for a curtesy room, no chance. Told to use the spa facilities. Again, not much room. Overall, we had a good time at this hotel. Would not return because it’s just not as chill as I normally to for. But no glaring problems.

Pool area dreadful

This hotel lets itself down! It had everything you would want , good restaurants, bars, location, beach front good food , clean rooms. However the pool area is a disaster! Lack of bed allocation leads to normal early morning towel laying. This leads to a real underlying mood of anger, resentment and in a number of incidents so far, out right aggression. With arguments and shoving in a family hotel. What’s wors, is people are allowed to drink, eat and smoke in the pool!! With no apparent consequence. This is really off putting combine this with guests can bring their own food and drink in, so McDonalds delivers and bottles of vodka completely down grades all the hard work the rest of the hotel has put in. Conclusion the area most guests want to spend their time, is the one place that is completely unmanaged. If someone was to take the time to manage this area it would complete all the hard work the rest of the team are putting in. I wouldn’t class the pool area 2 star never mind 4 star. Get a manager who has some courage and a team that will back them and sort it out. As it stands I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. SHAME REALLY!

Mediterranean Hotel-Facilities & Fitness

After ten years, I returned to the morning stretching program at the Mediterranean Hotel, and I can honestly say it was just as enjoyable and professionally delivered as I remembered.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Kata for her outstanding professionalism, kindness, positive energy, and excellent guidance. She creates a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and motivated, making each session both relaxing and uplifting.

I would also like to express my appreciation to the Spa Manager, Mrs. Rigou, whose exceptional organization, attention to detail, and dedication are reflected in the consistently high standards of the hotel’s wellness services. It is clear that her leadership plays an important role in ensuring that both members and hotel guests enjoy an outstanding experience.

It is rare to find a hotel that maintains such a high level of quality over so many years. Congratulations to the entire Mediterranean Hotel team for their commitment to excellence.

I highly recommend the morning stretching program to anyone staying at the hotel and look forward to returning again.
