Favourite place in Cyprus
Been coming here for over 20 years, last time being in 2024 & have stayed in the swimup rooms since opening in 2019.
This was the first time our room request was not done in all our stays even though booking 18 months in advance & requesting 9 months before but didn’t spoil our stay.
Love the latest changes which we’ve been suggesting in previous reviews….. the pool bar now remains open until 11pm which now stops the Terrace bar from being completely full & great for pre or after dinner drinks watching the sun go down. New snack bar/bar is another great addition.
Food as always is excellent wth great choices & quality at all times we were there as we always eat out too while here. Lovely to see Andreas & Margarita still running the restaurant to perfection .
Everywhere is perfectly clean & all staff excellent at all times everywhere in all public areas.
Al la carte restaurant was the best we’ve ever had here, great changes & feels completely different from main restaurant which it didn’t in the past. Negative though Is only 1 visit per stay whereas previously it was 1 visit per week.
The only negative in the Sungarden Beach is the same negative as our last visit in 2024, hence why we skipped a year is the poor non consistent house keeping as mentioned recently in other reviews. Usually in every hotel/cruise ship we have ever stayed in the towels are changed if put on the floor but here you never know, in our 14 night stay the room was only cleaned properly 3 times, some days no towels changed, while on another all towels were taken including clean unused ones so had to request them, we tried not to complain to reception but unfortunately had no choice & was the only time we needed to contact them. Tea/coffee was never replaced unless asked along with toilet rolls, one day we asked for some & was rudely shouted at saying “I’ve done, I’ve done finished” Again after contacting reception someone brought us some.
If the house keeping is rectified the Sungarden Beach will again be a full 5 stars but it needs to be monitored & looked after in the same way Andreas & Margarita run the restaurant.
All in clll we loved our stay here again & will monitor reviews to see if the house keeping improves and if it does return again soon.

The best hotel on Cyprus
We have been visiting Atlantica Sungarden Beach for the last 10 years, of course because we love the place, the location right on the water and the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Just look at the welcome message that was in our room, placed while we were up for lunch. I give them my best recommendations Regards Heide & Steen Thielsen, Denmark

Wouldn’t return the staff were very friendly and polite
Poor house keeping towels taken daily but not replaced despite complaint to reception continued to happen plus tea and coffee and milk not replenished a glass that we took up on the day we arrived remained on the top for the whole duration of the 10 day holiday. Great hotel, great location and great people
This hotel is in the best location in Ayia Napa. Sits on top of the cliffs so has a spectacular view. You are far enough away from party central to not be involved in it, but a 10-15 minute walk if you want to go into town. A short walk to the sandy Glyki Nero beach, which is quite sheltered so the sea is calm and at this time of year is relatively warm. The Sculpture park, the Love Bridge and some sea caves are close by.
When you check in, the first people you meet are the reception staff and they are all friendly and informative.
Breakfast is a laid back affair where you just come in and help yourself.
Lunch time you have waiting staff, who are all really polite and friendly, to take your drinks orders and it is the same for evening meal.
The food itself is of excellent quality and there are always plenty of options for every meal.
We only visited one pool area so can only comment on that, but it was always clean and never an issue to get a sun lounger at any time of the day and the infinity pool is impressive overlooking the vast Mediterranean.
We had a main building family room with sea view and this room type is in good decorative order and was very comfortable. The walk in rain fall shower is always a pleasant experience.
The manager Mr Christos is a true gentleman. His staff are all really nice. Special mentions to assistant manager Antonis, Katia, Yiannoula, Margarita, Andreas, Lakis, Aman and Sabbir. We will see you again soon.
