A mixed review for Capo bay. No meet and greet on arrival. Deluxe room with pool and sea view excellent, very clean and a good size, balcony was lovely. Cleaning staff friendly and did a really good job. The hotel & grounds are kept immaculate and the staff work really hard to keep it that way. Plenty of sun beds to go around and the cold towels distributed daily, was a nice touch when they remembered you. Reception very mediocre, not engaging and just went through the motions. The maintenance staff super engaging ,friendly and efficient. The food….. Breakfast a good choice always available. Lunch in Mammas was mostly good. The buffet nights were really poor and disappointing. The Koi restaurant very poor with a main course inedible ( having spoken to other guests I am not the only one who was disappointed and underwhelmed) we did not revisit. The Italian nights in the main restaurant were superb, excellent menu and quality of food. I would highly recommend. The hotel is very well situated in close proximity to the main strip. Fig Tree Bay is lovely but does get very busy as you would expect. The management, didn’t see anyone and no one was interested in how our stay went which is very unusual as all the other hotels I have been to on the island 4&5 star have been very customer focused. No help with suitcases when we left. Would I stay again? Maybe, due to location but only on a B&B basis. It has lots of repeat guests who highly rate it which is why I booked in the first place, for me it didn’t live up to my expectations which weren’t set particularly high but I expected a good standard of friendly customer service which was sadly lacking during my visit and for that reason I wouldn’t be in a hurry to rush back.

Been to the Capo last year and it was a great week. This year we were on the 3rd floor overlooking the strip. Unfortunately we were opposite the LOVE BOAT BAR which played music so loud you could hear it vibrating when our balcony door was closed. It was really loud even though there were no customers inside playing Boom Boom music. This went on til 2am each morning. Sadly the operations manager was quite dismissve when complained to. Eventually we moved room to the first floor with a side sea view which was much quiter. The staff at the Capo are great, really friendly and attentive. Tne breakfast are good with plenty of variety although sometimes the hot food was only warm. Beds around the pool plentiful and the spar facilities are good. Another issue we had was keeping a room because of late flights. We were told no rooms available and the facilities arrnt great to shower and change. Told later by another customer Capo charging 90 e to keep a room till 4pm. I used the spar facilities to shower and change only 10 e after 12 noon. Probably look for another hotel next year as the Capo is getting a bit dated now plus the LOVE BOAT BAR spoiling the ambience the Capo used to have.
