Cavo Zoe Seaside Hotel

2nd time here. Been with family also the first time and enjoyed every minute of it! The staff are all really nice, relaxed people and seem happy. They speak highly of their manager also which is often a good sign. So many names to name honestly. I love em all. I personally adore the Spa, the manager Dora and Owner Natatsia have both done a great job. Defo will come again if fate allows for it.

The location is pretty good for this hotel. The weather was great so when we stayed we would walk to and from Protaras as it was still warm at roughly 11pm and took about 30 minutes. The hotel looked beautiful, however when we arrived the man on reception to greet us was a little rude. He told us we had missed food and that he wouldn’t give us any information due to the time and just told us to get the elevator to our room. The room, seemed a lot smaller than expected and there was very little space to store clothes therefore my partner used the drawer and rack whilst I just used my suitcase which wasn’t very practical. There wasn’t much going on in the hotel, which isn’t too bad if you spend your evenings out. As we had missed breakfast we were given a food voucher each to use on lunch (we went half board). I will say the lunch options were the best meals and if you want these you must advise them in the morning you wish to swap the dinner to lunch. Dinner is more buffet style food, where as lunch is a proper meal. We had tacos, burgers, spaghetti etc and it really was the highlight food wise. The pools were lovely, and you can stand in them easily. There were a few weddings and baby shower or birthday parties which didn’t really give a holiday hotel vibe and I had never seen anything like this before. We had a few issues getting towels for the pools as well. We spent most of our days out and it was easy to get taxis from the hotel, however there were options to get a car from the hotel (British way of driving), or there was a bus stop right outside. There were also shops locally which were open late which was really helpful. I must say the hotel was definitely more of a chilled relaxed vibe and a lot of couples were there on what I would describe as a ‘baby moon’. On the last day we wanted a late check out due to a late flight, to which the receptionist was quite rude (this time a British female). She said she would have to wait to find out if someone in one of the more expensive rooms wanted a late check out first which I found quite irritating. She said all rooms were booked so we would have to wait to hear back but to pack up and be ready for check out incase. Then when asked if we could change lunch to dinner due to the late flight we were told that’s what the food voucher was for however this had not been explained. She then began to complain that Sundays are meant to be easy and indicating I was being a problem. Later then it was confirmed we could have the room for a later check out at a charge, but we couldn’t have the food as we had already used the food voucher (which we originally had been told we could use at any point - which we would’ve saved if we knew we would get no food on the Sunday). We then had to travel back into Protaras to get food as our flight was so late and my partner was diabetic. Although the hotel itself looks beautiful, the rooms were small, I wouldn’t consider the beach to really be a beach, and the service provided by staff wasn’t what I would have expected therefore, we personally do not recommend this hotel other than for its location (unless you are after a super quiet hotel).
