This apartment complex enjoys a great position in the island of Cyprus, being the ideal choice of accommodation for both families and couples on holidays. The apartments are very close from the beach and several sightseeing attractions such as the Tombs of the Kings or Kato Paphos Castle. Paphos fishing harbour is also very close by, allowing visitors to enjoy the myriad of restaurants, bars and cafeterias. Travellers will appreciate the fully furnished and well-equipped apartments that count with all conceivable features and amenities for a truly comfortable stay. They are fitted with a complete kitchenette for guests to prepare their own food and a private balcony surrounded by a beautiful garden where they can rest and relax after a busy day. Besides from relaxing by the hotel's outdoor and indoor pools, visitors might have some fun exercising at the gym or playing table tennis or pool.
My sister and I managed to grab a real last-minute bargain with this hotel, so for the price we paid, we weren’t expecting much. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we were actually a little worried, but we were pleasantly surprised.
Check-in was quick and smooth, and the gentleman on reception was really friendly. He even showed us to our block. We decided not to pay extra for a pool view, so we were in one of the furthest blocks. There wasn’t a lift, so we had to carry our suitcases up a few flights of stairs, but it wasn’t a huge issue.
The room itself was surprisingly spacious and spotlessly clean. It was a little dated, with dark wooden furniture, but the beds were large and really comfortable—and I’m definitely a mattress snob! There was plenty of storage space too. The bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished, and the shower was always hot with great water pressure. The balcony was a good size with what looked like a new table and chairs. The view wasn’t great, but that’s entirely our own fault for not upgrading to a pool view.
The pool area was a nice size and never felt overcrowded. The only downside was the lifeguard, who unfortunately came across as quite miserable and seemed very inconsistent with the rules. One day balls and inflatables were allowed, and the next day they were being taken away, which was a little frustrating.
The pool bar was good, and we ate there once. The food was really tasty, and although I thought the beers were a little expensive, they certainly weren’t overpriced compared with other holiday resorts.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and felt the hotel offered excellent value for money. If we managed to get another deal like this one (£300 for a week), I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
We’ve just had a lovely stay at Kefalonitis Hotel Apartments as a family of four and couldn’t have asked for a better holiday.
The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, from the rooms and communal areas to the pool. Our room was kept beautifully clean, with fresh towels and the beds changed pretty much every day we were there — a level of service we really appreciated.
The pool area was also fantastic. There was never an issue finding a sun lounger, which made relaxing by the pool so much easier. A special mention has to go to Lilly at the pool bar, who really made our stay extra special. She was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. She was a real credit to the hotel and definitely one of the highlights of our stay!
The location is another huge bonus. Being so close to the Tombs of the Kings bus station made getting around incredibly easy, with convenient access to the harbour, town and waterpark. It meant we could explore without having to worry about taxis or car hire.
Overall, we had a fantastic family holiday at Kefalonitis Hotel Apartments. The cleanliness, great facilities, convenient location and, most importantly, the wonderful staff made our stay one to remember. We would happily return and would definitely recommend it to other families looking for a lovely place to stay!
