Any hotel staff that welcome you on arrival with the words ‘sit down and have a drink’ after a 10 hour day travelling, have got to be a winner right from the start. And that warm, friendly welcome set the tone for an amazing week at Louis Ledera. Our first stay in Paphos after two trips to Protaras. We were a party of three adults and one 20-month-old and throughout the stay, nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere we went the staff across all departments made us feel wanted and welcome from Athena and the reception staff to the room attendants, restaurant and bar staff. As many other reviewers have said, the food was amazing. I am a pescatarian and the fish and salad dishes were varied and so tasty. The meat-eaters in the family all said the same. Make sure you book for the Italian evening which takes place outside by the pool as the sun goes down. And be prepared to pile on the pounds as the food is so well-presented and hard to resist. The lunchtime snack bar has a fine selection of wraps and salads alongside the usual nuggets/pizza and chips menu. Special mention must go to the drinks too. We have been to a number of resorts where the bars serve weak, watery drinks but at Louis Ledera the drinks were amazing. I recommend the Old Fashioned in the lobby bar and make sure you say hello to Ali and the rest of the staff who were so friendly. I have read comments about the rooms but we could not fault ours. Clean and tidy with very good air-con and a fridge re-stocked daily. The pools were perfect for a cooling dip. We spent most of our time by the children’s pool where our toddler had a brilliant time and we met some lovely people. The sea is at the bottom of the site but be prepared to navigate the rocks. We had fun jumping off the end of the jetty nearby but the tide can be strong. That said, the water is shallow in parts which allows for standing. For me the only real room for improvement is the entertainment. Yes, the young staff members worked hard but the daytime activities were the same across most days and the night-time acts were not the best. I have worked in the entertainment industry for decades and have seen some very good staff shows and visiting cabaret but not at Louis Ledera. It was the same at the two hotels in Protaras so maybe it’s a Cyprus thing. It was such a shame as the amphitheatre was ideal for a show but was seldom full maybe due to its location. Paphos itself was okay but had little to offer non-sun worshippers like myself compared to Protaras which was a bus ride away from Ayia Napa and the amazing Famagusta plus the church in the hills which I reviewed previously. Yes, it is easy to hire a car I hear you cry and I agree but we always like to travel by the local bus to get a flavour of any place. The 611 stops close to Louis Ledera for The Harbour and Tomb of the Kings then you need the 618 to the Old Town. The walk from Louis Ledera to the town is around 35 minutes along the seafront then we walked to the shopping centre and then the Old Town which took about 45 minutes but it is not for the fainthearted as it is all uphill and steep the closer you get to the Old Town. If you want a relaxing holiday in an amazing hotel with fantastic food and drink served by friendly staff then you will love Louis Ledera but if you are like me and not one to spend time on a sunbed then it would have to be Protaras which also has a number of Louis hotels. Éna megálo efcharistó se ólous sto Louis Ledra gia tis ypéroches diakopés pou den tha xechásoume poté! We will be back!
Amazing view, comfortable rooms, clean everywhere. Buffet was so big with a lot of choices even vegetarian and vegan options. Staff was so polite and friendly ready to serve you all the time.Manager was so friendly with the customers and very expert and professional.
Highly recommend the Louis Ledra Hotel in Paphos! It’s one of the more established hotels here, but it hasn’t lost its charm. It has everything you need—fresh food, a lovely pool, and a great all-inclusive experience where absolutely nothing is missing.
But the real heart of this hotel is its people. The staff is everything! A huge thank you to the incredibly dedicated housekeeping and maintenance teams. The wonderful ladies at reception—Katerina, Maria, Joanna, and Athina—greeted us with so much warmth, and Maxim from the entertainment team brought fantastic energy. Honestly, every single person we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming, from the attentive lifeguards to every last waiter (as Ali and more) .
They upgraded us to a room with a pool and sea view after just one day, which completely changed our whole experience. We could easily stay here for another week!
We spent a week here as a family of 5 across 2 rooms beginning of August and trip overall was excellent. The staff work long hours and tirelessly. They are a credit to the hotel from reception, dining areas and pool/bar etc. The food i found was cooked really well and plenty of options. Enjoyed every meal. Maybe a few more kid friendly options would be useful. Paphos is lovely and hotel is right on beach and a nice walkway all along front of coast. The rooms and hall areas could be doing with some investment. There were a few signs of damp and felt the room could have been cleaner on arrival as dust around skirtings/room and false eyelash on bed. If this was fixed the hotel would really be on another level. The cleanliness did seem to improve over week and not a criticism of cleaning staff as they are constant. Entertainment average but again entertainment guys really hardworking and nice characters. Think would be good if some more tip boxes around the place as might prompt more visitors to tip. I tipped individuals over the week but cant say I seen any others do so. Feel as though the staff there deserve it.
We had the pleasure of booking this hotel for our wedding/holiday and we couldn’t have picked a nicer place . The staff on arrival were outstanding as we were greeted warmly with snacks/drinks and our bags taken at the door . The receptionists were very friendly and upon arriving to our room, we had champagne on ice waiting for us with an appointment card to meet our wedding advisor .
We met our wedding coordinator Joanna the next day to go through the day and she ensured our day was perfect . No stress on our behalf whatsoever and she made sure everything ran to time and made sure the cake , decorations , flowers etc were all set up on time . Nothing was too much trouble . She did everything to accommodate everybody including offering talking to the chefs for fussy eaters and gave us her number for anything we wanted to ask . We couldn’t have wished for a more helpful friendly wedding planner .
Other staff that deserve a mention are Athena for her lovely welcoming attitude and just natural ability to make us feel welcome and taking an interest in talking to the children . Tom who served us a lot of the time at the bar and made my little one feel very grown up asking for her own drinks and was making jokes with her and making her feel able to go up on her own to ask him for drinks Pantelisa in the restaurant for her friendly dining experience and taking an interest in our children too , And the front of house staff for being there no matter what we needed , nothing was too much trouble from storing our cake to bringing it out to us on request wherever we were in the hotel .
The whole hotel is very clean and a very nice pool area which the kids loved . We will defiantly be back to celebrate anniversary’s in future and would highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Cyprus .
