Great holidays

We were at the Amour Holiday Resort for 10 nights as a family with kids, and we can only recommend this hotel for the summer holiday. Clean rooms every day, towels change 2 times per week, service was great, clean whole area of the hotel and food was delicious (also for me as a vegetarian). There was evening program 3 times per week, we enjoy Greek night the most. Really kind staff and barman who recommended to us a great places for visit. Free parking for rented car, within 30-60 min by car we can see a lot of great places at Corfu. Hotel has a great location at Sidari, stright to the clean and calm beach (one minute walk behind the opposite restaurant), calm location but promenade is directly on the corner of the hotel. Canal d´Amour 5 minutes walk. We enjoy whole vacation here! :)

Exceptional Hospitality,Day and night

A Wonderful Stay – Thank You for the Hospitality

We stayed at this resort with my two children, travelling all the way from Australia, and we had a very enjoyable stay. The resort was clean, comfortable, and well looked after.

What impressed me most was the dedication and care of the manager. Even at 1:00 in the morning, she was still walking around, checking that everything was running smoothly and making sure the guests were happy and comfortable. She constantly had a smile on her face and was always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. As a mum travelling with two children, I really appreciated that level of care.

The pool and bar area are a little dated and could use some updating, but they were clean and well maintained, which is what matters most.

Overall, we had a lovely experience and felt very welcome. A big thank you to the manager and the whole team for making our stay enjoyable. We travelled a long way from Australia, and I’m very happy we chose this resort.

Thank you for looking after us so well!

— Susie

Not a 4-Star All-Inclusive Experience – Poor Dining & Major Maintenance Issues

Summary / Basic Info If you only read the first few sentences of long reviews, all you need to know is that this is one of the lowest-quality 4* hotels I have ever visited (I’ve stayed at about 15 seaside hotels, mainly in Greece), and if you don't want to be disappointed, look elsewhere. For the same money, you can find better hotels, even directly in Sidari. The reality does not correspond at all to what one expects from a 4* all-inclusive hotel. This hotel met the 4-star rating only on paper due to the list of services it offers, but certainly not through their quality. The main issues are neglected cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance (e.g., a cloudy pool, lack of trash cans in the rooms) and definitely below-average food. If someone is looking for a good location and uses the hotel mainly as a base for trips and evening walks, the stay is manageable. However, if someone expects quality all-inclusive, good gastronomy, and a pleasant hotel area, they will likely be very disappointed. Corfu is a beautiful green island with a pleasant climate, but our experience was spoiled precisely by this hotel.

Hotel and Services The hotel is partially renovated and located close to the main beach in Sidari, though there is a street and restaurants between the hotel and the beach. At first glance, the hotel and its surroundings look fine, but when you look closer, something is broken, unkept, or dirty everywhere. Access to the reception leads directly through the dining and food serving area. Carrying suitcases past dining guests is logistically managed very poorly. Next to the hotel is a dirty canal, which can occasionally be smelled in the heat. The canal leads to the sea, but when it's dry, the water stands still and doesn't flow into the sea, leaving a stagnant, foul-smelling stream. Wi-Fi is free at the hotel—in some areas quite strong (Wi-Fi 6 / 100 Mbps), while elsewhere it is weaker with dropouts (like in our room directly above the dining room). We also experienced power outages several times during our stay, during which running water stopped working as well.

Dining / Food The food selection was very weak, meals were repetitive, and the quality was rather below average. There is one children's option (almost always spaghetti), one vegetarian option (eggplant prepared in several ways), chicken thighs, and 1–2 other dishes. Grilling took place at least once a day, but they have no idea how to grill at the hotel—nice pieces of tuna were cooked until completely dried out. We were also disappointed with the quality of the side dishes, giving us a strong impression that uneaten french fries from lunch were repeatedly served again for dinner. The coffee from the machine was undrinkable, though that is the case in almost every hotel.

Neither the salads, yogurts, nor side dishes could improve anyone's mood; 90% of the fruit was just two types of melon, with occasional additions (pineapple, apricots, cherries).

If you like sweets and don't mind having only baklava twice a day for lunch and dinner, then it's fine. After 4 days, I noticed that other cakes were set out at the start of the meal for only about 15 minutes. When I asked the staff why they were only there for a short time, the response was "because the guests eat them." I did not expect such reasoning. Later, they occasionally put out cakes more often, but they weren't good, so I went back to the baklava. All-inclusive drinks were rather basic with a weaker selection: the beer was fine, the wine was bad, and the mixed drinks were drinkable. However, I can't understand one thing—they took "mixed" drinks literally and stirred every single one with a spoon at the end. Even in this area, the hotel does not feel up to the standard one would expect from a 4* resort. During an all-inclusive stay, food is a crucial part of the vacation, and this is where the hotel significantly lags behind in our opinion. We considered eating in restaurants outside the hotel. Compared to other 4* properties, this is the weakest gastronomic service I have ever experienced.

Pool The pool is another weak point. It looks better in photos than in reality; the area around it is strangely laid out and overall does not feel like a pleasant place where one would want to spend a major part of the day. In neighboring hotels, the pool water everywhere was crystal clear, but in this pool, it was cloudy—you couldn't see the bottom—and green, often slimy buildup formed along the edges. By the pool, there is only one shared toilet for men and women. The showers by the pool were in such a state that nobody used them.

Accommodation Our room, a so-called Junior Suite, was usable and fine for sleeping, even though the hotel as a whole is visibly worn out. Anyone who pays attention to detail will find many minor flaws and neglected maintenance (mold, broken spots). Personally, older furniture didn't bother us that much; the issue was more the overall impression of the hotel and the quality of services. Promo or Economy rooms were even worse, and if someone complains about the rooms in reviews, in my opinion, it was about those room types. What completely shocked me was that there is no trash can in the room. When I asked for one at the reception, I had no luck. I tried resolving it through the tour rep as well, without success, so we had to take out our own trash. Supposedly, it was like this in other rooms too. The bin for used toilet paper is emptied only every second or third day. I had to "borrow" toilet paper myself twice from a room used as a housekeepers' storage room.

Location, Beach, Surroundings The location is a big plus. Nearby, there are beautiful sandstone rock formations, so you will take plenty of great photos from there. The main beach slopes very gradually for a long distance, and if you want to swim, you have to walk very far from the shore (I estimate up to 250 meters). Around the area, however, there are small but nice beaches—I discovered the prettiest one on the last day of our stay, just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. During our stay, there were tons of seaweed everywhere that weren't being cleaned up, except once with an excavator and a dump truck. The hotel is located directly in Sidari, so shops, bars, restaurants, and nightlife are reachable on foot in just a few steps. The first shops are only a few meters from the hotel. It was precisely the hotel's surroundings that significantly saved our stay. I recommend renting a car from a nearby rental shop and driving at least once to the capital city (over an hour's drive) and ideally exploring the whole island.

Staff The staff was mostly pleasant, smiling, and we had no major issues with their attitude; the guys at the bar were very friendly. The main issue is the hotel management, which clearly doesn't visit other hotels to see what the actual standard should be.
