‘Blue Bay Resort Hotel' is located on the northern side of Crete, above Mononaftis Bay, 22km from the capital city of Heraklion, in the quiet village of Agia Pelagia. Thanks to its privileged slope position, it offers breathtaking views of the Cretan Sea. For a vacation in an environment full of natural beauty, ‘Blue Bay Resort Hotel' has a wide selection of room types, offers excellent service as well as a range of leisure activities. ‘Blue Bay Resort Hotel' is an ideal choice for relaxing and enjoyable holidays. It is also a central point for excursions throughout the island of Crete. Kind remark: The resort's slope location with steps and stairs is not suitable for guests with mobility issues and limited suitable for baby carriages.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Well what can I say ,we have just come back from having two weeks at this amazing resort. It was our second time there and it was better than the first time we went last year . When we arrived in the early hours of the morning we were greeted with smiley ,happy reception staff who couldn’t do enough for us.As we arrived late we were given a snack bag each which contained a roll and some fruit which was greatly received along with a cup of tea because we asked for a kettle in the room and they duly obliged. We were taken up to our room and all I can say is wow ,we went out onto the balcony and what a view we had ,we were directly right in front of the pool and pool bar and amazing views every which way we looked. This hotel should be a front runner on how to deal with sunbeds ,we were there for two weeks and apart from the time we went out on excursions we had the same sunbeds and didn’t go down till 8.00am and then went to breakfast and then back to sunbed at 8.45. The food was simply sensational for breakfast, lunch and dinner ,there was so much choice and plenty of drinks as well. All the staff were brilliant including all the waiting staff ,door staff especially Angela who always had a smile and a huge mention to Zacharias who made the holiday with his humour and wit and brilliant first class service . The pool bar was excellent as well with a menu of free drinks including beer wine and lots of soft drinks and plenty of snacks all through the day ,a big mention must go to Georgia and marco who were brilliant at there job and always done it with a smile on their face and recognised me straight away from my visit last year. The evening entertainment was really good especially the dance shows and the acrobats . Overall this place is amazing ,so clean ,so friendly and just the best place to go if you want a nice relaxing holiday .we will be back next year and cannot wait . The only thing I would say is on the activity sheet some of the stuff wasn’t done which was a bit of a shame I.e inflatable obstacle and also the floating challenge but other than that it was truly brilliant 10/10 for every aspect BLUE BAY TAKE A BOW
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Bay Resort, the location was superb with amazing views out to sea and only a short walk to the beach. The atmosphere around the hotel was always great however, pool entertainment throughout the day could do with a tiny bit more energy. We were fortunate to receive a room upgrade in the main hotel, both the room and balcony were spacious with great views. Pool bar, reception, restaurant and cleaning staff were all go the extra mile and are extremely pleasant - huge shout out to those. The only recommendations I would suggest to the hotel would be for them to consider self-service soft drinks near the pool bar and an additional set of wine / beer taps which would reduce queues. Overall, would definitely recommend Blue Bay Resort - thank you for a great holiday!
We felt the accomodation was tired and dated. We stayed in the Annex which was disconnected, and the rooms are badly in need of modernisation. Whilst there was a bar that served coffee in the morning, it didn't open until 10am, so a ten minute walk for a morning coffee. The food was very tasty, however with it being all inclusive, only small plates were available, which gave the place a school cafeteria vibe. Such a shame as the food was delicious. Personally I wouldn't call this hotel 4 star, 3 stars at best. Pools were busy and overcrowded, no chance of a sun lounger by the main pools after 10am. It also felt isolated, around 25 minutes walk up some serious terrain to Agia Pelagia, lovely town. The highlight by far was Tsimento Beach, maybe the nicest beach I've ever been to. This is connected to the much nicer, and more expensive Peninsula hotel, but is open to the public, so we spent most of our time there.
I was Amazing experiance. Magnific view, fantastic food, good price.
Hi, this is Brent Remmery. I think your hotel is really cool and cozy. I also appreciate how quickly the hot tub light was fixed—it was broken, but now it's repaired, thanks to your quick response. Best regards, Brent
