Sol Marina Beach Crete

I lost my wallet during my stay, and thankfully, someone from the staff found it and brought it to reception. A huge thank you to whoever found it — I really appreciate it! And thank you to the whole team for making my stay so pleasant. I had a wonderful time!

We just spent a week at Sol Marina Beach. The staff do an incredible job keeping this operation frictionless. The food never ran out, there were always empty glasses to pick up and use, there was always a table set and ready to sit at any time of day. I think these things can easily go unnoticed at a hotel, but here the staff are really on it and the operation is seamless. Food was fantastic, always good options to choose from and tasty. Hotel is very clean and you see them really on top of the cleaning too. All the staff and friendly, the animation team are great. Johnny Boy and Samuel in particular. I can’t really fault anything in the hotel, only the guests really. When we were there the clientele were mainly French and German and it seemed everyone smoked. Even in non smoking areas where there were signs guests were smoking. That was the only disappointment, as this is a family hotel. You also see a lot of parents allowing their young children to go to the buffet alone, this often lead to dropped glasses, or dropped plates. Again not the fault of the hotel, just the behavior of the guests. I would recommend this hotel, great for families, great food, good entertainment, ok beach, but for me there was just too many kids and too many smokers.
