Well the Lango Design does not disappoint in fact it keeps on giving and definitely lives up to its 5 stars.
Fabulous location and 25 minute walk or 15/20 minute bicycle ride into Kos Town. With its own beautiful
Private beach and service it truly is a gem. When you get inside the hotel it’s private and the pool area is stunning. Never a problem getting a Sunbed and with the fabulous service from the team you don’t have to lift a finger. Little touches throughout your stay including free shots, good tasting, complimentary snacks around the pool and in your room daily 👍
It was my daughter’s birthday whilst we were there and they made her a cake and presented us with a bottle of fizz. Such a lovely personal touch 🙂
The decor is modern but comfortable and there is always a lovely welcoming and relaxing atmosphere there.
The rooms are lovely, some with their own breathtaking pools and patio areas. The maid service is second to none with a turn down service each evening.
The staff work really hard to ensure your stay is first class. Nothing is too much trouble and special personal shout outs go to; our maid ( Room 413), Dimitrius and Dora on reception, Alex (top manager with incredible wine knowledge), Alvi, Christine (breakfast and day service) and Emmi and Litsa in evening service. You are all wonderful, hardworking and totally deserve the tip we left for you all 🙂
I would definitely recommend this hotel and spa and definitely would return. Kos is another lovely Greek Island but made even more special from our stay at Lango Design. Thank you so much .
Lango is a beautiful, serene hotel in a natural setting with a beautiful beach and the perfect spot for watching the sunset. It’s a sophisticated design, modern and emaculately clean. Friendly staff and good food. We had the superior room with garden and pool, great to relax in. Main pool lovely, but no view as it’s in the middle of the complex. Room lovely but no hanging space in the wardrobe for dresses or trouser suits so I had all my clothes hung on hangovers outside the wardrobe over the doors which was annoying and awkward to open and close all week, (bad design)!
If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing hotel it’s perfect. There’s no atmosphere or vibe though and apart from a singer on Thursday night, which was old school, there’s nothing ‘cool’ 😎 about the hotel or anything to entertain its guests. Having said that, it’s the perfect hotel for quiet time and relaxing.
There’s bicycle/scooter lanes so we had such an adventure hiring push bikes and really enjoyed this mode of transport. The locals are friendly, polite and kind to all using the biking lanes. Really noticed how respected visitors are and I felt safe. It’s a good 30 minutes plus to the old town on foot and very hot to walk of course in summer plus it felt forever walking back so bikes are a great option. We used a taxi on night 1, pricey and they’re hard to book as not used much.
On leaving we checked out at 1pm which was kindly extended and were given a key for 5pm-6pm to a very hot, windowless and stuffy shower room by the gym. This was not what we expected. We were literally dripping with sweat and had to change in the corridor as the shower room was unbearable. For a 5 star hotel that was not good enough. The young man on reception did offer the spa area after they closed but we’d already showered and dressed. I think the hotel Manager needs to consider an air conditioned basic room for this situation as it wasn’t a very pleasant end to a lovely week at Lango.
Highly recommend the hotel and think this is a fair review.
Im not sure where to start with this review as this whole entire holiday has been up there with one of the best ones (we've been on 10!) We have never stayed in a 5 star hotel before and wanted to treat ourselves. We are so glad that we made this decision and picked lango for our holiday. The staff were absolutely amazing and we cant fault any of them every single individual that works there is an absolute credit, so friendly and welcoming. They really didn't want you to lift a finger they all wanted you to relax and enjoy your holiday. The pool and beach area were impeccable and the rooms met up to the same standard. The hotel is on a main road and we had a side room so we overlooked the pool, the sea and the road but we never heard any noise from outside. The breeze you get from the sea is a lifesaver in my opinion. Housekeeping was always kept up to date, you even get a pillow menu, if you aren't happy with your pillow theres 7 ones you can choose from! they would even leave little treats in your room every couple of days which was such a sweet little touch. Breakfast was lovely plenty of things to choose from and everything was freshly topped up quickly. Kos old town is about a 40 min walk and the road down towards it is very long…however there is a bus that you can use, Greece version of lime scooters and plenty of bike hire places nearby. We did a wine tour, boat day and a sunset trip to Zia. You can find them all on get your guide i 100% recommend them! The food and drink at the hotel was lovely too really fresh and generous portion sizes. I was so sad to leave this hotel and wish we had booked a longer holiday not just because the hotel was gorgeous but mostly because the people that work there even down to the cleaners were some of the most loveliest people I've ever met.
Where do I start ?! This hotel is superb. But the thing that makes it so special are the staff. A lot of people have said this and it's true. A special shout out to Dimitris and Dora on reception who were so nice and very helpful. Also Alvi in the breakfast and pool bar service. A lovely guy and not forgetting the super friendly 'bell boy' who's name I didn't get.
The hotel is so relaxing and we loved the peace down by the pool (apart from one young lad that was playing music on his phone one day - he got a few hard stares from various people! )
The pool is pretty cool , but it's so refreshing on a hot day. We had lunch a few times by the pool. Pizza was nice as was the chicken panko wrap. But the portions are big, so unless you're a big eater, maybe share.
The hotel has an app with all the menus for the pool bar , the restaurant and beach bar. We only used the beach over the road once. It was nice and Ledi took care of us with drinks over there. The room itself (211 with sea view at front on 1st floor) was lovely and the AC was very good ! they let you leave it on the whole time. None of this putting room card in to make it work. There is a card they provide the whole time. The shower was good but didn't drain well, we should have reported it but didn't until a couple of days before we left. It was sorted right away.
Breakfast was an event ! what a huge spread! something for everyone - even eggs benedict ! We ate dinner once at the hotel , when they had piano player and singer. A shame there were not many people there , but we were quite late so may have been more earlier. I was surprised how big the portions were ! really nice food !
There is not a shop in the hotel, but there is one a 5 min walk away if you use the shortcut I mention in my video (see below)
Cats are made welcome around the hotel as they are in most places, which we love.
we often got the bus into Kos town. There is a bus stop almost right out the front of the hotel 2 euros one way. Note, they are sometimes a bit early and sometimes a bit late, they fly down the road towards hotel, so make sure you put your hand out to make it clear you want to get on. If they are full they don't stop, but we never had that issue. (we usually got a taxi back - there are queues, but there is a guy there that organises it quite well) You can also pre book a private transfer for 30 euros ! oh and another tip is, some bars and restaurants will order you a taxi if you give them plenty of notice. We also did that.
I have done a full hotel review for my ewe toob channel and will be online sometime during August 2026. Look for The Teesside Traveller UK.
I 100% recommend this hotel, it really is special. Thank you to all of the staff for a memorable stay.
We spent five days at the Lango Design Hotel & Spa and everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was beautiful, with a stunning view.
Special mention for the food: it’s very rare that every single dish is excellent, and here it truly is. Whether it was the snacks, the evening meals or breakfast, everything was outstanding. The morning buffet is very generous and of remarkable quality, you can tell everything is homemade.
The reception and service were also flawless, with lots of thoughtful little touches: cookies, and even a bottle of olive oil offered when we left.
A perfect stay, we will definitely come back. Thank you to the whole team!
