We have just come back from an amazing holiday at the Cyprotel hotel. Before we arrived I had emailed to ask if we could have our two rooms close together. They told me they would try thier best to get us two rooms close together. When we arrived we had a very quick check in and I was delighted to find that our rooms were right next to each other and in a great location. We arrived on a late flight, the hotel had left out a cold buffet for us to have. This included bread, ham, cheese, a section of salad and chocolate and vanilla cake.
The food we found was brilliant and they had a really good variety. There was a tex mex night and each evening there was different meat avalaible that was cooked fresh. We had salmon, beef, duck while we were there. Pizza was also cooked fresh each evening. There was a good selection for the kids too.y kids loved breakfast! They had fresh pancakes everyday, you do have to que up as they go quick but they keep bringing more out. At lunch we didn’t use the buffet but went to the snack bar. Every day they had chips and then over the week a range of either fish fingers, chicken dippers, beef burger, chicken burger, chicken kebabs, lamb kebab and onion rings. They also had a range of salads, toasties, cakes and wraps too. Ice cream was available at the snack bar from 11 - 4:30. They had vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and banana. The best part was Greek doughnuts daily from 2-4:30. You could choose from a range of chocolate sauce and sprinkles too. Chocolate and Oreo pieces was a favourite in our family! They also had a good range of cocktails and mocktails.
The pools were clean and there was lots of activities to do on a daily basis. We had a bubble party and a pink foam party when we were there. The slides were fab too! My youngest was 4 and she wasn’t allowed on the big slides as you needed to be 6 and they do check. She was happy with the little children’s pool with a pirate ship in.
Entertainment was great! Every evening the kids can get a free face painting and one night they did balloons. The Mini disco was fab and then we watched an acrobat act and two singing acts. They were all brilliant!
The rooms were basic but I was happy with them. They are cleaned daily and they had a hairdryer, tv hand wash and body wash provided. They were big enough and we had a nice sitting area outside. Air con was great! In fact we had to turn it off in the night as it did get a bit cold !
We had a late transfer back. We checked out at 11 but were not being picked up until 5:30. At reception they booked us into a room at 4 for half an hour so we could shower and get changed before we left which I thought was really good.
The twin is walking distance and there is a little train that comes to the hotel that will take you to faliraki town which I would recommend. It was 10 euros an adult I think and 5 euros a child. You can stay on for the tour which I think is about 45 minutes or you can get out at the town and have either an hour or three hours to explore and then they pick you back up.
The hotel offer a catch ride to Rhodes old town which was good value too but we left it too late to book and it was full.
I heard lots before we went about mosquitoes but we didn’t get bit once.
The only thing I would say is that some of our swim wear did go a bit yellow from the pool. I think it was a combination of the chlorine and suncream so maybe don’t take white swimwear!
Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we will definitely be going back. The staff were all friendly and ensured we had a brilliant holiday.
Ok, so as a family of 4 (myself and 3 children) I have nothing but good things to say about our experience here. We had previously stayed twice before and happened to mention this to the friendly receptionist upon arrival, later that evening a loyalty gift assortment of drinks and treats arrived at my room. How lovely is that!! Rooms are basic but cleaned daily, beds comfortable and you only sleep in the room! Balcony overlooking waterpark which was lovely. Food was lovely, snack bar is great for adults and kids, the ice cream is all day and delicious and the little freshly made dough balls and sauce...well... yum!! Pools are clean and staff work tirelessly to maintain it, cup collectors and cleaning staff are so hard working. Restaurant food was delicious and always plenty of choice, beautiful roof top patio seating too. The main thing for me about this hotel that keeps me coming back is the animation team, massive shout out to MARLYN....the most beautiful soul. Will we be back again....YES!!! THANK YOU CYPROTEL FOR ANOTHER MAGICAL WEEK ✨️ 💖
This was our first all inclusive holiday as a family of four, two adults and two children, aged 7 and 5. We arrived at the hotel around 3pm, and check in was quick and easy. We were staying in room 1223. The room was basic but more than enough for us, as we spent most of our time outside enjoying everything the hotel had to offer. Housekeeping was also very good, with the room cleaned and tidied every day. We always managed to find a table at breakfast, lunch and dinner, even during peak times. The food was decent, with plenty of both hot and cold options, and the selection varied from day to day, which was nice. The pools and slides were great for the kids. At the main pool, there is a pool bar that you can access both from inside the pool and from outside. Unfortunately, the cocktails were pretty disappointing, so I stuck with beer! There was always something to do if you wanted to get involved. The animation team made a real effort to include as many guests as possible. Every evening there was a kids’ disco followed by a show, which the children really enjoyed. One of the best things for us was the free shuttle bus, which takes you directly to the beach. It was very convenient, especially with two young children. Overall, we had a really enjoyable family holiday. The hotel isn’t luxurious, and the rooms are fairly basic, but for us it offered everything we needed for a fun and relaxing all-inclusive break with the kids.
Very nice hotel, we don’t get the room option we had paid for but that was the agents fault not necessarily the hotel. However food was great, views from the main restaurant are really good. Really chilled approach to the pool from staff which makes it more family friendly. Could have done with more accessible water and the tap in the restaurant was really slow. That along with more chairs/tables at the pool bar in the evening would be my only gripes. Had a fantastic time, slides were loved by kids and adults and a special shoutout the pool bar staff…Kevin, Jocelyn, Mary Joyce, Milo’s and Ivan - really good people and made the pool days good fun! Short walk to faliraki main strip as well. Great trip all round.
We booked the Cyprotel after seeing decent enough reviews. We had stayed in Rhodes before at a different hotel so wanted to give a new place a go.
Check in - nice and smooth everything explained in detail about the hotel. Safe key was given free of charge if you wanted it, very friendly staff ( annoyingly I forgot it’s €10 per room per day ) so had to pay €60 on arrival
Room - we had a standard room ( 2114 ) the Room was located just behind the snack bar and inbetween the two pools which was great. Beautiful view of the sun rise from our balcony also! The room was a little worn but that isn’t really an issue as it’s just somewhere to rest our heads it was very clean though and the cleaners kept it clean all week. The walk in shower was on the smaller side but still fine for a 6ft1 bloke. Air con was decent and the cleaners don’t turn it off when they clean so it’s left on all day every day which helps! We didn’t need to put the key in for the electric to work also so we left it on all holiday. None of us ended up with a cough from the air con which has happened in other hotels so we were happy about that.
Pools/waterpark - we spent every day around the main pool. The first day we went down at about 9am to get some sun beds and got some straight away. They weren't in the best location but regardless we had some. If you want the front ones I’d suggest getting up at 6am and you’ll have your pick. I’ve seen people moan about some of the sun beds being on grass but to be honest it’s a god send as the floor burns your feet. It’s also very slippery in parts so be careful. The main pool is a walk in pool and is really big it isn’t super deep either about 1.3m deep. Be warned though all of my wife and daughters swimming costumes ended up with a greenish stain on all of their bikinis ( doing the washing now so not sure if they’re stained permanently ) the water park is really good 6 different slides and the life guards are quite chill about everything so kids were going down at the same time and they didn’t seem to mind. They have a drinks station there too that has all the usual coke, lemonade, ect. The main pool has a swim up bar which serves a whole range of drinks. I’ll add a photo of them. They were all quite nice as well as a beer and wine bar behind it. I’m fussy with my beer but quite liked the beer they had. There is also a small baby/kid pool next to the bar with two slides as well as a little baby pool at the water park.
Restaurant - plenty of spaces indoors and outdoors to sit. And plenty of choice of food. If you are a picky eater they have chips, burgers, pizza for dinner and bacon beans eggs ect for breakfast. The dinners were perfect loads of meats to choose from every night. There really is something for everyone. The snack bar was brilliant for lunch. Hotdogs chips fish fingers chicken nuggets wraps toasties ice cream and also doughnuts they cook infront of you and drizzle them in chocolate and sprinkles. As usual with every all inclusive you’ll get people pushing infront of you to get what they want but that’s in every hotel we have ever been too. We Brit’s just love a queue!
Entertainment staff - really nice bunch of people. They very engaging with the kids and adults they put on their own show on one of the nights and it was brilliant. The effort they put in is some of the best we have seen abroad. Special mention to Clara, my daughter loved her she was so sweet to her. The pink party was fun but be warned and to be fair the animation team they did warn you to watch your kids what started as a foam cannon in the water with loads of inflatable balls and flamingos turned into a ball war with everyone picking a side and throwing the balls at eachother I did see a couple kids take a ball to the head but that’s just the risk with so much going on! My daughter took a headbutt from someone in the middle of the foam and the guest relations lady Alessia quickly got her some ice and made her feel better and got us all some drinks she has only been in the job one week but you wouldn’t of known this as she was very good at her job which we appreciated. Pool games every day was fun and got very competitive but all good spirits.
Excursions - There is a lady just too the left of reception who books excursions for you. She was absolutely lovely! People like her are what makes holidays that extra bit special. She booked us a boat trip to lindos which was an all day event with stops in beautiful locations to jump into the sea. They provide goggles, life jackets or pool noodles if you aren’t a strong swimmer. Personally it’s worth buying your own full face snorkel so you can just float as see all the beautiful fish swimming around. That cost €100 for 3 of us which we felt was a massive bargain. Lindos should be seen by all its such a picturesque place but be warned it’s at the top of a big hill so people with mobility issues should steer clear. Once you’re up there it’s pretty much level with hundreds of shops.
Beach - there is a free bus that takes you too and from the beach. It doesn’t drop you to the main beach but too a smaller one but it was perfect shallow water to snorkel in a shop right there for ciders and it’s €25 for 2 beds and a parasol which is cheap compared to the main beach. Just sit on one and eventually the man will come round to take payment.
Anyone wanting to watch the football mikes sports pub is about a 10 min walk away. It’s easy to find and is advertised at the hotel. The owner and his wife were brilliant they are very welcoming and has loads of TVs including a gigantic one outside. Free pool table and darts too. Beers are around €6 ciders about €5 fizzy drinks about €3
There is loads of electric scooters outside the hotel which are handy to get about. It cost us €10 for two from the main beach in Faliraki to the hotel. Simple download the app from the QR on the scooter add payment method and go no license needed
Transfers from the airport took about an hour
There was probably just as much English and French here and that seems to be the main two nationalities that go here
All in all a very good holiday at a very clean and nice hotel with nice staff. We make a thing of always going to a different hotel every year but we would be happy to go back here.
