It is located close to the beach and offers a unique view of the sunset over the southern Aegean islands and the mountains of the Turkish coastline. They also have balconies, offering either sea, pool, garden or mountain views. A TV and mini-fridge are available upon request (subject to fees). Baby cots are available for no extra charge. Nirvana Beach Hotel
Me and my fiancé stayed here this summer and we had such a good time in Rhodes!
This hotel has many pros and cons:
Pros:
It is extremely easy to get the bus to all the top places in Rhodes from the bus stop just 100m from the hotel, and the staff were helpful in letting us know the timetables and what to do etc.
The staff were polite and friendly.
The beach is super close and has many good spots to eat, drink, kite surf, jet ski, swim in the sea.
There are only a few restaurants in and around Theologos but all of them are really good, but for more food options I would recommend Krimasti, which is a 20 minute bus away. Grandmas kitchen was one of the best ones we went to in Krimasti. Sunset beach bar and Billy’s cafe we would highly recommend, both in Theologos.
Hotel has a tennis court just next to the pool which you can get tennis rackets and balls free of charge, but obviously they aren’t top class equipment, but it’s free!
Supermarket is super close and sells everything you would need during a stay here.
The cleaners are extremely great and reliable, and always change the towels daily, change the bedding etc.
Cons:
The food isn’t a ‘buffet style’ rather a list of options you choose from as many times in the breakfast timing, then lunch and dinner is served as a 5 course set menu that changes daily. The food is a good standard here however we found it difficult to communicate any changes we needed to make to the menu. So if you are fussy/don’t eat certain foods it is quite difficult to manage.
The room we were originally given was incredibly outdated and looked nothing like the photos, the sink was almost off the wall, the bath had years of build up and residue etc. Definitely pay the extra for the deluxe upgrade, the difference is unreal.
The pool had sediment at the bottom along the edges the whole time we were there and the fountain at one end of the pool does not work and the plants around it are all dead, which just makes it feel uncared for…
Hotel is very close to the airport, meaning a quick transfer time, but sometimes a noisy day, if you are easily disturbed by planes, though we didn’t have an issue with this.
Air conditioning comes at an extra price of €8 a night, but works effectively and is worth it in my opinion!
We originally got given the wrong style room and if we hadn’t of said anything, we would have had to stay there for our time here, so if you pay for the upgrade make sure you get it as we had to spend a night in the outdated one.
This hotel does not have anywhere to shower before your flight/travels if you have a flight booked after 11PM, when you are required to checkout. The only place to shower is at the shower by the pool, so remember to keep out some shower gel! There is also no weight scales if you need a last minute check of your luggage.
Only the deluxe rooms have a safe, physically in the room, but if you do not get the deluxe you have to use the safes in the reception. The safe is not actually fitted to a wall and could just be picked up and walked away with, so in theory takes the theory of having a safe pointless, but it is free of charge, unlike some places.
Overall, we had such a good time in Theologos, travelling around the island. The hotel is probably more suited for couples/adults wanting to chill out and relax during their stay rather than families, whereas the hotel down the road is more lively and probably more suited to families with kids as it has activities etc, which you do not get at Nirvana. The sunset is so easy to watch from the beach, which is a 2 minute walk, or from the dining area at the hotel and makes for a good spot to relax. I would recommend people to stay here, but would maybe look at other potential hotels on the island first…
Currently sat in the airport waiting for our flight home after the BEST week at Nirvanna Beach Hotel.
Lovely staff, amazing food, very friendly atmosphere, great pool and always loungers free for a sunbathe. We really can’t fault the place!
Handy info: • All Inclusive is A La Carte table service, incredible meals and very good at catering to me as a gluten free girly • Air Con is 8€ per day, paid at the end of your stay along with the 6€ p/d tax • Cocktails included in the All Inclusive bundle • A bus into Rhodes old town is 3.50€ each way from just down the road, a taxi is about 38€. Both take about 45mins. • Hotel is only 5/10mins from the airport in a much quieter part of Rhodes. For nightlife and busy areas go to Old Town or Faliraki • We were allowed to store luggage and continue to use the hotel’s pool and All Inclusive mood all day before our flight. Check out is 11am :)
The food was good and the staff were excellent.location was decent it's a quiet area so exactly what I wanted. The shower was horrendous and the room was from the 70s. I would avoid booking here again unless the rooms were improved.
Had a wonderful.week stay at Nirvana. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to help us if needed. My mums wheelchair was broken on arrival and they called their handyman to come back (had only just left) and he immediately came back and fixed it with no issues.
The food was lovely. We did all inclusive. It is not buffet style but set menu for lunch and dinner. But all the dishes were tasty..it stated they do not cater for Gluten free. However, I emailed a few weeks before to advise of my daughters gluten allergy and once there, they were amazing at providing us with lovely alternatives. They even got GF Bread and pasta.
We had 3 rooms and one of which was the superior room (an upgrade) and these were very modern the standard rooms are basic but clean. We would probably stay in the superior rooms next time as we like a modern fresh look in general. The pool although small was lovely and never got busy the time we were there. Plenty of loungers too.
The beach is a short stroll from the hotel. ..its quite stoney so bring beach shoes. There is water sports available here. Jet skies, wind surfing and paddle board hire.
There is a supermarket within walking distance.....very reasonable priced and had everything you need.
We spent one evening at the Beach Bar, which had a lovely vibe and can imagine during the day is even better.
The hotel itself is about 40 mins by car to Rhodes town but there is a bus stop near to the hotel which are cheap to go on approx (€4 each way). We went by taxi and it cost 55 one way (there was 8 of us)
There is an excursion office opposite the supermarket where you can book boat or coach trips around the island all of which are reasonably priced.
All.in all we had a fantastic time and would definitely come back to this Hotel.
Nice location and a smaller more family like hotel. The staff Are very helpful and friendly. Pool is nice and clean. The standard of the rooms are low standard and many things needs to be fixed. Fx doors that cant close etc. The food in all inclusive is not buffet which we found to be very nice. Especially breakfast. For lunch and dinner the food is okay but not that exiting.
