- Daedalus Hotel

This recently refurbished hotel is very well located beside the cathedral, approximately 200 metres from the centre of Fira. Within the area guests will be able to find a number of leisure and nightlife options, as well as a variety of taverns and restaurants of local character. This is a perfect place to stay if guests wish to experience the more lively side of the island.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The lady at the snack bar at the pool gets a 100/10. She was the best hospitality ambassador you could ever wish for. She was friendly, energetic, and so helpful. She greeted us with the brightest smile and friendliest βhelloβ
On a busy road a short walk from the center of Fira. My room was small but comfortable. I had a tiny balcony but it had space for a small table and 2 chairs. Things were tight, with limited space for my toiletries by the bathroom sink. No washcloths or tissues. The breakfast buffet, reached by going outside and down at the end of the pool, then down a flight of stairs, was nice, with some interesting choices. There was a coffee machine, but they will make you fresh Greek coffee upon request. There is a large pool and the pool area is lovely, with plenty of lounge chairs. Some units (not mine) have private plunge pools with jets.
Lovely quiet location with a supermarket and pharmacy opposite, short walk to main attractions. Hotel staff very friendly, clean and quiet. Pool area beautiful and relaxing. Would stay with friends again, reasonably priced.
This little gem of a hotel was exactly what we needed for our 5-night mini-moon (although before the wedding becauseβ¦..why not?! π) stay in Santorini. Perfectly situated, itβs close enough to walk into Fira town, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel peaceful and relaxing.
It was our first time visiting Santorini, and we absolutely loved it. We would happily stay at Daedalus again.
The hotel was delightful: beautifully kept, with simple, clean and comfortable rooms, and staff who were consistently friendly, attentive and welcoming.
A special mention has to go to Yannis on reception, who couldnβt have been more welcoming. He recommended a fantastic catamaran cruise, giving us the chance to see some of the island from the sea. We opted for the afternoon cruise into the evening, finishing with the sunset, and it was absolutely brilliant. Everything was very well organised and the food on board was delicious. It was one of the highlights of our stay.
And then thereβs Chrisβ¦ π
Chris was amazing. He seemed to work tirelessly, starting in the breakfast hall before heading straight over to the pool bar for his next shift, right through until closing. Despite the long hours, he was always so friendly, helpful and attentive.
One little moment really sums him up. One day, I was lying on my front on the sunbed, trying to read, but the wind kept blowing the pages of my book around. I also wanted to hold a hand fan to cool myself down, so I was rather short of hands! π Chris spotted my dilemma and brought me a heavy stone to hold the pages of my book open. It was such a small thing, but it made me smile. Itβs those little touches and the willingness to go the extra mile for guests that really make a difference β and we genuinely appreciated it.
Thank you, Daedalus, for such a lovely stay. You gave us exactly the relaxing little mini-moon we were hoping for, and we loved every minute of it. ππ¬π·
Comfortable and relaxing place to enjoy in Fira. Very friendly and efficient staff, specially Chris, who was very helpful and nice.
