Costa Grand Resort and Spa

My girlfriend and I stayed for six nights at the Costa Grand in August 2026. We had a room right by the sea with a private pool. We had a wonderful time. The sea breeze and the sunrise views instantly relax you. The hotel is immaculately clean and beautifully run, the staff are polite and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The food is excellent, although we would have liked to have seen more fresh seafood on the half board package. I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the aircraft, yes, the hotel is very close to the runway, and flights coming into land literally come over the hotel, but we actually found it quite a novelty, trying to guess which airline the plane belongs to! It is not nearly as bad as you might think and it does not disturb you at night. One piece of advice, although it is right by the beach, it is not really a swimming beach, which is a shame, the water is beautiful and exactly the right temperature, but the fact is that it is somewhat hazardous trying to get in or out of the water because of the rocks. If the sea is at all rough, you simply can’t see where you are going and you can fall over and injure yourself. My advice would be to purchase a pair of beach shoes, which provide more grip, and a pair of goggles, and go down flat on your tummy so you can see exactly what is underneath you until you get into deeper water.

The choice of restaurants and bars will blow you away. Airport is 10 minutes away in taxi The airplanes will have you looking at each one that comes in land fascinating to see and few and far between the rooms are soundproof as you don’t hear anything. Have lunch at the hotel and drinks during the day really tasty. Tip € cash is king in Greece so bring lots not that that it’s expensive I found it the same price as back here or a little bit cheaper.

My wife and daughter had stayed at the Costa Grand Resort and Spa a couple of years ago and recommended that we had a holiday there, so we went ahead and booked an eight night stay for three guests in two rooms. We contacted the hotel before travelling and requested that the rooms be close together and were delighted to find that the rooms were adjoining with adjoining balconies. At this point it is worth highlighting that the service from the staff in the reception was exemplary. They appeared confident and any queries were handled professionally and courteously. We booked transfers and car hire through the hotel. Our good sized rooms were scrupulously clean and were kept that way daily by the cleaning staff. The grounds of the hotel were also cleaned to a high standard. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast with hot and cold food, a good selection of fruit and plenty of Greek items. There were plenty of pools dotted around the resort and plenty of beds on the beach. Unfortunately the beach at this end of Kamari is quite rough and stony so some kind of beach shoes is required. This did not impact greatly on our beach experience. The Costa Grand sits at the end of the Kamari promenade. A very long stretch of mostly great tavernas stretch before you and that does not include the many excellent ones in the streets away from the beach. We had a great time discovering some gems in our eight days in Kamari. We all thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Costa Grand and will most certainly be returning there in the future.
