Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Stayed for 5 nights and what an amazing hotel and location! The rooms were cleaned every day, and the pool was also cleaned and tested daily. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was great. Checking in and out was so easy and hassle-free. The view from our balcony across the bay was absolutely beautiful. I could have sat and looked at it every day — it was so relaxing. We booked the hotel last minute and felt the value for money was excellent for what we paid. There was a lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, and the noise level at night was very low, which made it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep. The only thing to be aware of is that the walk to the old town is quite steep and there are a lot of stairs. However, you can get a taxi for around €4, or the hotel has a shuttle service that runs every hour to the old town, so getting around is still very easy. Overall, we had a fantastic 5-night stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We would happily stay here again!
We booked in Cerro Mar Colina…we was half board so we had to go to Cerro Mar garden for food which wasn’t a problem…we had a room on the 5th floor which had a great sea view…room was very spacious with all the facilities in the kitchen also with a washing machine..pools where ok but looking abit tired …some areas in need of tlc so I wouldn’t say that this complex is a 4 star more a 3 star …the area itself is on a hill which isn’t for people who struggle with this …but there is a free bus up and down at certain times which we used also we had a taxi at night back at night.Food was very good there’s not lots of choice but really nice what we had so no complaints….You can hire towels for a deposit of 10 euros which you get back at the end of your stay…there is a spa and large pool in the other complex which you can use either…drinks are a normal priced and would recommend the Sangria in the bar…great holiday as it was our first time in Portugal we would recommend the old town..lots of bars and nice restaurants to eat.
Located on a steep hill with slippery path ways. Was in the apartments across from main hotel. Room 211 looked out over a dead end road and could only see the sea though the neighbours washing across the road. Pool not too small and fairly quiet. You'd be lucky to get a sunbed in the main big pool if your not up early ,the towel situation is still a thing. Apartment was clean but the person who has to try sleep on the sofa really is not great.... very very uncomfortable id want 4 beds if i ever went there again
Hotel in a good location, lots around to do but away from the noise of the restaurants and bars. Our room was a good size, lots of wardrobe space and the sofa bed was comfy. Large fridge freezer, oven, kettle, coffee machine. There was also a dishwasher and washing machine but we didn’t use.
To improve, the hotel could do with a good deep clean, partially the pool area. Also, it was very difficult to get sunbeds as people would leave their towels overnight and not use them until after midday! Only 1 day did a member of staff move them off. Some of the sunbeds were also broken and unusable.
Is worth getting a taxi/bolt for around €4 for a day trip to a slightly further away beach. These are quieter and more picturesque.
Overall, I’ll give 4 stars to this hotel. Stay overall was enjoyable.
Absolutely poor service, I emailed hotel prior to travel asking for my room to be available from mid day as I was travelling with 2 children. Upon arrival my room was not ready however a group off 4 men arrived and where allocated there room within 45 mins. Staff not very helpful at all by this point I was the last to be provided with a room. Never again coming back. If you have children I would avoid unless you have a late arrival
