Occupying a convenient position, close to Fisherman's Beach and the centre of Albufeira Old Town, the Hotel do Cerro is a family run hotel which offers stunning panoramic views of the Mountains and the Bay of Albufeira. A range of shops, bars and restaurants are close at hand while there is also a bus stop 30 meters from the hotel with connections to other parts of the Algarve.
The Hotel do Cerro has an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a terrace perfect for sunbathing with sun loungers and sunshades. There is also an indoor pool and wellness centre which includes massage, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish Bath and a Fitness Room at an additional cost.
The hotel's buffet restaurant offers a traditional breakfast and while dinner consists of a mouth-watering array of Mediterranean and International cuisine. A la carte dining is also available on the do Cerro's roof Terrace which offers spectacular views of the city, mountains and sea (payable locally). Meals will either offer a buffet or set during Winter dependent on occupancy.
During the day, a selection of drinks and light meals are available from the Hotel do Cerro's pool terrace as well as in the poolside Restaurant and Bar. Wi-Fi is available for free in the public areas. In the evenings we suggest you head to the hotel's bar for a relaxing drink. Entertainment and live music are also on offer for you to enjoy. Twin rooms at the Hotel do Cerro are air-conditioned and comfortably furnished. All rooms have a balcony or terrace and come equipped with flat-screen satellite TV, telephone, safe*, minibar* and free Wi-Fi. Side Seaview and Seaview rooms are available for a supplement.

Hotel do cerro
Location was very close to Old Town which was a plus. Room amenities were basic for a 4 star hotel, No iron in room , no kettle(chargeable} safe useable if you pay for the lock to lock it... charging 2 euros per day, the best were so hard and uncomfortable i nicknamed them slabs and didnt have a good time sleeping in them. Spa, gym both had extra charges to use and the indoor pool could only be used if you wore a swim cap and of course they were available at an extra charge from reception, Hotel bar only open from 4 pm. we opted for breakfast only & when going for food we had to wait to be seated so we couldn't choose where we sat and we got given tiny slips of paper to tick off what we wanted from a limited choice foodwise and they got the food for you which i have never encountered in a 4 star hotel before as usually its a buffet style and you can browse before choosing what you want and the plates the food came on were not much bigger than saucers so all in all not the best choice of places to stay.

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Do Cerro❤️ My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Do Cerro. From the beautiful sea views and spotless room to the amazing breakfast, fantastic pool and genuinely friendly staff, there was so much to love about this hotel. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and would happily return! Location: The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town and the beach. There is a fairly steep hill to walk up on your return, but we didn’t mind it — it is what it is, and we actually enjoyed the walks. There’s an Intermarché convenience store about five minutes down the hill, which we used regularly. Or a cheaper option, Aldi and Lidl is around a 20-minute walk away, or about €3 by Bolt. There’s a hop-on hop-off tourist train stop about 15 metres from the hotel, with routes to the Old Town, Marina and The Strip. An all-day pass cost €9. Room: Our room was incredibly clean and had a lovely terrace with beautiful sea views. There was also a mini chiller (not a fridge), which was perfect for keeping our drinks, cheese and fruit cold. The room was cleaned every day, and the bathroom was always spotless. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job — thank you! Entertainment: There was evening entertainment in the main bar area that was pretty cool, and Armen the Barman was always happy to crack a joke while serving you drinks. Breakfast: Breakfast was one of our favourite things about the hotel! We enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t wait to get up the next morning for it. Rather than a buffet, you select what you want from a list. We absolutely loved this and everything we had was delicious. I also have to mention Ricardo, who always made us laugh at breakfast. He would tease me every morning saying, "No more dancing, dance after breakfast!" One morning, he actually caught me dancing in my chair! 😂 It became a running joke between us and really added to the fun, friendly atmosphere. Moments like that made us feel so welcome, and we’ll definitely remember them. Thank you, Ricardo! Pool & Food: The pool was fantastic. We spent a full eight hours one day relaxing, sunbathing swimming and listening to some great old skool sounds coming from the pool speakers. The pool bar was great, and the Chicken club sandwiches are by far the best I've ever had! 😋 Fitness Room: As I work in the fitness industry, my partner and I also made good use of the fitness room. It costs €5 to use and has an All-in-one station, Treadmills, StairMaster, Elliptical, Cycles, Dumbbells up to 10 kg and 2x 25kg Plates. Although the equipment is fairly minimal, we still managed some great full-body workouts and cardio sessions. There was always clean towels available, and Claudia would open the gym for us whenever I phoned to say we were ready. Thank you, Claudia! We also used the Indoor pool on our last day. We paid €5 each for a shower cap, and I managed to get some laps in! Overall: All of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a lovely atmosphere, and we really enjoyed our time here. We would highly recommend Hotel Do Cerro and would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel
Great value considering it’s the English school holidays. Hotel is situated around 10 mins walk steeply down to the main old Albufeira area which is very lively but good choices for all ages.
Hotel is wonderful. We were on 2nd floor with partial sea view. Plenty of space. My 17yo Daughter and her friend had a separate room overlooking the pool. Again it was a good room.
Hotel and rooms sparkling clean. Rooms cleaned most days. Staff were amazing. So friendly.
We were b&b. Breakfasts were really good. No buffet but they give you a tick box ticket where you can tick anything from toast, sausages/bacon to eggs, beans, fruit, yoghurt. Plus they provide a basket of rolls and croissants. Coffees exceptional. Tea not so good.
Pool approx 20m long and very clean. Towels were not allowed on beds until 10am but there was never a rush at 10am.
Overall I’d definitely return to this hotel if returning to Albufeira.
Beach is clean. €20 for parasol and 2 beds.
Finally…. If you are a golfer and want to treat yourself, take an €6 uber to Salgados golf. Club hire, a round plus buggy and 15 balls were €175. Quite steep but it’s a great waterlined course in superb condition.

Brilliant quirky hotel very clean and wonderful staff!
What a little gem of a hotel - clean comfortable exceptional staff who were friendly and welcoming - the pool area is just lovely and no worries about getting a sun bed - we loved it here - the hills are quite tricky in the heat but we got Ubers and taxis very cheap even a tuk tuk which was so much fun! Highly recommend for a lovely relaxing break!
Amazing time at this hotel
Just returned from a week here and we had such a wondeful stay, we did'nt want to come home. The hotel is beautiful keeping its portugese charm and rustic look. Very clean and well kept, cleaners came in every day and towels were changed reguarly. Never had a problem getting a sunbed. The staff in every area of the hotel were some of the friendliest i have seen abroad. Breakfast we could'nt fault, a check list of what you would like and very tasty. Never had a problem getting an extra cup of tea if we wanted one. My advice if your wanting more than one of something mark the order form to how many. If i could suggest anything it would be that breakfast finished a little later maybe 11am and a kettle in the room. They are only available to hire. I took my own. There is a nice bar with a terrace and a view of the sea to enjoy a drink before heading out. Lots of nice restaurants in the town about 10 min walk downhill, uphill coming back. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back, already recomended to family and friends.
