Won’t be back.
If you like lots of school children screaming in and around the pool then this is the place for you! Never seen so many British kids in a hotel during school term. The language of one in particular was disgusting, the fact the parents did nothing to stop it says a lot about the families coming here I’m afraid. I appreciate not all families let their children act like that but this was one too many. The lure of All Inc to these parents is obviously more important than their child’s education. It’s not the hotels fault, it has a lot going for it. Why does the children’s inclusive restaurant open an hour earlier than the adults only? 8.30pm is just too late, who thought of this ridiculous policy? The restaurants are also far too noisy, not relaxing at all. Sadly we won’t be returning.

Alvor Baia Sept holiday.
Excellent hotel staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful. Rooms very spacious, comfortable and very clean. Location was very good hotel has a complementary bus to and from the beach every hour. Pool was huge and never had any problems finding a sunbed at any time of the day. Food was very good with different themes each day. Two restaurants one dedicated to adults only. Good choice of drinks in both bars . Highly recommend this hotel will definitely go again 👍

Great hotel
Loved the hotel, exceptional clean,huge room and balcony and food was great, 2 restaurants, over 12 years and another for younger children Great pool and always managed to get a sunbed in the afternoon Hotel bus to the beach, not to actual Alvor just the beach, the start of the 3 miles of it! Alvor about in the middle. 20 mins walk, lovely nature reserve for plenty of walking and different parts of the beach Great location, Lagos one side and Praia da Rocha the other, found all 3 land trains, the one in Alvor actually picked up from hotel and did a couple of drops back €5 each Super boc beer, cocktails were awful, from a machine!! Entertainment wasn't good, only had 1 good night after that awful, karaoke and name that song to me is not entertainment 🤷 Have booked for next year as it is great, apart from Entertainment but that's not everything for us

Nice stay.
This review is just my opinion...everybody's idea of a great holiday is different but this is what we thought....pros...the rooms are a great size with large balconies...although ours overlooked the car park with distant mountain views. The cleanliness is spot on, the staff were always cleaning and our room was kept immaculate, bed made up every day, fresh towels most days, the public areas are also very clean. The location of the hotel was great...about 15 minute leisurely walk into the lovely town of Alvor. The pool is huge with loads of sunbeds. Most of the drinks were ok...the wine was nice and the sparkling wine was lovely. . Cons...most of the cocktails were not good, the AI indoor bar had absolutely no atmosphere, the decent indoor bar , which had lovely cocktails and premium drinks, was chargeable which in my opinion should be included in the AI. PoolTowels could only be changed every 4 days, the bathroom had no magnifying makeup mirror (a must for us ladies). No kettle even though the rooms are apartment style. No iron...so make sure you take travel kettle and iron. The food was ok...not much choice but the salads were nice. The entertainment was not good, except the night they had a live singer, We would probably return because the pros outweighed the cons and it could be a fabulous hotel but i do think some of the above cons should be noted and rectified.

Very clean, brilliant staff
Location is just ok.. you're directly opposite a hospital so the inland view doesn't offer much. Alvor itself is maybe a 10+ minute walk away.. with a free bus to the beach and the little touristy road train thingy also calls at the hotel door.
Our room was a family suite composing of a double bed, bathroom, separate living area with single bed and kitchenette. Basic but very clean. Cleaning staff brilliant and friendly. The hotel always smells amazing everything was very fresh and clean inside and outside our room.
Pool area is fantastic.. the pool is clean and huge! There was loads of space for us and never felt like anyone was in your space at all.. some activities at the pool like water polo , darts and the roll a mat onto the water to try and run across etc. there is loads of events and games during the day archery/ padel / bingo/ quiz / aqua aerobics etc never took part in anything personally due to my yound child but looked good!
Pool is almost too big for its own good tho, it lacks a little atmosphere or at least it did when I was there. The PA system they use for announcements for events doesn't really serve the pool area well so you couldn't hear exactly what was going on. Same for music they were playing, if you were near the kids pool you wouldn't really hear any music.
Entertainment I can't comment on as with our child it was mostly an early night and the entertainment didn't start to 9.30 which compared to some other places I've started was a little late imo. However I did experience the mini disco with my child to which I would say that it was one of the worst kids discos I've experienced both as an adult and as as child myself.
11 minutes it lasted on one of the nights with around 4 songs played. A guest did complain about this and subsequently the following disco the next night was a lot better running for 25 mins. They do seem to substitute the mini disco the odd night with a Mini Movie. Personally I didn't bring my child on holiday to sit and watch a projector so for me this was a let down.
Food was ok, we stayed half board with breakfast and dinner. Breakfast I couldn't fault it however the dinner felt a little repetitive.
They have a Portuguese night, Algarvian night, chefs buffet, tropical night, barbecue night and can't remember any others. I always got enough on my plate but I was slightly disappointed by it and in to be honest, probably (unfairly) because my last hotel in tenerife the food was outstanding 10/10 I had the bar set so high I sort of wanted the same. Food was totally acceptable though by no means bad food, staff were fantastic in the 'Green' restaurant and again the place was always spotless.
Overall a decent hotel, fantastic great staff, very clean, great pool decent food, location and atmosphere in the area to be desired wouldn't be somewhere id suggest if you're looking for a party.
