Helpful front desk and confidently located
To say it bluntly, you pay for the price of the convenience of where this hotel is located. Its right alongside the marina with safe walking distance to either side of the marina and a short 10-12 minute walk into Old Town where all the restaurants are! Theres plenty of great dinner places in the area and I always felt safe walking in the area at all times of the day.
Rooms are on the smaller side but as mentioned you pay the premium on the location. Rooftop pool is small but nice and not very crowded (at least in the afternoon when I went). I felt breakfast was just okay, small "buffet" spread and unlike other hotel breakfasts they open at 8 am which was often late especially for morning excursions.
Special shoutout to Ekaterina at the front desk! She was super helpful, informative and gave great recommendations for things to do and dining options in the area. She also provided me with a very helpful map the fiest day of my stay!
WARNING
DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!! The hotel may look beautiful in the pictures, but our experience was absolutely terrible. We booked this hotel through Amex Platinum Travel and had to arrive a day late because of unexpected airport issues. After spending $200 on an Uber just to get here, we arrived to find no one available to help with our luggage. The woman working at the front desk was extremely rude and told us that we could not stay at the property because my son is 11 years old and the minimum age is 12. We were offered the option to stay at one of their other properties, but those are not the water-view locations we specifically booked this hotel for. What makes this even more frustrating is that they told us we would still be charged for the original reservation because it was considered a no-show, even though we were physically standing there trying to check in. They basically told us there was nothing they could do. How does that make any sense? We will absolutely be contacting Amex to dispute this and will be making sure they are aware of this experience. A beautiful property means nothing when the customer service is this awful. Terrible experience. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else

Amazing boutique hotel - great staff and food
Fabulous little boutique hotel- the staff have found an amazing balance between helping you and leaving you to relax we really felt they listened and acted on request. It has a great atmosphere probably more suited to adults. The food is amazing we booked breakfast but the experience was that of a restaurant so give yourself lots of time in the morning and definitely try the French toast! The rooms were great we had a larger balcony with 2 full loungers on floor 1 . The location is 1010 and it is great to sit in the rooftop pool watching the boats come in and the bridge lift up and down . My new favourite place in Portugal 🇵🇹
Overall a nice hotel in Lagos and we enjoyed our stay
The hotel was in a great location and since we didn’t have a rental car that was important to us. The hotel was really nice and the rooms were large. It included a really nice breakfast each morning with buffet items and also a menu that you could order off of (eggs, French toast, etc). My husband had a cold and didn’t come down for breakfast one morning and I was able to bring him up a tray of food. The wait staff was all really great. The pool was nice. I really liked the hotel, but the front desk people all seemed very cold and not friendly at all which I didn’t like. I went a few times with questions and each time got a very quick response like they couldn’t be bothered to actually provide the information. On the morning of our checkout I asked if we could possibly have a late checkout even just for 1 of our 2 rooms (we only wanted an additional hour) and I was quickly told no without any check on the computer about bookings, etc. I wasn’t surprised at all and they obviously don’t need to give a later checkout, but many hotels will accommodate if they aren’t fully booked. The only other thing to be aware of about the hotel is that the toilet and shower were very open in the room! There was a sheer curtain, but not a lot of privacy. My 17 year old daughter and 19 year old son were sharing a room so one would go to the balcony and hang out there while the other showered. They made it work, but it was a little strange!

Absolutely wonderful! Comfortable beds, spacious room. Balcony to enjoy our coffee on. Great location and breakfast was delicious.
