The hotel is located just 120 metres from the Monte Gordo Beach, and 300 metres from the town centre, with its numerous shops, cafés and restaurants. There are public transportation links just 200 metres from the hotel. Attractions in the area include zoos, water parks, theme parks and exciting excursions or boat trips. Faro Airport lies 60 km. The hotel offers cosy guest rooms with modern furniture and craft traditions in a warn tone. All air-conditioned rooms come with Interactive smart TV, minibar, safe box and toiletries. This hotel has a poolside restaurant and cafe bar. There is also a live music program.

I stayed here for two weeks at the end of September on a package booked through Jet2. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. I stayed in room 209 which had a sea view. The first night I had a problem with ants in my room, I reported it to the receptionist and within a few minutes the problem was sorted successfully and didn't recur. My room was spacious but due to the style of the decor, I found it very dark and I needed all the lights on whenever I was in the room. The remote control for the air con did not work so I had to switch it on or off on the main unit. However it did work when my key card wasn't inserted so I had it on when I was out too. Unfortunately I had to switch it off if I wanted to sit on the balcony as it was incredibly noisy. Like many hotel rooms, there was insufficient storage - only one drawer and limited hanging space and nowhere to store a suitcase. There is a fancy coffee machine that uses pods, 4 were supplied but not replaced (a sign said you could buy them from reception) but as I was staying for 2 weeks, this felt mean. I unplugged the machine and used my travel kettle which worked better for me. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Bedding and towels were changed several times during my stay. I had booked B&B and the buffet breakfast suited me with plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt and lovely bread. There were cooked options too, but I can't comment on them as I didn't try them. Things were constantly replenished during breakfast and there always seemed to be plenty of choice. The pool is very small with only 10 sunloungers. But there is additional space on the seating area on the first floor. The pool isn't particularly attractive and the steps leading into the pool are very slippery and not suitable for anyone elderly or disabled. They could do with replacing really. I never had a problem getting a lounger by the pool as even though the hotel was full, it was never too busy there. The bar area was lovely and was always busy. I enjoyed coming back to the hotel after my evening meal to have a drink in the bar. I would stay here again if I were to return to Monte Gordo.
Nice hotel with extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Nicely located, just minutes from the beach and the centre of Monte Gordo. Relaxed atmosphere. Limited but nice breakfast. Didn't dine in the hotel but there are plenty of good eateries nearby with a special mention to the Blue Parrot just across the road. Rooms are clean reasonably spacious with differing views over square or street. Small pool with limited space for sunbeds. Lots of guests seem to be repeat customers. Majority of guests seem to be of the older generation. Noise levels were low apart from the last night when an aggressive guest (younger at about late 20s) seemed to think it was ok to have a heated shouting discussion with the night porter. Guest was in the wong, the porter was merely doing his job in keeping the hotel secure. All in all a very nice stay in a pleasant hotel in a very nice resort.
Convenient location to a stunning beach.Everything is within walking distance. The room was okay but infested with insects and very dirty. The lazy cleaners did not clean which resulted being covered in insect bites. Despite speaking to the front of house clerk who was very apologetic and nothing changed. Was glad to leave on the fourth night. Such a shame as it was a lovely hotel and convenient for the beach. Would love to go back but it is very unhygienic.
This was my third stay at the Casablanca Hotel, last visit was about ten years ago - too long! I can honestly say it was as great as ever! I remembered it as a small and friendly place and this hasn’t changed. We were greeted by Carina on arrival and she’s a lovely welcoming person. All the staff are very helpful. Although it’s not super fancy, our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed - very glad of the fridge and air con!
The buffet breakfast is very good, plenty of choice and regularly topped up.
Although the pool area is small, we didn’t have issues getting a lounger. The pool was clean and maintained every day. There’s a snack bar available if you get peckish later!
Monte Gordo isn’t a big resort, which is what we love about it. The beach is super and is just a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel. There’s an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants nearby too. If you have (or are with someone who has) limited mobility, Monte Gordo is ideal as it’s mostly flat (other resorts can be quite hilly) and shops, restaurants etc are close by.
All in all we’re very sad to be leaving Unique Hotel Casablanca, Monte Gordo and hope to return very soon.
Again a fantastic stay at my favourite hotel in montegirdo , great atmosphere lovely people , thanks once again ❤️
