Estrela Da Luz

Lovely big apartment with everything you'll need for a family holiday from a fully equipped kitchen to dishwasher tablets, pegs, coffee pods, drying rack just 5-10 minute walk to the beach. They even supplied 2 bottles of water and 2 cartons of fresh milk which was a nice surprise which meant we could have a drink as soon as we arrived. Two balconies, one overlooking the pools and one looking out to sea. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice from eggs, sausages, bacon to roasted vegetables, cereals, ham/cheese/ rolls, croissants, pastries, yoghurts and sliced fresh fruit, got to stay it was the best breakfast we've had in a European hotel and the staff are very welcoming. The apartment was really clean but our only issue was the cleaners clean at strange times for a holiday location. The outdoor pools are lovely but we used the indoor pool, jacuzzi more for a proper swim etc which was great. We would recommend the apartments if you want the convenience of a nice breakfast but then want to prepare some food for yourselves for the rest of the day - there was a spar down the road and a lidl about a 10 min drive away. We would definitely stay there again if we were to return to Portugal.

We stayed in Estrela Da Luz from Jul 29 to August 7. As a family of 6 we booked the 4 bedroom sea view apartment. Everything from the moment we arrived to check in to our departure was fantastic. Staff were friendly and polite and very helpful. The quality of the apartment and cleanliness was exceptional. We have stayed in a lot of different places both in Portugal and Spain and this was by far one of the best. We had our 4 children with us, aged 19, 16, 12 and 6 and all of them had a great holiday. The pool areas are well maintained and clean, we had no problem accessing pool beds daily. We greatly appreciated the availability of pool towels. We had the breakfast option included and enjoyed the selection of food available every day. The snack bar was so handy for coffee's, ice cream, drinks and snacks. The air conditioning in the apartment was excellent as was the quality of sheets and towels and overall cleanliness. We really appreciated having the washing machine and washing tablets provided. Everything we could possibly need was there. We were able to easily walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants within minutes. This is a resort I cannot wait to return to again, we did not want to leave to come home, but I can honestly say we were able to thoroughly relax on this holiday and enjoy the facilities.
