Set beside the scenic marina in Portimão, NH Marina Portimão Resort offers a relaxing base to enjoy the laid-back beach life of the Algarve. Just under 45 kilometres from Faro Airport, the resort is perfectly positioned near Praia da Rocha beach, and within easy reach of local shops, restaurants, and family attractions. On-site parking adds to the convenience for those exploring the coast by car.
The resort is divided into three areas – Marina Sun, Marina Deck, and Marina Beach – all within walking distance of the pools, restaurants, and bars. If you’d rather not walk, a complimentary buggy service is available to take you comfortably around the resort, including to and from Praia da Rocha.
There are three outdoor saltwater pools, including one large main pool, and one for children, surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas. Guests can also make use of the 24hr on-site gym, while younger travellers will enjoy the seasonal children’s club and entertainment.
Start your day with a generous breakfast showcasing local Portuguese flavours, served fresh each morning. The main restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, offering a menu of seasonal dishes made with quality ingredients. Went as our holiday to Sicily was cancelled due to Mount Etna.
Hotel is comfortable. Excellent breakfast offering and really friendly and attentive staff who couldn’t do enough.
Sadly the tea and coffee in the rooms was disappointing but didn’t spoil the holiday.
Another wonderful stay at NH Marina
With regards to Location and views of Marina, the beach and Ferraguedo you cannot beat this hotel. It is magnificent and my family and I have been here about 10 times now. Location is near the Marina Beach and all shops, retail units. In addition the busy area of Prai da Rocha is just a short walk away

Sat nite dinner
Humberto looked after us very well total gent. Food excellent best langoustine ive had... surf n turf excellent. So chilled laid back lovely sea view .

T-bone restaurant
T-bone restaurant was really good the worker Humberto was really good at his job and so where the others today the food was amazing and I loved the steak

Fabulous family stay
About 1 hr drive from the airport via Uber which we booked in advance and saved money as was much cheaper then taxis. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment facing the marina which was honestly the best view you could ask for and it really ticked all the boxes. Staff were very helpful, check in and out was a breeze with the team driving us and our bags on a golf buggy. They even assisted me to locate my phone I left in an uber.
Breakfast was fantastic. The kids loved the pancake station and the offering was vast with a superb marina view, yet again. Our apartment was big and spacious with all that you would need. It felt very private and quiet. The bathroom could do with an update and deep clean but we were able to look past this when everything else was so practical, accommodating and easy to access.
Local restaurants were very close and in view from our balcony and the beautiful beach was just around the corner … and was massive! There was also a couple of shops on the doorstep that stocked the essentials. The town was around a 15 min walk up quite a lot of steps but it was all beautiful and worth the walk. There was plenty of options around the hotel/beach even if you chose not to walk to the strip.
The salt water swimming pool was fab. Perfect for children as all one depth. Lots of sun beds available and I was so impressed that people didn’t selfishly reserve the sun beds with their towels.
Pool side Resaurant served pizzas and toasties which were reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend this hotel / destination, we really did have a fabulous relaxing stay
