Pool area
Hotel is clean, staff friendly and breakfast good. However, not sure if it’s the time of year but the pool area has a big problem with small flies. You cannot relax properly due to this. I’m wondering if the hotel could do something to reduce the fly problem by the pool?
The staff let this hotel down
Lovely hotel and the food is great but unfortunately the staff let the hotel down. Reception staff rude and dismissive. Unfortunately not the five star service you expect when you have paid a lot of money. We simply asked for the shuttle bus to Maria’s restaurant which is right by the beach where it takes you to anyway to simply be told very abruptly “no” simply no need for attitude, what happened to good customer service? Ordered food at the pool bar and only half of our meals turned up, then when questioned staff said it is because we didn’t pay at the bar, although we ordered the day before all received our meals and paid at the end no problem? Again no apology just unfortunately the man and woman at the pool bar appearing fed up and blaming each other for the mistakes made. Would not return purely for the fact that the staff do not provide the service of a five star resort.

Rooms could do with upgrading and renovation but overall the experience was excellent
It’s pricey but they can get the rate especially at peak season.
Its proximity to all the top restaurants and villamoura is a huge bonus

Nice hotel - but extra charges for beach lounger and water in room
Old hotel but very clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable Staff at reception ok - didn’t explain a lot at check in Pool boys very efficient and friendly Room service fast - food OK - nothing special. Shuttle to beach available but at the hotel beach I was asked 25 euros for sun lounger even as a hotel guest unless you come after 4 pm. Water bottles ( 1 large, 3 small) complimentary a arrival in room but that’s it - you need to pay for water (5 euros for a large bottle) remainder of the stay Pool area and pool nice Nothing to do in the area - car needed to go to a shop - “shopping square” about 10 min drive away with clothes shops, supermarket, bars / restaurants

Amazing 🤩
Just returned from a short weekend break to this fabulous hotel. Absolutely spotless. Can’t believe some of the previous reviews saying about some of the staff “ rude and unfriendly “, we found the complete opposite!! Staff couldn’t do enough to make our holiday so enjoyable. Don’t hesitate to to book, we will definitely return
