Our first time staying here and to be honest we probably won't visit again.

The food, all though tasty there was not enough to choose from and most of the dishes didn't match to make a full meal. There was also no drinks service you had to get your drink from the bar on the way into the restaurant, the only time you could get drinks in the restaurant was at breakfast from the machines.

The room was very nice, but a bit strange having the sink separate to the toilet, having a glass door on the toilet, also no door on the shower, and couldn't have a shower screen either due to the layout of it.

We never got to use the pool as the cue for beds was ridiculous, people started cueing up from around 7:30am when the pool doesn't even open til 9am. There was hardly any space between sunbeds and not enough parasols to go around. There were notices around stating if towels were left for longer than 30mins they would be removed, however this didn't seem to be policed by the hotel.

The bar had a good selection of drinks but often ran out of certain things which were not available then for a few days. If drinking outside, not at the pool but tables you had to drink from a really thin plastic beaker.

The staff work hard and the maid service was excellent.

We heard before we came there was a really bad sickness and diarrhea bug going round, and unfortunately we did witness a few people with it. Also catching it ourselves on our last day.

The main thing we liked about this hotel is the location being really close to the old town, however we do think there are much better hotels around this area.

Would never stay here again. Around 50% of our party had food poisoning, that was almost half the holiday gone. When I was called and asked to do a survey of my stay, they didnt want to know about the food poisoning at all.... it could only have came from the hotel as we had only eaten at the hotel by that point, however we quickly began eating our afterwards and I recommend you take enough spending money to eat out. Other guests (at least 1 in every group of people we spoke too) at the hotel were also complaining of the same illness Air con in rooms really poor, my nephews was constantly leaking and then not working, was offered a room change when he went to accept it, the room miraculously disappeared and the manager wouldnt have any of it, adamant it was working after every report and it clearly wasnt, always give it an hour ect and expected us to halt our day trip out to stick around and wait to see it the air con was working... we didn't and expressed to the manager we wouldnt be doing that as we have paid money for our tickets and lose money, when asked if any rooms would be available when we got back for him to change to if need be, they couldnt answer and the manager again reiterated it WILL be working; it didn't, room was 28 degrees when we got back to the hotel.... no spare rooms, but eventually provided a fan (but that didnt work, by this time, we gave up trying as we only had 1 night left after that night) Sun bed to people ratio is bad, but there was usually somewhere to go and sit/sunbed; without the need for the ridiculous queuing up from 7.30am. Cleaning staff are absolutely brilliant though!! Always greeted you with a smile and very polite, they should be used as an example to the waiting staff as they didn't seem very happy. Hotel location is actually good, positioned perfectly in the old town its just a shame about the some of the staff and service. Entertainment wasn't great but OK. Coffee and juice machine wasn't working for around 2 days, leaving 1 working and a long wait; there is no staff at the bar until 1030 and made it a longer process to get a cupper in the morning than it needed to be. Rooms were ok in design and spacious. Hotel is kept very clean throughout

My wife and i had been last year and had a fantastic experience but unfortunately this year our stay was not so good. I would say this is a 3 star hotel. The food was by far the worst thing about the hotel. Lots of strange fish, veal and a mixed bag of food options that dont go together. Do Not eat anything uncovered as there are lots of flies in the dining hall and they are on the food items such as the salad, cheese, ham and cold puddings. The breakfast buffet is by far the best time to eat but again only go for the hot food as there are flies on the bread and cold food. The manager expressed the food menu had not changed but it definitely has. They had peppers stuffed with cod, spinach with grapes and other strange dishes.

The sunbeds you have to queue from 8am even though access isnt until 9am. There is not a staff member monitoring this therefore people skip the queue, push and shove each other which led to arguements and shouting which can be very scary. A few people leave their towels and head out for the morning. Staff are that busy they dont notice therefor it is up to the guests to point this out. The pool itself is great, there can often be a build up of suncream but this is due to guests not using the pool side showers before entering the pool. Our room was great as advertised on website, the cleaners come everyday and change your towels everyday too. They were fantastic and lovely. If you want sunbed towels you need to ask reception and pay a 20 euro deposit.

The entertainment is very poor, only a couple of acts during the whole week are good. Most people were getting up to leave as it was so poor.

The snack bar at the pool is great the food there tastes really good. The do pizza, toasties, onion rings, cheese sticks, chips, hotdog.

The staff however are very helpful, friendly and professional. They work hard and do various jobs. Reception staff are also very helpful, their English is good and they answer any questions you have.

Very sad that we wont be returning.
