This beautiful hotel is located in Benidorm's tourist centre, only 2 km from the town centre, which is filled with boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants and nightclubs. There are public transportation links in front of the hotel and there is an excellent golf course just 12 km away. This hotel is ideal for a fun-filled, family holiday under the warm Mediterranean sun. However, hen and stag parties are not allowed at the hotel.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very Disappointing Experience Due to Misleading Information. We booked this hotel on a full board basis and specifically chose it because we were informed that gluten-free food options were available. Unfortunately, this turned out to be completely inaccurate. On arrival I was handed a bag of gluten based snacks despite my booking making my Gluten free requirements known to the hotel. Throughout our stay, there were extremely limited gluten-free choices, and on occasions there was nothing suitable for me to eat. Staff were unable to provide clear information about ingredients or offer alternative meals, which made every mealtime stressful and frustrating.Having paid for a full board package, it was incredibly disappointing to find that I was effectively unable to make use of a significant part of what we had paid for. I ended up having to call the manager at every meal time, who fetched the chef to point out any food which did not contain gluten. However despite this I still became very ill and clearly ingested gluten during my stay here. Dietary requirements are not a preference; for many people they are a necessity. Advertising gluten-free options when they are not genuinely available is misleading and can have a major impact on guests' health. The hotel itself may have some positive aspects, but the misinformation regarding gluten-free catering ruined our holiday. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone requiring a gluten-free diet unless substantial improvements are made such as accurate food labelling around ingredients and known allergens above each dish in the restaurant. Accurate information must be provided to guests before booking.
My mum and I just returned from staying in the Ambassador Playa 1 - a lovely clean, pool facing room on the 3rd floor.
Maid was in every day with fresh towels and room kept spotless. Loved the decor too.
Food was lovely and a nice selection. And it's very reasonable for drinks in the restaurant.
We really liked the entertainment at night and we did decide to stay in the hotel a few different nights instead of venturing out . And it's great they have a happy hour too.
Staff all nice especially the beach bar staff. We thought Kiko was so friendly.
Location - brilliant , Atmosphere brilliant , rooms , spotless , food brilliant , pool are brilliant , value brilliant - we visit this hotel many times during the year , we have tried others but find ourselves comparing it to this one, so far the best ( it will take some beating ) price is ok noting it’s half board so guaranteed a good meal in the evening rather that the Benidorm strip takeaway, breakfast is fantastic caters for everyone and always fresh , best poached eggs around. Back on Monday
Ambassador Playa Hotel is great. The room service is great, the food is phenomenal. The people generally working there are great, 10 of 10. Location is very good, near the beach. If you like, let's say lively nightlife, this is one of the locations that I would recommend because just across the street from the hotel, there are a lot of pubs and stores. On the other hand, nevertheless the proximity with that places, the hotel itself isolates you from the noise from the street perfectly. Our room was facing the pool and that crowded street. We didn't have any kind of noise. The hotel itself has a great music program, evergreen, country, afternoon house music, very classy, with taste. So, basically, all the possible recommendation for Ambassador Playa Hotel in Benidorm.
Love the ambassador 1, west here a couple of years ago and decided to come back, rooms are great, pool yes you have to be up with the farmers to get a lounger, the staff are fantastic and very helpful, restaurant to be fair to the staff they were brilliant but the food OMG we have been here for 8 days now and the repetitive food is mental, out of 8 days they have served Chinese curry that they call korma 4 days the same goes for the battered fish, the shepherd's pie( which changes name every time) and the roast beef is on every second day, i haven't saw any show cooking at all, very poor from the head chef, i would give the breakfast 10 out of 10 but the lunch and dinner 5 out of 10, love the ambassador but the head chef can do one.
