We came as a family of 8 and we had the most amazing time at this hotel. The food was brilliant even for a fussy eater and the staff are all helpful and friendly we will definitely return 👍 😀
The hotel was great, nice bedrooms sunny balcony (room 508) overlooking pool, good hot shower, decent aircon, the food was excellent great quality and variety at every meal and the drinks were good quality and plentiful with good bar service no excessive queues. The main pool was a bit small but plenty of sunbeds and parasols and had a smaller childrens pool with a slide and water fountain. Great seperate outdoor entertainment area for children, trampoline, bouncy castle, football court, pedal cart track, basketball hoop and small jungle gym. Downside €8 daily charge for the gym as it is part of the spa, lilos and balls are not allowed in the pool but no prior warning in the hotel information. During our stay swim rings were allowed but slightly larger ones were banned even though there was no reference to this on the displayed rules board, then half way through our stay all rings were banned with no explanation which spoiled the holiday and seemed mean spirited and uncalled for especially as small children use them to help them float / swim, surely the otherwise excellent staff could deal with this better to ensure children enjoy their holidays. The childrens club staff didn't integrate British children they organised and interacted with the majority which were Spanish children leaving a small number of British children on their own usually left colouring which was very poor service. Despite the above we had a great holiday and would recommend the hotel.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! We came with 8 adults 2 children and we all had the best time.
The staff were amazing and nothing was ever too much trouble, the hotel is kept spotless and the cleaners are all very friendly.
The food was great and always something to choose from. Also a different theme every night which was nice. They also had different entertainment every night which was lovely.
We are already looking to book again for next year!
This is quite a long review but the honesty makes it a good one !
Location was on the edge of the Old Town which was 5min dander down a hill and around a corner no bother at all.
The hotel itself was great value for money.
Decent room and this was kept spotless every day by cleaner. Fresh towels all the usuals. Air con was good which in 34 degree heat was very welcome. Superb shower to pelt off the sun lotion.
Staff were friendly and always service with a smile even when confronted by awkward customers, they remained professional. Other holiday makers were friendly and a nice atmosphere around the pool.
Food was sound and as expected on holiday. We only had one breakfast and one dinner as we tend to eat out every evening, A food truck provides fast food during the day which was fantastic.
2 pools one with 2 small slides with loungers around it. The other main pool was slightly bigger with loungers and another level just above it with more loungers.
Lifeguards were strict about balls and rubber rings etc not being used. They wanted everyone to have enough space, totally understandable.
I would recommend this hotel for a quiet family getaway.
We’ve had a fabulous family holiday at the RH Princesa, and overall we’ve really enjoyed our stay. There are some fantastic features here for children and families.
The small pool with slides for children is amazing, as is the splash park. However, one thing we weren’t aware of before arriving was that Monday to Friday, a local school/holiday club also uses the pool facilities. The children are monitored and supervised, but unfortunately this did make the pool extremely busy at times. We were paying thousands of pounds for our family holiday, so it was disappointing to see the pool become so crowded that our grandchildren eventually got out because there simply wasn’t enough space.I do feel this is something guests should perhaps be made aware of when booking.
The hotel itself is immaculately clean and the staff are absolutely lovely — friendly, helpful and always welcoming.
Our rooms were great and had adequate space for the amount of time we actually spent in them.
The food was plentiful and very good, with lots of choice. The waiters and waitresses were attentive, friendly and provided excellent service.
The biggest downside for us was the evening restaurant opening time. Dinner didn’t start until 7.30pm, which we felt was very late when travelling with young children. Most family hotels we’ve stayed at previously have offered an earlier children’s sitting, usually around 5.30pm. An earlier dining option would make a huge difference for families with younger children.
We also felt the evening entertainment started far too late. A children’s disco starting at 9.45pm is, in our opinion, far too late for young children. We really couldn’t understand why the children’s entertainment wasn’t scheduled earlier in the evening.
Apart from the timing of the evening entertainment and the issues with the pool being so busy, we’ve had a fabulous time as a family staying at the RH Princesa. The hotel is clean, the staff are wonderful, the food is good and there are some excellent facilities for children.
Overall, we’ve made some lovely family memories here — we just feel a few changes to the timings and pool arrangements would make the experience even better for families.
