🕺 lovely hotel and staff 🕺
Second holiday in hotel benalma this year all expectations were reached and more we were on the 5th floor with beach view. From start to finish the experience was very enjoyable from check in to checkout the hotel staff went over and above. Food was of a high standard and always fresh and warm enjoyed the outside breakfast sitting. Special thankyou to the bar staff especially Laura nothing was never any trouble and she always had a smile on her face thankyou. Great entertainment at the hotel elvis and micheal Jackson was so professional. The only minor niggle is the room not available till 3pm on arriving at the hotel at 10.30am but was all inclusive straight away, real nice touch from carolina sorolle guest experience manager we returned to our room to find a bottle 🍾 cava 🥂 on ice thankyou and all the team.

Great hotel and staff....shame about the luke warm food!
Hotel and staff were great however the food lets it down. There is a good variety of food at every meal however it is luke warm. We read other reviews about cold food prior to booking but figured people often complain or are a bit fussy. Sadly however we found every meal was luke warm. We would not stay again fof this reason.

Cons
Lifts. A disaster. 20minute wait times. Sometimes never came. Had to carry a stroller 10 stories countless times. Also the stair door loudly bangs when going through and everyone was walking because of the lack of lifts. I'd say tge noise in the rooms there was horrific.
Pool does not open until 10!
Beach bar closes at 6!
Only one light in room, all on or none. Ideal for waking a baby.
Air con takes 90min to feel any effect. Can't imagine being there in a heatwave.

Pool beds are extremely uncomfortable. You'd prefer tge old school blue ones for comfort.
Greta location, poor security, terrible lifts
Location was amazing and close to Torremuelle train station for easy access to Malaga Lifts were very poor and unreliable. The property is 12 floors and the stairwells are not air conditioned. Walking up them was a real problem as waiting for the very small and cramped lifts was too long . Our hotel room door was left open by staff when we were out one day and caused significant distress as I needed to check my whole room to make sure nothing had been taken. I complained but received no call back from the duty manager despite requesting one.
