Families with small kids will appreciate the children's swimming area, while sports enthusiasts can play a game of squash or tennis or go on a biking trip. For a relaxing moment, guests can visit to the on-site bar and have refreshing drink before dinner in the restaurant. The spacious rooms are elegantly decorated with light and soothing colours to create a comfortable atmosphere. Excellent for disabled, level access to beachfront, very easy to communicate with the hotel and very accommodating.
Our honest review
Back again for another stay this year. This will be my honest report. We booked nearly a year in advance where we requested a certain area but were disappointed when this wasn’t provided. We highlighted this and were moved after 1 day. This year the hotel has upgraded with new walk in showers. A big plus. New mattresses are too big for the bed with an overhang and they just don’t feel right. New steps to the pool are great. Breakfast was hit and miss. Bacon either rock hard and inedible or undercooked. Some eggs cold ! Cereal choice is poor. I feel the hotel goes for quantity over quality. Lunch available at the bar pool area. First time eating here in a couple of years. Food that came out was unfortunately below standard. Both our choices were poor at best. Cold and tasteless. Entertainment every evening and we really liked the Tenors trio. Great entertainment area with somewhat uncomfortable seating. Biggest complaint in this area was the number of guests who smoked. Especially those who left their tables at dinner, came over to the seated area, smoked and then returned to their food. No respect given. Perhaps a designated smoking area is required. We love this hotel because of its proximity to the marina area and the excellent staff and housekeepers. You have a couple of areas to work on and I hope you act on our concerns.

A lovely relaxing time at The MacPuerto Hotel in Benalmadina .
We spent 10 nights at the MacPuerto in Benalmadina in September 2026. Everything about the hotel is great, staff so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The room and shower room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The food in the dining was excellent, after 2 nights bed and breakfast we upgraded to half board.
Very good nightly entertainment and then a great location to walk out to the harbour or beach area.
Plenty of local shops for water etc and the beach is lovely and so close by.
We will definitely consider this hotel in the future and we would give it 5 stars *****
Fantastic Hotel
Hotel is in a great location . On arrival reception staff very welcoming and efficient . Rooms are cleaned to a very high standard daily . The pool area is also spotless and good availability of sun beds . Restaurant staff work extremely hard ensuring plenty of seating available. There is a fantastic choice both for breakfast and dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxed . All staff we encountered were very friendly . Another great holiday here .

Our favourite hotel
Returned for our 2nd week in 2026, this time with our adult family. We have been coming to this hotel regularly since 2013 and look forward to many more visits. Rooms are spacious, plenty of storage, quiet, beds comfortable, bathrooms well equipped, breakfast full of variety, plenty of choice at the evening meal, staff welcoming and helpful. Location is near perfect close to the Marina, beach and the Torremolinos promenade. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year
