Absolutely horrendous.
This was our second time to Sunset Beach and it will definitely be our last.
We emailed in advance of our stay, asking to be put in a quiet room as our child and myself are autistic. Our first room was directly over the pool - the noisiest place possible, the second room had a faulty air conditioning unit that was so noisy, it vibrated the entire apartment. So we had to move a THIRD time. This room had a broken TV which needed replacing. The sofa bed was absolutely disgusting and one of the guests had to sleep on it for the whole stay. The whole fiasco involved multiple trips to reception to communicate with staff with broken English. Asun was very helpful and did her very best to accommodate. But this should never have happened and it robbed us of our first two days of our holiday.
Next, the absolutely disgusting food in the Oasis restaurant left 3 of us with food poisoning. I have never in my life seen food so disgusting. Everything freezing cold, completely inedible. You ought to be ashamed serving food of that quality to anyone and charging those prices for absolute muck.
The pools were jammed with rowdy kids and aggressive adults with lifeguards not giving a crap about other people's safety or comfort. They were exceptionally rude when I asked where to pick up a beach towel and spent most of their time on their phones.
Then, my 11 year old child was sexually groped in the lift by a grown man. This was reported to reception who said they identified the man and the incident on CCTV. Yet, no reporting to the police. Just said they would 'keep an eye out for him'. My child is completely traumatised.
We are going through an enormously stressful period in our lives and I spent 2,000 euros on this holiday. I spent the majority of it stressed, sick, explaining myself or queuing for reception or lifts.
I don't want a response merely apologising. I feel utterly robbed and genuinely damaged by this holiday. It is not hard to honour such basic requests, especially when it involves a disability. It is not hard to manage a restaurant to make sure that chefs arent making guests sick with disgusting food. It is not hard to protect your guests, especially when the incident involves a disabled child. This is just unacceptable and people need to be made aware of what they are paying for.
I am genuinely shocked by how bad this holiday was and will never forget it - for all the wrong reasons. May you have more respect for people in the future.

Really nothing negative to say about this stay. Bearing in mind how huge the complex is, it is incredibly well run by some fantastic, really friendly people. The levels of cleanliness are as high as I’ve ever experienced at a hotel and the rooms were very well maintained and comfortable. Excellent transport links around the complex, the beach is right outside and the onsite restaurants are of a very good standard. Additionally there is a very well stocked supermarket onsite so if you so desired you would not have to leave the premises at all. Great entertainment for all the family onsite as well. The only thing stopping me giving a five star review is the elevator service. With so many rooms on site there are just not enough lifts to keep you going, an issue if you are on the 14th floor. Otherwise I highly recommend Sunset Beach.

Absolute chaos!
Group of friends with kids ages 10-24 months.
Pros:
If your kids are above 4 and you're up for a laugh, you'll have a lot of fun.
Breakfast is ok.
Supermarket on site is very handy, expensive but very handy.
Cons:
Pools are jammed.
Lifts are a disaster, 20minute wait at times.
Noise from the "entertainment" between 8-10 which was a different person butchering songs nightly was deafening. Kept the kids up until it was done. Wouldn't mind as much if you could listen, it was shockingly bad.
Food in the restaurants is awful, avoid.
Where did all the kids come from ??????
We booked this holiday and hotel thinking school holidays are over and the hotel would be free of school aged kids.......boy were we wrong!!!! The hotel was packed with mostly Irish kids who for some reason had not returned to school, running riot in the corridors, screaming shouting, slamming doors, taking over the pool area, we visited pool for less than 3 hours and left on 1 day and did not return due to the noise, not being able to relax and being crammed in like sardines with the sun loungers, which were in a bad condition, around the pool. The pool area needs cleaning up with the floors especially being slippery, it looks like the floors have had grey paint over the original green paint which is flaking off and also making it slippery even at the front of the hotel. The hotel is nice entering on the 6th floor, we had a room allocated on the 8th floor. We were self catering and the room had a small kitchen area where we made breakfast everyday and spent the rest of the day eating out. The bathroom is very cosy, twin beds and a sofa bed which was disgusting and in a terrible state, I certainly would not sleep on it, very dirty and tired. Check in was very slow, they need more staff. Other negative issues with this hotel were
- The other guests were very noisy at the smoking areas outside the main entrance which we could hear from our 8th floor mountain view room, this carried on until at least 2 am every night.
- Being on holiday we thought we would have a lie-in past 9am but no chance due to the cleaning staff banging trollies and talking so loudly.
- When we got the 8th floor room no one mentioned that there would be 4 weddings taking place on the 7th floor with very loud guests in the corridors and the before mentioned noise till late by the smoking area.
- Location of the hotel is about 30-40 minutes from the Marina but there are some restaurants within 10 minutes.
- Not enough lifts, always rammed and forever waiting, we did venture to the lifts at the far side of the hotel which were better but an inconvenience
Positives
- Bus Stop and taxis available outside hotel.
- Staff cleaned hotel regularly, yet noisily.
This hotel is classed as a 4 star but I would rate it as a 3. Would I recommend this hotel? Not for me, too big, not enough loungers around the pool, no discipline.

Not 4 star, not wheelchair friendly,took an hour to check in and then the rooms weren't ready! Spent more time waiting on lifts
Definitely not 4 star,the wheelchair access is dangerous and horrific to get up, the lifts are to small for wheelchairs.the shower leaked, the cooker didn't work,crowds of young people hanging about the entrance, litter everywhere.
