A Great hotel in a beautiful hotel in a lovely location.
Great relaxing stay - so glad we chose this hotel. We booked through Saga and had a wonderful time. Chose Privilege option and felt it was worth the extra. Our room on the 6th floor had an outstanding view across the bay towards Gibraltar. Room was a little dated - no USB points and could only plug the kettle in close to the floor - but was comfortable. Balcony had 2 chairs a small table a lounger and an umbrella. Bathroom was excellent a large walk in shower - request a shower mat if mobility problems as floor a little slippy. Entrance to the hotel is impressive clean and comfortable. Reception and check in excellent thanks to Angie who was friendly and helpful. The Alboran restaurant was good and we were able to book a table for 2 for lunch and dinner when we arrived. A large variety of food available - especially meats and fish which were cooked on the grill. Service could at times be slow to clear plates etc and seemed understaffed at times. Must mention Angie with the beautiful hair who was an excellent friendly and caring waitress at all times. We had breakfast in the Thalassa restaurant as part of the Privilege package and this was a great way to start the day- all dishes and drinks served at the table by Eva who looked after us very well. Although a distance from Estepona the bus stop was close by and taxis reasonable. Hotel in a beautiful location with a mountain behind. Beautiful gardens well looked after. Overall an excellent hotel and we shall certainly return.

Enjoyable Stay and Location
The hotel is situated in a quiet location with close access to the beach which also has a well maintained promenade that allows you to take a lovely walk either to the Marina or in the other direction along the coast looking out to sea with Gibraltar in the distance.
On our arrival front desk were very helpful in explaining what was available at the hotel and its hotel policies, one being towels being removed after 45 minutes if no one had returned to them (unfortunately this policy was never enforced, with some guests leaving towels on their beds for many hours!!).
Our room was Junior Suite with Privilege, very spacious and clean, and for me to say clean, must mean clean. Housekeeping staff were very good, we asked for our room to be cleaned at a certain time and this was done on most days. We also asked a couple of things to be brought to our room. These were brought to us in a matter of minutes. Plenty of storage available for clothes etc. The room itself 448 looks out to sea and has some good views, the only slight downside was that it was along with nearby rooms situated over where live music took place most nights, but finished at 23.00. Some people might have had a problem if they wished to go to bed during these times.
The hotel is well maintained main building and gardens, we booked the Spa which is very clean and has numerous activities to use, staff all round were very helpful and friendly.
We used the Privilege members sun terrace, beds always available with free alcohol, fruit drinks, housekeeping comes round and literally wash down the sun loungers, furniture etc. Never saw anyone abusing the free drinks by taking them outside the terrace, makes a change.
We had breakfast at the Thalassa restaurant every morning, very peaceful, really nice views and the lady who served us most morning was exceptional nice and efficient, could not do enough for us (thank you). Had one meal at the Terrace Grill bar, tapas was very nice, service was good and views form here looking out to sea at sunset was awesome.
We stayed for 2 weeks, and after our experience at this H10 will well may return next year, one of the best of the H10's we have stayed at.
I would have given the hotel 5 stars, however with the fully inclusive deals the first week had some guests that with some being drunk, very loud around one pool which most guests avoided when they were in the area, secondly the issues with bed blocking with towels, (Global culture) however, no way can the hotel enforce this as there is no structure in place, some hotels do have systems that avoid this pathetic behaviour of guests. I would suggest that on arrival management do not state a towel removal policy is present.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves, thank you to all staff at the hotel.

Just returned from 2 weeks in in the sun. Below I have listed our experiences:
Ours was a Jet2 Holiday booking from Bristol to Malaga. Excellent service. 22kg hold luggage.10 kg of cabin luggage (overhead) and an under seat bag max 10kg.
GOOD ADVICE; If you or your other half have ANY difficulty walking or can’t face long walks add ASSISTED TRAVEL at the time of booking. No age limits, no qualifying medical conditions. Benefits are straight through Security, priority for passport control and a wheelchair direct to the plane and priority boarding. Bliss.
I don’t know if Jet2 organised Assisted Travel at Malaga but I also booked with the Spanish airport they have an organisation called Aiya, Google it and book. We were driven through everything and dropped at our gate and had reserved seats.
Only downside, if it was one, was you wait until the plane emptied, but you usually had transport that quickly caught you up.
This action to call upon Assisted Travel took all the stress out of the airport. Don’t hesitate to book it – it is free and anyone can apply.
The EES entry system was easy to operate, we didn’t have any queues.
THE HOTEL:
First impressions – HUGE lobby. Spotless. Lots of quiet seating areas. Lifts and stairs. Very attentive Reception staff
Room: We had a superior seaview room with balcony. Secluded with chairs. Rather a high solid wall that blocked the view if seated but gave us some privacy. Room air conditioned and it worked! And it was silent! All topped off by a giant ceiling fan, also silent. Beds were large but truthfully not that comfortable. No Premier Inn here. Lots of pillows. Room serviced daily, but as always the lack of prediction as to when the room was going to get ‘done’
Plenty of storage, including a fridge (that didn’t make ice)
The carpets in the corridors are a bit disappointing. They need a good clean. However, on the day of departure the Receptionist assured me they are planning new carpets next year.
Outside facilities were up there with the ‘Posh’ hotels. Beautiful landscaping with palm trees .Lots of interlocked pools so you could find your own spot. Kids pools – but this is not a hotel for kids, they have a kids club etc but really a hotel for mature grown ups. Pools closes quite early. Life guard and Towel station. Sun beds, quite comfortable and plenty of them – no pre booking or reserving for the day allowed.
The Beach: Walk through the pools area onto brad walk way and across to the sands. Disappointing to be honest. Quite coarse and ‘dirty’ looking. Small children might not notice the quality and not much use for bucket and spade games. Shaded thatched sun umbrellas on the beach.
Location. Right out of the hotel and about 30/40 minutes walk to the Port with a fair selection of restaurants etc. A Market here every Sunday. A bit of a bun fight. Mostly goodish quality Touristy stuff for sale. Not a proper locals market.
Back up from the market to the main road level, turn right off the round about and you will eventually reach the sea front and a wide flat smooth promenade about a 10 min walk from the port. Shops etc on the side of the promenade, cafes etc. Wonderful shady gardens with seating all along the front. The hotel has a supply of town maps and they will give you advice. ¾ of the way along the promenade there is a kink, turn left up into old Town and start exploring
Staff They all worked VERY HARD. You would see them at breakfast then at lunch in the restaurants, later in the dining room and later in the tapas bar. Don’t forget to leave an appropriate tip for all the staff when you settle up.
Food. We were B&B but occasionally ate in the main restaurant at night. There was plenty of choice, hot and cold food and plenty of it. On our last night they had an enormous seafood display, prawns, langoustines etc. Excursions We only took one - to Gibraltar. E70 each for the Gib tour. We had a little bit of time to dip our toe into the town the rest we transferred to a mini bus to tour the Rock. We saw the Gibraltar Apes, St Michaels caves (Cheddar Gorge is better) They are rather damp and dark and lots of steep steps. We drove past the Wartimes caves which would be have been more interesting. On your return find a book called ‘Scruffy’ by Paul Gallico for a good read about the apes in wartime.
OVERALL Just what we had hoped for. Relaxed atmosphere, we felt totally safe everywhere we went. The Spanish were very friendly and hospitable. Spain is no longer a ‘cheap’ holiday so be prepared. Avoid Sangria – try Tinto de Verano instead. We can thoroughly recommend the hotel and Estepona as a destination.

Great stay at beautiful hotel
Had a great week at Estapona palace beautifully kept hotel , great friendly staff, very attentive. at mealtimes , never had to wait for drinks service . Food was beautifully displayed, fresh , plentiful, and extremely varied. My room was attended to every day , so spotless ,the staff were all extremely hardworking p friendly. Only wish I’d stayed longer . Definitely would go back and highly recommend,Pool and gardens are lovely, never a
