Lovely Hotel
Welcome entrance 😡not good welcome SMOKER ZONE ++++++ horrible not a great start inhaling smoke nor good look for hotel guest arriving, they should like other areas of hotel have designated smoke zone, not when entering hotel. Check in simple and easy with a warm welcome. Room 5241 Block 5 great no complaints Lifts worked great also. Value for money ??? 🤷♀️ Ok NEGATIVE first. 1 - SMOKING at front of hotel, not a good look or welcome with this. 2- POOL TOWELS🙈 can only change between yes 4-6 !!! well pool opens until 7pm absolute joke, but don’t be discouraged, one person go with towels get card back then no brained next person goes gets new towels 🤷♀️😡😡totally crazy. 3 - ENTREATMENT Would have been good to see more professional acts rather than animation team trying to best by miming, but they tried there best with what they did.
POSITIVES :
LOCATION Central 10 min walk to main strip, but few shops round about for bits, also restaurants if you wanted a change. Good transport service, bus 123 or T2 cheap also, trains as well 5 min walk. We went to Mcarthur glen outlet, nice change designer shops. HOTEL Staff extremely friendly nothing any bother to them. ROOMS . Maids in daily with towel changes, room was spacious with large walk in shower, safe in room free of charge. USB plug chargers, Air con and ceiling fan, good sized balcony. FOOD 2 x bookable restaurants, we to both, but main restaurant was amazing, so just went to that each night, great self service but staff were very good at clearing tables. Fantastic choice for all meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also snack bar until 6pm. Wine, beers, justice’s, water all on tap, spirits at bar and branded if you ask for them. Hotel has good access for wheelchair if needed. POOL 3 pools tried them all, all good and no war for sun loungers at either pools.and lots of parasols. Also kids zone and small paddling pool down by B5, Bar at both ends of complex and self service area as well. Life guard around but mainly on their phones, BEACH Public beach , 6 euro for lounger and parasol for the day, right across from hotel. Need cards to exit and enter. Would we go back YES

Fantastic
What an absolute amazing hotel,from checking in to leaving we received 5 star treatment, every single member of staff could not do enough for us ,the food was amazing and the drinks were excellent my wife and I both enjoyed the cava both rose and white ,we ate in the Italian and Spanish restaurants most nights as we enjoyed the food there the most ,the entertainment team worked tirelessly throughout the day keeping all nationalities entertained noone was left out ,the staff never stopped cleaning tidying up ,the whole hotel was immaculate thank you for an amazing holiday and we will definitely will be returning in the near future.

Our 4th stay at the Riu CDS and enjoyed it just the same as before. Ticks all the boxes - lovely staff, great location, excellent food, clean and well maintained. See you again next year😀

Amazing hotel!
Amazing hotel. Lots going on all the time. Friendly staff, clean hotel , always food and drink available 24 hours . No sunbed wars. Shops nearby and walking distance to centre of torremolinos and a bit further for benalmadena but lots of shops,pubs and restaurants all the way along. Couldn’t fault hotel we are already planning our second visit next June and can’t wait!
Our 2nd stay at the Riu Costa Del Sol didn't disappoint.
.We have just returned from a 2wk stay at the Riu Costa Del Sol, and have had a really lovely time. This hotel is situated at the beginning of the Torremolinis coast line, which gives the beauty of being able to walk or taxi into the main areas for more life, if that is what you want. The hotel access from the airport is very easy as it takes around 20 mins in a taxi ( about 15-20€). The CDS is a lovely hotel and caters for all different nationality's. The set up is easily walkable, as it is on the flat. It is predominantly at hotel that is used by an older clientele due to it's position. It is immaculately clean (as with other Riu hotels) and the garden areas are kept in a lovely condition. The food is very good and I would defy anyone to not be able to find anything they like. It is a repeatable 7 day menu, which is usual for all Riu's. There is ample seating available for dining sessions and the staff are lovely. The drinks are of AI quality, but are very drinkable and the bar staff are very very efficient with very minimal queues. There are 3 bar areas at different areas to be able to enjoy a drink if you so wish. This hotel is situated right across the road from the beach, which has a number of bar/restaurants available for lunch if you so choose. The beach is cleaned every morning by a tractor pulling a sand siving machine leaving it looking lovely. There are lifeguards patrolling during the day, controlling times when the sea is rough (which for us was around 3dys out of 14), but the sun was continually shining for the 2wks we were there. The only drawback I found was the pool towel time, which was only from 16.00 - 18.00 and only at one station situated at the middle of the hotel areas. This was inconvenient as it meant you had to be aware of the time if you wanted your towels changed and depending where you was seated, it could be a bit of a walk to change them. But heyho if that's the time, that's the time. So it's not a complaint. We have stayed in a number of Riu's around the world and I must say, this hotel is my new favourite, as it is just over 2hrs away and provides everything we need for our stay. We will be back for more regular stays as we have found a gem of a hotel giving very affordable holidaying.
