Buendía is not a conventional stay. One hundred nine duplex and penthouses created to live a truly local experience. A stay with everything that makes vacations be vacations, in the middle of one of the most beautiful places in Fuerteventura. A no-hotel created at Corralejo for those who, instead of visiting, prefer living it. We don't want our apartments to be the place you stay in during your vacations, but a house you live in when you come to Corralejo. And, you know what they say: your house, your rules. Live whatever you want to in any of our duplex and penthouses with 1 or 2 bedrooms, with sea views or towards our great inner courtyard. Buendía is located in beautiful Corralejo, one of the most magical places in Fuerteventura. You'll be by the sea and only 5 minutes away from the old town, so you can forget about the car or the bus. You're a bike ride away from everywhere!

Lovely hotel
Lovely accommodation. Clean, comfortable and looks good. Would benefit from air conditioning but the ceiling fans were pretty good. Staff were lovely and helpful and the pool area was clean and relaxed. We enjoyed the pool table and book swap. They are committed to being environmentally friendly also. The food at the bar was nice but a bit more fancy and expensive than we would have liked.

Fabulous stay at Buendia!
We stayed at Buendia for 10 days and absolutely loved it!
We arrived late due to a delayed flight and, despite there not being 24-hour reception, we were greeted and shown to our room by a member of staff, which was a lovely welcome after a long journey.
Our duplex apartment was incredibly spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. I know some reviews have mentioned that the apartments are only cleaned once a week, but this is clearly stated on the website before booking. The apartments are also equipped with cleaning essentials, including brushes, mops and cloths, so it was absolutely no issue for me to have a quick clean when needed. Fairy Liquid and dishwasher tablets were provided and were restocked after a week.
The staff were exceptional throughout our stay and nothing was ever too much trouble. You can WhatsApp the reception staff and they respond straight away!
There was, of course, the usual issue with sun loungers! The policy clearly states that towels shouldn’t be left on loungers to ensure that all guests have the opportunity to use them, but unfortunately some guests ignored this and then complained when the lifeguard moved their towels. This is always going to be an issue at hotels, but personally I think the policy is perfectly reasonable and fair.
We hired a car for our stay, which I would highly recommend. We did discover that it is much cheaper to hire one directly from the airport, so that’s something we’d do differently if we stayed again.
There are some absolutely beautiful beaches just a short drive away, but we also enjoyed exploring the island. We bought a beach umbrella for our daughter so she had some shade and took packed lunches with us. If you’re planning to do the same, I’d definitely recommend taking a cool bag and ice blocks.
The supermarket is around a five-minute walk away and there’s also a Lidl just a short drive away. As others have mentioned, there is no oven in the apartment, but personally this wasn’t an issue for us. We’ve stayed in plenty of self-catering accommodation where an oven isn’t provided, so we simply adapted and used the hob when cooking meals. There is also a huge choice of local restaurants, and many offer takeaway services too.
You can pay for an additional cleaning service if you don’t want to clean during your stay, and there’s also a laundrette on site. A wash cost €6, including washing liquid and fabric conditioner. The apartment also has a clothes airer, and thanks to the heat and breeze, our washing dried incredibly quickly.
I completely understand that some people don’t want to do any cleaning or washing while they’re on holiday, but these are self-service apartments and the website clearly explains the facilities and services that are included. I’d definitely recommend reading the information carefully before booking so you know exactly what to expect.
For us personally, none of this detracted from our holiday at all. We loved our stay and would definitely return!
If we came back, I’d pack fewer clothes and bring a few more everyday cooking essentials. That said, there’s a Euro market just a short walk away which sells literally everything you could think of at very reasonable prices, so you really don’t need to worry if you forget anything.
We had the best holiday and would absolutely recommend Buendia. We can’t wait to return!

An enjoyable stay
We stayed at Buendía for 9 nights in August (family of 2 Adults and 2 teens) and overall had an enjoyable holiday. The complex has a superb pool area, friendly helpful staff and a nice on site restaurant.
Pool & Facilities: The pool area was excellent. It was spacious, clean, and with very comfortable loungers. that weren’t on top of each other, with plenty of parasols.The pool area officially opens at 9am, and if you’re down before around 09:30 you’ll almost always get a lounger, even in school holidays. Leave it until 10am and most will be taken, but for getting a lounger Buendia is still far better than many hotels we’ve stayed in. We did see the lifeguard rightly removing towels by those who had left them and disappeared without trace, which was good to see. The Waves pool bar served great lunches and drinks, and you can have everything brought directly to your lounger.
Food: We had breakfast at Waves each morning. It was nice overall, though my eldest daughter did sometimes struggle with the options. It would be great to see enhanced options such as crepes with Nutella (to cater more for the younger ones) or even a simple made to order omelette station added. That said what was on offer was of good quality, including proper English bacon!
Apartment: We booked a 2‑bed apartment (room 334) with a rooftop terrace. The rooftop was really nice, very spacious with views of both the pool and the sea, and included a nice seating area 2 sun loungers. The apartment itself was clean and functional but perhaps a little basic for our taste. Storage in the main bedroom was extremely limited (a metal drum with 3 small shelves and a hanging rail) so we ended up using the ironing board for storing clothes. Adding a proper storage unit in the main bedroom, a mirror in the spare bedroom, and slightly improving the décor would IMO make a big difference without costing too much.
The apartment came equipped with washing‑up liquid, a bottle of water, dishwasher tablets and cleaning items, but you’ll need to bring your own shampoo and shower gel.
Staff & Service: The staff were a real asset, friendly, helpful and quick to respond. We had a couple of small issues on arrival, but reception sorted everything promptly via the WhatsApp chat, which worked really well if you had any requests or issues during your stay.
Location: Great location: about 5 minutes to a large Hyperdino supermarket, 10 minutes to Music Square and the main strip, and around 25 minutes walk to the water park. We booked the buggy tour and the Lobos glass‑bottom boat trip through the “GetYourGuide” app and both were excellent. We also highly recommend Land of Freedom Tapas restaurant (just past the shopping centre in the main strip) for a special meal. We ended up going twice and we can see why it’s ranked number 1 on Tripadvisor.
Other Notes: As we stayed over 7 nights, we had a room clean and towel change on day 5. (Not automatically included for stays of 8 days or less). There’s no air‑conditioning in the apartments, but the outside breeze plus ceiling and floor fans made it manageable even in August. Our youngest however struggled with the heat on the top bunk in the second bedroom, so she slept on the sofa in the living room for the duration of our holiday where there was a ceiling fan.
We were able to extend our checkout time from 11am until 2pm at a cost of just 30€ which was much appreciated and made our last day much less stressful. Extension requests are to be done on the day of departure via WhatsApp.
Overall, Buendía offers a relaxed, friendly stay with a fantastic pool area and great staff, with perhaps a few small tweaks needed to the apartment interiors. We can certainly recommend the Buendia and if you’ve booked I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Family hoilday
Lovely spacious apartment with upstairs 2 bedrooms as we teenagers with was great for them staff where lovely 10 minutes walk into town nearest supermarket is 5 minutes walk pool area lovely but sometimes hard to get sunbed as other guests leave there towels on bed and go out the staff should remove towels for other guests to enjoy the pool area the only disappointment was we stayed for 2 weeks and only clean apt once fresh towels change one time if needed more fresh towels they charge you extra no air con ceiling fans there not great as it very humid at night also there no oven or grill in apt only hob and microwave and cant get food in restaurant after 7pm bare in mind if getting food shop cant do pizza e.t.c otherwise we did enjoy out stay

Great family holiday
Great apartments in a really good location. 10 minutes walk to the music square and 15 minutes to the beach. The apartments are comfortable and well equipped. There’s a local supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. Staff very helpful throughout our stay. The check in was a bit of an ordeal, probably as we were a party of eight and it was late in the evening and on line process wasn’t straightforward. We missed a bar and entertainment in the evening but appreciated the chilled vibe. We didn’t eat lunch at the waves but the menu looked ok. Some of our party had breakfast and they said it was lovely and lots of choice. For the family with three children of mixed ages we missed activities but the pool was good, not too big and sometimes a bit hectic but also appreciated we stayed in the busy season. Our apartments were right in front of the pool area which was great. The whole complex was super clean. It was our second time in Corralejo and overall we had a fabulous holiday.
