Great holiday/just don’t let the small inconveniences get you down!
Upon arrival check in was fairly quick, easy to follow, everything was nice and clean! We looked at previous reviews so managed our expectations of a 4star to a 2/3 star at most which we agree with. Staff were absolutely amazing I couldn’t fault any of them, they worked so hard and such long hours and always said hello. Drinks… really really watered down, we were asking for doubles/extra shots in the cocktails but struggled to feel any other than sober. Beer tasted like dishwater and I didn’t even try the wine. We found going out for drinks we were easily merry after one… Disappointing as other all inclusive we have visited that has never been an issue. Pool had rocks and uneven surface but refreshing and they checked the chlorine everyday so just close your eyes and dunk under. About 4 parasols for the whole hotel so bring lots of factor 50 unless you want to be burnt to a crisp. We did see people buy their own but you had to hold them. Our room was lovely and spacious, clean upon arrival and new towels and room cleaned everyday. Our only moan is the shower kept over flooding as the base of it was sunken when stepped upon. Our room was situated overlooking Breckfast and games so quiet we thought… however the back of our room was where the waste disposal was so it was super loud and disruptive in early/late hours. Air conditioning worked fine! But don’t close the balcony door behind you as you will get locked out due to the handle being broken… Food, unless you like salads and bread and chips, don’t expect much more. I was happy as I love making my own salads etc but for my bf who needs stodge and protein he was left quite hungry. Chefs were using hands to scoop pasta that had fallen into dirty countertop and put back into the fryers, no flavour and didn’t clean after use. Pizza was available but tasted nothing like pizza, paella was just oily watery slop and stews were clearly made from old food that nobody wanted and tasted like mush, my highlight of the food was probably Breckfast where you could have churros and yoghurts with seeds/jams etc. Fresh honey comb! All salad stuff was super fresh and yummy!
We ate out every night and so glad we did as we discovered some amazing restaurants and bars! Just disappointing we had to spend more than intended due to the food and drink not being that great at the hotel. Location was brilliant though, so it wasn’t a terrible experience. I just wouldn’t rate the hotel a 4 star. I would visit again if they fixed above issues, I heard they are having a revamp so don’t let my review put you off. I’d also like to empathise again how brilliant the staff were, just small issues which lets the experience down as a whole. We loved fuerteventura! Don’t let this review put you off, I just had to be honest. The holiday is what you make it! 💗
Perfect week
Stayed 2nd to 9th of August, absolutely lovely hotel, needs a lick of paint here and there but certainly didn't spoil our holiday, had room 2203 overlooking the quiet pool, room was perfectly fine, cleaned every day. No rush for sunbeds, plenty left at 10 o'clock, food was very nice, freshly cooked pizza, pasta and meat every day, lots of choice for breakfast. Never queued very long for a drink on an evening, all staff we spoke to were absolutely lovely and never stop working, they are a credit to your hotel. Very central location, 2 minutes to main strip, lots of shops and bars. Hopefully we will be back in the next couple of years, thanks for an amazing week at bluesea Bahia de lobos
Better that than expected
Overall we had a great time at this hotel. Few minor points to raise:- Pool area could have been cleaned more as the tiled floor was quite grubby from dust and spilt drinks. Lack of parasols around the pool, we did see more being brought out during the two eeek stay but we ended up buying our own to use when we didn’t get a parasol around the pool. Plastic cups for the pool bar, great idea for tidyness but not big enough. We brought our own bottles and had no issue filling them up.
Hotel room - quite spacious and clean. Balcony overlooked the quiet pool (room 2204) and had sun most of the day until early evening. Beds were quite comfy and plenty of pillows. Ample wardrobe space as well as a fridge and safe within. Air conditioning was non existent and couldn’t get it to work properly.
Restaurant - got very busy at key times but always managed to find a seat either staff clearing tables quickly. Overall the food was a good selection and fresh. Became a bit repetitive over two weeks but would always find something to eat. Food items regularly replenished by staff during the dining times.
Entertainment - didn’t really use this as the seating area outside was quite small and we couldn’t get a seat. Although there were other seats inside it was way too hot to sit on there.
The hotel location was spot on, short walk to all the shops, bars and restaurants. We spent most evenings in Music square and then onto the Rock Cafe where live bands played every evening. Big shout out to Michael the reggae singer, Charlie the rock singer and Goran who sang a range of songs from the 80/90’s.
I would go back to the hotel even with the few niggles. Please don’t be put off by the negative reviews as the hotel was better than we expected. Would love to return after the refurbishment which I believe starts in November.
Great location for a couple
All in all I found the hotel to be perfectly nice. Stayed in a standard double room, plenty of space for a couple. Our room was near the quiet pool so no noise during the stay. Evening entertainment was hit and miss but you can't please everyone all of the time. Food was fine for an all inclusive, why some people expect Michelin star food at an all in resort is beyond me. Plenty of food options throughout the day and a chance to try things you might not ordinarily eat. Housekeeping everyday although a couple of days we had a lay in so asked not to have it. Mini bar sized fridge in the room so you can keep your drinks cold (milk for tea). Hotel is well located for the area and sits at the start of the town. Waterpark is a 5 minute walk accross the road which was nice. The beach was about a 10 to 15 minute stroll through the town. Overall had a great stay.
Not the same
Been in here 5 times already , im writing to you while im here now , evertying as change no music by the pool now really boring not activities like before we had. Even the food not pike before for the third day im seing the same rice quality for me to pick it up. All that staff they had in here to entretain they all out . Its a shame 5 years coming in here every single year!
