Lovely hotel , location is great , we went all inclusive which is where the hotel lets itself down , u are made feel like second class citizens one u have the band on some of the staff are so rude and unhelpful at all , but others where so nice and couldnt do enough for guests the rstaurant food was quite good not big options but themed nights so always something to eat , food at pool bar tho was always freezing and if kids wanted pizza u still have to pay 12 euro for it although u are all inclusive the coctails for all inclusive are from a machine and not very nice but if u are paying u get the proper made coctails from the bar staff , same as the beer u pour yourself was just foam most the times , we had to get the beer from the restaurant before it closed as it was better in there , the games room is quite big at the bar for kids but beware half the machines dont work and keep the money and others that do work cost wise for kids u will spend money there , the entertainment is very basic , no kids entertainment only 1 girl doing 3 songs and face painting at 6 pm to 6.15 pm then 2 piece bands on from 8.30 to 10 pm and nothing after that not even backround music , our room was spotless on arrival but was only cleaned 2 days for the whole 10 days we where there and had to go reception for clean towels which was charged 1 euro per towel , we had sliding doors and when we where out while the cleaner did come in she left the door open after she finished anyone could have went into the room and when u lock the doors inside , make sure u put the catch on because it will seem locked inside , but walk outside and u can just slide the doors open , so unless the catches are on the rooms are not very secure , we would go back and stwy here again , but defo wouldnt go all inclusive
Had a really lovely holiday and the hotel was so much better than anticipated. Cleaning staff are really good and daily towel change and bins. Pool bar staff are not friendly apart from one lady who has a brunette pony tail - twice they got my order wrong and twice they were rude to me about it so if we do come back it’s unlikely we will use the bar again. Reception staff are ok - a couple are very off hand a couple are ok. However we loved the hotel and the resort so we may come back.
Very clean and tidy rooms, although very hot so highly recommend getting a fan (we were there when there was 3 days of 37 degrees). Majority of pool bar staff nice. Would come back if they had air con in the rooms or you could choose where your room was as ours had no breeze.
Location - about 10-15 minute walk to the top of the strip, turn right when coming out of the hotel and then left at the bottom of the road, the waterpark entrance is also located near the top of the strip but you go left by the roundabout. if you turn right at the hotel and then right again at the top of the road ou will come to the Sports bar which is a good place to watch football.
Rooms - the reason for 3 star review, we went during a Cilana so was very hot with no breeze for 3 days, the rooms had no air con and just ceiling fans which never really helped with the rooms being stifling warm, particularly of a night, we hired a fan at reception for €20 deposit and €3 per day which helped but this was noisy and as we had to have on through the night we did not sleep well at all. The rooms are large, quite dated but well maintained, not enough plug sockets so ensure you bring plug extensions. The bathroom was large and had good power, housekeeping was hit and miss, we didn’t know when the cleaners would come so when they did they did not change the towels unless they were left on the bath. We were at the rear of the hotel on the 3rd floor, it is quite a large complex so it did take a good 4-5 minute walk to get to reception.
Pools and grounds - the grounds of the hotel are really well maintained, the pool areas are also clean and there were plenty of sunbeds available during the week we stayed, we were self catering so ate out every day so cannot comment on the pool bar food although it did appear to be good portions and well priced.
Staff - all staff we encountered were polite and friendly particularly the reception staff.
Overall we would give a higher rating if the rooms had air con and they had more plug sockets, the price we paid for the week was reasonable, we have stayed in Corralejo previously and do prefer to be closer to the strip, however if you can cope with very hot rooms and doing a lot of steps per day then this is a reasonable hotel to stay for the right price.
We stayed here as a family of five for 10 nights, staying in two rooms. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
After just one night, we discovered that both rooms were full of ants. We complained at reception several times over the next three days and were repeatedly told that someone would be sent out to deal with the problem. Eventually, after contacting easyJet, someone came to inspect the rooms and agreed that one of them was bad enough that we needed to be moved.
Unfortunately, the new room was also covered in ants. On top of this, we had sockets hanging off the walls, a plug stuck in the wall, and a patio door that wouldn’t lock. These were serious safety and security concerns, particularly when travelling with children. Despite making multiple complaints, nothing was properly resolved, and in the end I simply gave up.
There were a few positives. The pool area was nice and kept clean, and the shop on site was reasonably priced with very friendly staff. We didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that.
The entertainment was basically non-existent during our stay. In 10 nights, I only saw one mini-disco in the evening, which was disappointing, especially for a family holiday.
Sadly, the problems with the rooms, the lack of action after repeated complaints, and the lack of entertainment completely overshadowed the positives. We wouldn’t return to this hotel and, based on our experience, wouldn’t recommend it for a family holiday.
