Playa Park Zensation

We’ve just returned from a fantastic 10-day stay at Playa Park Zensation, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for much more. We booked two Junior Superior Suites and specifically requested ground-floor rooms next to each other and that’s exactly what we got. The rooms were a great size, beautifully suited to our family and, importantly, had excellent soundproofing. Our only small criticism was the lack of a mirror near a plug socket outside the bathroom. There is plenty of space for a full wall to wall mirror in the main bedroom area, which would make getting ready much easier when several people are trying to do their hair and makeup! A very easy thing to rectify, and certainly nothing that affected our holiday. The pool area was fantastic. The slide was perfect for the children and the kids’ area was brilliant without ever feeling too “full on”. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, which made such a difference. The entertainment throughout the day and evening was also excellent plenty going on if you wanted to join in, but equally easy to take or leave if you preferred to relax. The food was fabulous. We particularly loved the buffet, which was really well laid out with a great variety and, despite the hotel being busy, there was no horrible queuing. We also really enjoyed the à la carte restaurant. Every member of staff we came across was genuinely lovely, reception staff, cleaners, waiters and everyone in between were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lifeguards deserve a special mention. They were exceptional with the children. They didn’t speak English, but that didn’t stop them communicating brilliantly using Google Translate and making a real effort to engage with the kids. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The entertainment team were also excellent and really helped create such a happy atmosphere around the hotel. But the pièce de résistance for us was Mirri from Power Swimming School. Our five-year-old grandson arrived on holiday absolutely terrified of swimming. He didn’t even like having a shower and would cry at the thought of getting in the water. After just two one-hour lessons with Mirri, the transformation was genuinely unbelievable. He was swimming 10 metres, floating independently for 30 seconds, swimming underwater without goggles and confidently diving into the deep end! Watching his confidence grow in such a short space of time was incredible. Mirri has a wonderful way with children, she is patient, calm, encouraging and completely understands when to push them and when to give them a little reassurance. She didn’t just teach him to swim, she completely changed the way he felt about the water. Playa Park Zensation really should be shouting about Mirri and Power Swimming School. She is a huge asset to the hotel and an absolute bonus for families staying there. Having someone of her ability on-site makes such a difference, particularly for parents and grandparents who want their children to become confident and safe in the water. Overall, we absolutely loved our 10 days. It was the perfect balance of fun, relaxation, great food, brilliant facilities and genuinely lovely staff. We would happily return to Playa Park Zensation and would highly recommend it, especially to families. A fantastic hotel with a fabulous atmosphere and, for us, a very special swimming teacher who made our holiday even more memorable. ❤️

Great hotels nice rooms but make sure you have air con otherwise they’re too hot. Food was good plenty of choice and generally quite warm. Al a carte was very good really nice steak. Pools are freezing even when it’s really hot. All staff work extremely hard always cleaning
